Love this video! Great comparison on the Mizuno‘s. I’ve never seen it broken down like this.

This was a great review of the various Mizuno irons. At times it was difficult to keep track of which head was which because you were moving them around almost like a magic trick!!

Excellent tutorial on the Mizuno line up. They have all the bases covered for all the players out there. With so many options you have to hit all of them to get the correct choice. I recently switched to the Srixon ZX5 and really enjoying so far. the stronger lofts took a little bit to get used to.

The 225's worked best for me. The lofting is reasonable and they are pretty forgiving. These are also workable.

I play 921 tour lefty set the Sel. And I love them

Good stuff. I've been interested in doing a combo of JPX and MPs. This video helped me see that I need to really be careful of the different lofts. The MPs are just so damn appealing.

Played T Zoid Pro and MP64, both with traditional lofts, both with standard 10m gaps. Apart from blades, new M go thru a 1degree less loft range but with only 7 clubs not 8 (3-PW) When changing shafts Project X5.5 to Nippon 120 S. I was asked to try 921 Hot Metal Pro and having hit the 6 I compared it with my 5 (same loft) and just changed shafts. Seek feedback on 223 /225 distance gaps in 8-PW irons, as you don't trial a set only 1 club.

I pick JPX 923 Hot Metal Pro! Compact and forgiving.

The one misconception that a lot of people have is that a blade is for a low handicap player. While it maybe true in some regards, strike is more important than handicap. I was a single digit player before I had numerous injuries and illnesses. This year coming back after 6 years off I'm now a mid handicap player and working my way back. I consistently strike center of the face but it's face to path that is my nemesis right now. I have a old set of blades that i can strike very well. But leaving the face open still leaves them going right. Just be honest with yourself about your playing ability and keep an open mind in a fitting.

Got my first set of Mizunos in april (Pro223), and they are just awesome. Looks great at adress, and when hit properly they just feels amazing. Playing of approx hcp 8-10 these are just perfect for me.

I own the MizunoPro 225’s and they are the best ever in this category. Best all around iron and the looks are timeless .

Love the look of the MP225s If the next generation look and perform similarly the I’ll likely invest in a full set.

I was debating on waiting on the 923 forged over the new hot metal pro

As a senior golfer, I'm interested in perhaps a combination of the Hot Metal and Hot Metal HL. When available, I am going to go to a fitting.

Good review, however never told us what the different offsets were between models.

I'd like a manufacturer to produce a traditional loft iron with added forgiveness. I swing the club fast enough and I don't need to carry my 7 iron 190.

Great summary of these.. i currently play the 921pros .. was considering going to the new 923pros or 225's but I really don't know how much "better" that upgrade is , or if it's even worth it. Hit the 225's in a bay already and liked them but again "how much better" are they really to the 921pros i already have ? Thanks again, all this info is super helpful

Love my 225's.....I wish they were a bit more shiny like the 221's.

Just had an opportunity to test the new JPX 923’s. The JPX 923 Hot Metal Pro is my choice with a bit more distance than current Mizuno gamer (JPX 800 Pro Forged 2010 Version) due to the stronger lofts. I also found out the i should be using a 2 degree toe up lie. I had a flatter swing and have changed to swing path. Now I understand why I hit shots that are more toward the toe. I usually find that if I address the ball more toward the hosel at address that I hit the sweet spot better. AJ, is it possible to bend my JPX800 Pro Forged irons to achieve the 2 degree toe up lie angle? Great videos. I hope your new shop is meeting expectations.

One omission in the commentary perhaps? Could the presenter have linked each club to low mid and higher handicap categories (although it was clear what iron was best for the low handicap golfers)

Got some irons to hit this winter. Interested in the JPX 223 Forged, 225, 223, and Srixon's new Zx5/Zx7 mkii. Would love to combo these and have the more forgiving in the longer irons, precious in scoring.

Great video. Question: I have MP-20 MMC irons. What irons are in the next progression? Is it the Mizuno Pro 225?

Think I prefer the standard hot metal JPX 923 for my skill level and the fact that I do not want to practice to spare my lower back. I looked at the 921 recently, and that club looks good. I would also get the set wedges down to the sand and maybe lob wedge. I am looking at the 923 hot metal knowing the lofts are possibly too strong.

Does mizuno automatically use lighter heads when you order clubs that are + 1/2" in length to keep the swing weight in the recommended range or is that something you would have to specify? My clubs in the past from callaway have had very heavy swing weight like D9 just because of the added length.

Am I better off buying forged 921s or just save up for forged 923, as im not to sure if there is that much of a difference ? Im currently play titleist ap1 716

How and where do the 923 forged fit into the lineup? Specifically, more or less forgiving than the 225s?

So I have the 223s….I like ‘em but you fall off a cliff when you get to the 8 iron down. Not only does the club change to basically a blade (221) but the lofts weaken as well. You end up with a 7i that goes 180 and an 8i if not struck well that goes 145. Obviously the Indian and not the arrow - but something to keep in mind when buying a progressive set. The dispersion will almost always be more because the technology is completely different. My beef is that 90 percent of the time I’m not hitting the 7i up….almost always driver then 8i down….so stuck in blade land for the most part. Gonna keep ‘em but will probably buy an easier sets thats a bit more accommodating. 223s are basically for 221 players that want some help…..not for JPX players looking to sample that next ambitious level. Like the idea of the HL… CB irons with traditional lofts.. why put them on steroids??

I love the ping zing2 irons I love the release feel but I am told they are illegal to use anymore and I was wondering if there’s something out there newer that goes longer and higher I know the pings into has massive offset but that’s what I like it’s too bad ping didn’t make a zing2 iron that was forged
