MK7 and DS were my childhood, taking my 3ds to school and having vs races with my friends, doing the Maka Wuhu shortcut and surprising people who didn't know about it, thinking about how stupid Queen Bee was, unlocking the golden car parts and seeing which friend was gonna get them first, and the introduction of gliding were amazing. This is a classic
I had no idea we'd be releasing these alternatingly. I sat on the Wii script for way too long and then he shadowdropped his one, which completely threw me for a loop. I had the DS and 7 ones planned for a bit as well, so I've had my fingers crossed for the last few months that he wouldn't beat me to the punch on those too.
I just wanna say I've been really enjoying all of your non-Death Battle stuff, your passion for Mario Kart really shines through in these rankings and it's a joy to listen to
It's such a joy watching these rankings. Mario Kart has always been a series I've enjoyed and I love these rankings! Fun fact about Melody Motorway: those goofy creatures that are constantly bouncing are actually pretty much the sentient music notes that help keep rhythm in Wii Music. So yes, Wii Music did end up having a definitively positive impact at all on Nintendo. It just ended up being used as inspiration for a great Mario Kart track
This video gave me so much nostalgia. 7 was my first Mario Kart game and this video made me want to open up my DS and play it again even though I own 8 deluxe.
The top 3 tracks here are honestly probably some of my favorite tracks ever in Mario Kart. Granted, I haven't played every game, anything before Wii I haven't gotten around to, but I feel like it'd be hard for anything to top them. Tracks where it's more just 3 segments than just regular laps have always been my favorite, like Mount Wario and Big Blue from 8, they just hit that spot for me that I can't describe beyond "This the good stuff". I'm so glad the Wuhu Island tracks are getting appreciation, because they're really underrated from what I've seen online
Rock Rock Mountain follows the trend of some MK tracks where a word is repeated as part of the name. So, it has that going for it. But, I like Alpine Pass more too,

MK7s track roster has always felt like the one of the weirdest, but one of the best. I feel like it has the best nitro line up out of any Mario Kart honestly.
Honesty I feel like it’s the other way around. It’s has the best retro track selection in the series while it’s nitro track selection is decent but has some ok tracks. 😂
God only just got around to watching this and although some of your takes are a bit crazy, this is really good (plus not burdened by death battles lame af schedule)
despite its early-game placement and relative simplicity, my favorite track in mk7 has got to be shy guy bazaar, PURELY because of its amazing music (especially when the frontrunning beat kicks in)
Wasnt initially planning on checking this out, mostly since mario kart isnt a game i have too much interest in. RU-vid autoplay had other plans, however. And i actually found myself really enjoying this. Love the energy you have talking about these courses, may go back and check out the other ones too for something to keep my mind busy while i work

Outside of Rock Rock Mountain (which has always been one of my favorite tracks with its amazing set pieces and satisfying area skips), this is a pretty solid ranking.
I actually would rank Maka Wuhu very low compared to Wuhu Loop because of the part that you like-the ending gliding section. The problem with this massive gliding section at the end is that there is almost no chance for a comeback as almost the entirety of the third section is just flying. It doesn’t help that the one lap tracks in this game also just tend to feel a little shorter than they should be, so you’ll start the race and blink and bam your on the glider section with no chance of winning if not in first place. I don’t usually have a problem with gliders, this is just a rare exception that brings down the quality of Maka Wuhu quite a bit for me.
Do not mind me I will just keep a running list of the starter courses like Schaffrillas did. Uh... so far on Biff's channel: 1. Toad Circuit (no not TOAD CIRCUIT, this is just toad circuit) 2. Wii Luigi Circuit (It has ramps and Boost Pads, oh-ho-ho slow down, let's not get TOO crazy.) 3. Figure-8 Circuit (It's no surprise that it is D-Tier. That course has nothing and it IS nothing. Just play on the Smash stage instead.) ...Schaff's right, this is a stupid f*cking idea, why did I suddenly decide to make a ranking of these?
I love Maka Wuhu, but the Wuhu skip kind of brings it down a bit for me because I will never not to the skip so I’m never going to see a good chunk of that course
Mario Kart Wii was possibly my favorite game as a kid behind Super Mario Galaxy and Pokémon White 2, so playing MK7 after felt like a disappointment, but this has inspired me to give it another try. I love the Mario Kart content!

It's always fun listening to you talk about funny Mario in a Honda Civic game and I'm looking forward to seeing you cover more of the series...if you end up covering more of the series. Hot Take: I think Koopa City is a better name. Growing up on MK7, I always pictured that this was where the Koopas actually lived, and that just added to the atmosphere for me. Neo Bowser City doesn’t sell that idea quite as much, and doesn’t roll of the tongue very well either.

After you basically done all the rankings for the Mario Kart Games (im guesisng youll do a seperate Rankings for Deluxe and its Booster pack Courses) You ever consider doing rankings for other Racing titles. (Im asking as someone who only really enjoys one Racing game being CTR Nitro Fueled)
With 8 Deluxe not yet finished releasing, I’ve already done videos on all the Mario Kart games I’ve played extensively. I’d definitely be interested in checking out Double Dash, possibly 64 as well if the controls grow on me more after the one round of it I played the other week was a complete disaster. Haven’t really played any other racing games too much. Tried Sonic and Sega All Stars Transformed well over a decade ago and remember nothing about it, haven’t even touched CTR once in my life.
@BiffWeed noted. Thought it could be a neat idea after (if) you rank all the games from Mario kart. Especially since I actually prefer the CTR Remaster over most Mario karts.
I may be one of the very few that love Kalimari Desert, but I don't care. I LOVE IT IN MK7 and 8DX. Something about the track, asthetic, music, and gimmick of the train just hits me deep, so I have a huge soft spot for this track. Easily my favorite desert track in the Mario Kart series.
I played mkds when I was little but never enjoyed it as much as mk7. I’ve played the hell out of this game since 5th grade. I still play it to this day.

Mario Circuit 2 was my favorite in the SNES due to the fact that I lay banana peels or green shells on the ramp, making the CPU's have trouble going on that ramp
Before the Booster Course Pass from 8 came through to give the game 10 more years of being alive This was the second Mario Kart game I play the most, second only to DS. Growing Up I think the thing the turn me off the most from playing this one is that there wasn’t any offline Versus mode like in DS, cause I usually love to play a 32 Non Stop All Random Tracks race stuff that you couldn’t do in 7, but I still have a ton of fun with this game since the track selection is amazing and the online was also good from what I remember Hopefully Maka Wuhu can make it to the Final Wave of the DLC for MK 8
WaCkY fAcT: The reason DS Figure 8 Circuit has yet to be remade isn't because it's too boring, it's because when the developers finished reworking it for 8, they deemed it too perfect for mortal eyes, as several of its developers had gone mad after play testing it due to it's perfection. They have since sunk down the only harddrive containing its files to the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

i don’t like how tracks are named different in different regions, then people complain about the names. in my opinion, i prefer alpine pass and melody motorway over rock rock mountain and music park
Really good list, I think mario kart 7 has the best selection of tracks. IG toad circuit and Daisy hill are too high but also Justice for Kalimari Desert.
I’d be down to cover 64 and Double Dash if I ever get into those. 8 Deluxe as well maybe depending on how much work that video ends up being when the BCP wraps up. Probably not the sprite games though, they’re not really on my radar.
Look I’ll say this right now, you WILL have so much more fun with KD once you play in 8DX’s Booster Course Pass. I won’t spoil it here if you don’t know about it extensively, but it’s nonetheless, the best version of the track bar none.
I have played the Tour version, I still don’t love it in that but it’s a definite improvement, and I can only assume the 8DX version is even better since it’s not held back by Tour’s mechanics

God I have so many memories of this game and I have to thank it for getting me into gaming which introduced me to so many stuff that I cherish to this day. As for the video itself it’s good stuff, I agree with most of these rankings except for Kalamari Desert, Wario Shipyard, Rosalina’s Ice World and the Wuhu tracks. Desert and Shipyard would be higher for me while Ice World would probably be a B-Tier. The Wuhu tracks would be S-Tier, just not as high Can’t wait for the 64, Double Dash, and 8 rankings
I think the only reason why people hate this game is because Waluigi isn't in the game and the battle mode isn't that good. (I'm joking btw you can like whatever you want.)

Super fun video as always Biff. Some choices i don't agree with here and there but hey that's how it works. Though, i couldn't agree more with the number 1 placement. Maka Wuhu is by a country mile my favourite course in all of Mario Kart. Absolutely wonderful course design, visuals, and music, one of the only glitches in gaming i can consistently pull off, and one of the most genuinely beautiful and nostalgic gaming experiences i've ever had with in final glider segment... When i was little my grandparents owned a Wii with Wii Sports Resort, and every time i went round you could never get me away from it. The Swordplay and Golf minigames especially i adored (for completely opposite reasons lmao). But the one minigame i loved more than any other was Island Flyover. Just being able to explore every nook and cranny of Wuhu Island and Wedge island for several minutes was some of the most magical experiences i've had with any videogame. We had the Wii for at least 5 or so years and half of my play time on Wii Sports Resort was likely spent just flying around Wuhu Island doing nothing in particular, not even collecting all the infortmation symbols in all the areas, which of course i did anyway lol. Unfortunately our Wii eventually started packing in and one day stopped working all together, and we didn't have enough money at the time to get it fixed. So that was kind of it, no more Wii Sports Resort for me. And then i got a 3DS a few years later, Mario Kart 7 being one of the first games i got for it. Honestly even without Maka Wuhu, 7 would still be my favourite Mario Kart game, it's criminally underapreciated. The game was great but i eventually played Maka Wuhu for the first time and from the get go it was already one of my favourites, so much so i would often end up time trialing it later on just to see how often i could pull off the lake glitch. But the really special part was, of course, the glider segment. That glider segment, while great on its own, brought back so many really happy memories of playing Island Flyover when i was younger, and for those brief 10-15 seconds, especially the first time i got to it, it really felt like i was there again, flying around this hoyous peaceful island without a care in the world. For providing me a way to feel that very specific, yet very special feeling once again after i thought it a long forgotten memory, i'll treasure Maka Wuhu forever as one of the greatest stages i've ever played that'll forever be a staple of my own personal gaming history, right there alongside Pandora's Labyrinth from Kid Icarus: Uprising, Bloons Tower Defence's Park Path, Literally every level in Sonic Rush Adventure, and yes, even Island Flyover. Bottom line, thanks Maka Wuhu and Mario Kart 7, you mean much more to me than you probably should- And who knows, maybe i'll get to experience Wii Sports Resort and Island Flyover again someday, i sure hope so...
