@@freeman10000… Qantas sucks “the big one”… Singapore Airlines will ALWAYS be light years ahead of them in terms of quality service in all areas. I haven’t flown with them for a while but was made to feel right at home last time I flew with them back in 2018. I’ve had pretty good service from Virgin Australia since air travel opened up again 👍😄✈️

Now I work for a bunch of coffee-drinking engineer mids.

Worked in Open Cast in South Australia in the early 1980's. Very accurate portrayal of life. Back then half of us were stacking away the $$ flat out and the other half were pissing it all up against the wall. Oh, and our mine was wet. Some of the haul truck operators were 'bottle of bundy a night' guys.... Try that today and see how you get on🤔

I did my 5yrs fifo & finished up 2015, is still pretty accurate of how it was then. Could only buy 2 drinks at a time, max of 6 cans kept in your donga fridge (checked by cleaning staff & excess confiscated). Most of those who needed an outlet were smashing the pills on Sat nights as would be out of their system come Monday & could pass a piss test. Lot of good & a lot of stir crazy bad, I'd definately reccomend it's worth having a go but it's not good for long term.

Become a sparky in a dewatering crew! All you do is wire up bore pumps to the headworks, you'll learn how soft-starters work and genset tweaking. Safer to work above ground too..
