What a weird assumption. I just want to protect myself and friends thats why i started martial arts and thats where i end it. I don't want to go to any competition or have my own dojo (altho i thought about being a dancing coach once).
this has given me the hilarious idea of becoming a UFC scouter *solely* for this reason just walk into somewhere, take notes on the people there and give them something to smile about

I once was training and one of Dana White’s people entered and talked to me about going to contender series and probably getting a UFC contract Then I woke up 😢
When i was 19 dreams of being a UFC champion was one of the reasons i started training. The more i learned over the years, the more that dream turned into a hopeless nightmare. The steroids, the crooked management, the low pay, and how much it costs to learn the skills needed.. very few fighters profit from fighting, many end up broke and broken. Even if you are the best, you might not make it in the fight 'business'.
Hit the gym, ask gym trainer if they can help, ask a gym bro as partner. Ultilize strength by compound moves+ cables machine. If you don't have a gym, adopt a 🎉🎉🐻, progressive overload wrestling it like Khalib did 😂. U welcome ❤
As you learn swimming online. You can't. You need agresson, experience and athletisism to be a good fighter. Focus on your fitness. On your first day in kick boxing or bjj it dosen't matter what you practiced on your buddy or girlfriend or dummy or how many book you have read. But people who are tough, strong fast, flexible and have high kinetic intelligence are a force you have to recognize. And they learn faster too. I have seen people regret decades of home martial art training. Never seen anybody regreting to do yoga, get good cardio, or getting stronger
This the equivalent of us playing normal then super hard in our drive way when a car would pass by and we would imagine it was an nba scout and they would be so impressed with what they saw they would come out and sign us 😂😅
Something like this has happened to me before. I was practicing free throws in school and the basketball coach asked me if I’d play, but I turned it down
As an african kid there was a man that would come and watch us play ball regularly, give us tips and critique like an undercover fifa talent scout. We would showcase our best skills and dribble. Play with all our might. He would cheer us on and congratulate us and talk about some tournament A year passed from this rigorous street matches and then finally!
