One day me and my mate, decided to prank call a maccas, so we played this vid, but the bloke on the phone was so entertained by it, he watched for a full 2 minutes, whilst laughing at some bits, before being told to hang up by what may have been his supervisor.
I'm old enough that my school only had one computer room. When I'd first started I told a kid "there's a room full of computers!" and he goes "Cool! Do they let you go on 'em?" Man, it's not just the land of the roos! UK and NL are fucking horrendous too! I had that white spot situation in Exeter, UK 2016... I have made the mistake, on not zooming into the map... everything reasonable missed my building... I ended up from a 120Mbps->10Mbps... Rotterdam, NL: fibre... We were told in June 2023, they gonna lay the cables and install fibre in the whole building complex... they laid the cables in 2 weeks... Jan 2024 they came that they gonna install it for our flats... 1st appointment: the guy came to check the building, and connections... 2nd.: Murph came about, swearing about how bad the access and routing gonna be... 3rd: guys knocked on the door, came up, looked around and left the building... from Feb 2024-June 2024 we've never heard anything from them ever again before we moved out... Then I moved into my new place, Rotterdam, July 2024, signed up for a 1Gbps internet... 4k porn, here we go...;))))) ... it's almost October, I still don't have internet due to some technical issues in the system somewhere... and to rub salt in wound, I just got an email about upgrading the line... I don't even have proper internet...
People do get really butt hurt when you tell them you make 6 figures working an easy bullshit blue collar job. I mean, I got my truck drivers license in like 3 weeks and started at 80k and switched companies to do heavy haul after like 3 months experience and got a big pay bump. Shits easy, just put on some music or podcast or something and don't fall asleep or crash. Meanwhile my wifes looking to finish her degree and is struggling to find a bachelor's that pays more than 80k.
this is a compressed view but. I have three sons work on three building sites in Melbourne CBD On Christmas day they sit around talking and it sounds just like this episode , anyone who doesn't start work till 8:00 has been to do a drug test on a court order. that's why the super centres have early open pathology. Anything up to a half didn't finish their apprenticeships except for like before court orders. So the humour above is just like Paul Hogan laughing at the near truth
