"My buddy Keith tried camping out on top of a building once. He was shooting crows, but the police were too busy teargassin' him to ask what he was doin' up there. He screamed for an entire year every single time he opened his eyes! Oh, man! At first, it was funny; then it just got sad, but then it got funny again! Oh, man!"
No Mercy's finale was an awesome case of bad game design being good challenge design. Just meant don't fucking cheese it in the corners or you're learning to fall with style.
Imagine if phones'll let you put specific alarms on certain numbers, you hear this theme at 3 in the morning and you're panicking because your Ex called you
Imagine a zombie apocalypse starts, you get yippy and excited as you start gearing up to look like the most coolest survivor there is but 20 minutes into the apocalypse you start hearing this theme.
It’d be only after 2 weeks after first infection that specials would start popping up, as proven by the left 4 dead 1 trailer with bill examining a dead boomer saying hes never seen this before
The year is 2024, so far New York City has been absolutely blown up, and the music still remains louder then it ever was, we've grown aware that the fact we'll eventually be dead from these... Meat humans.
Once I was playing Dead Center: Streets on this game and i was on expert with low health and the Tank theme played and guess where the Tank spawned? IN THE SAFE ROOM!!!!!!!
Because the tracks in-game were meant to loop And every horde theme is made of seperate drum and instrument files that repeat randomly i.e The Parish has the trumpets and drum files seperated and are mixed randomly
this made me relive the memory of being 7 years old on my Xbox 360 fighting 4 tanks at once, I was drenched in sweat, had tears running down my cheeks, my hands were slipping off the controller and I left visible marks from gripping it too tightly, good memories
When I first saw the tank this is what happend Me: omg were almost at the safe house Tank approaches Me wtf is that Me HOLY SHIT ITS A FUCKING ZOMBIE RICK ROSS BOTS HELP Bots stand there and dance and die so it's up to me Me: Alright bitch I'm ready Me Gotcha Me WTF where did he go Me turns around HOLY SHIT FLYING ROCK me you bitch
+Punchoutmaster1 I swear, if you have all subtitles on and you're near a tank, but he hasn't seen you, you can hear him growl and the game will say: [Tank Growls]
As you can see in the L4D1 Tank art, the Tank, although obviously deformed, still resembles more or less a human. In L4D2, you can see that the Tank has mutated farther and has become less human like. As for the Sacrifice Tank, you can see that it has a different tone of skin, a Marine's tatoo, and handcuffs on, implying that the Tank previously was a marine soldier, and likely held captive in the train car before turning. Or, sticking with the Marine soldier theory, it could be likely that the Sacrifice Tank was a survivor amd unfortunately turned and killed his fellow survivors, as seen by the big amount of corpses, guts and blood inside the train car. You can also seen a lone flashlight, still on, implying that the Tank had recently turned. Maybe while they were sleeping, the Tank turned, a fellow Survivor had turned on tbe flashlight to see what was going on, before being brutally murdered.
A few years ago when me and my brother would go to our dads apartment every other weekend, my stepmom (No longer my stepmom today due to breakup), brother, and me would play left 4 dead all night So we had just left the safe room and we heard the Tank music and ran back to the safe room and the Tank breaks down the safe room door and kills us all
Once I was doing Dead Center and I had just left the safe room and I had an axe and I had subtitles on, then the two worst words to see ever appeared on my screen... [Tank Growls...]
I love how almost all Valve games have a huge difference between first and second game, L4D1 is more for the horror side and L4D2 its comedy, TFC being serious war while TF2 its full of jokes while you kill your enemies, Portal 1 its disturbing and mysterious while Portal 2 has way more comedy, mainly playing coop, although it still has its own dark side.
If your ignore the storm, being in a swamp, the claustrophobic streets and mall, the dead ass creppy carnival and the long as run to get to the bridge and the god damn bringe itself and also the screams full of horror, panic and pain of the survivors L4D2 then yeah it's full of comedy
He might actully do leg day because when he throws a rubble he stands on his legs ,so his legs will not even be strong enough to carry that body weight.
These songs show how it feels for the survivors to see a tank raging down the street, not discerning between friend or foe, only bent on the intent to rip what life they have left from their bodies. The immense fear a hulking mass of flesh that used to be human invokes, brilliantly encapsulated in a music masterpiece. I love valve’s music teams, they always make great songs.
i genuinely appreciate how this theme, in all it's variations, commands dread and adrenaline. Something big and nasty is coming your way and unless you don't concentrate all your firepower at it, it will wipe out your team.
Let’s be honest when we were like 11 years old and we played this game we all paused the game and either was scared or turned to you friend or brother who was playing split screen with you and come up with a plan EDIT: and remember when you played versus and you only wanted to play as the zombies cuz you were scared ANOTHER EDIT: thanks so much for the likes I’ve never had 1k before!
IcedEarth1231 ikr that was me and my brother I would pause the game and just repeatedly say oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit a big dude is coming! And just threw molotovs and stuff and it and it worked :)
In reality, the "Tank" theme plays for every Tank, even in the Sacrifice. The "Taank" theme plays only in finales, regardless of L4D's version. The "One Bad Tank" and "Midnight Tank" are an exception, as they play in Dark Carnival's finale, with Midnight Tank first before One Bad Tank. The names and music are based off the Midnight Rider's songs "Midnight Ride" and "One Bad Man". Custom maps of course may use any music they like with their own tanks, so Suicide Blitz will not be considered.
Girls: Ugh... The boys never gonna understand the real fear Boys: Edit: Guys, you're the best, i'm having fun with the comments, it's nice to see L4D fans in theses days
