I can vouch for the Progress RSB. It's on it's tightest "setting" and I absolutely love it. Wish they made a front set as well... Just know it's a permanent mod. You (or in my case a good shop) have to do some very minor drilling to widen the subframe mounts. Can't go back to the oem rsb (not that you'd ever want to). My shop says it's a solid mod 👌
@@RevsALot as long as a reliable shop that's familiar does the work, you can't go wrong. **also make sure it's the 22mm rsb from Progress. That one's safe to beat up👍. The old 24mm was tearing subframes👎👎.
Great video, I just bought the manual one and I noticed that the breaks seem to get real squishy when I press fairly hard on them so if you know what that could be please feel free to enlighten me. Btw you've got another subscriber 😁

Thanks for the link bro! I drove another Fwd TL like mine with no mods and it was faster, then I realized the tires were different but same rims. Forgot to check the exact size or type. Do lower profile tires add to acceleration or was it summer tires? I use all seasons. If I didn’t change my rims what tires would give the best 0-60 and roll race?
I am 16 about to turn 17 and by next summer as my first car I want a 2013 TL ima have to work my ass off but 😭 hopefully it’s all worth it I want as much HP as I can get for I can compete with my boys and this video helped a lot
Good content, the only mod I would like is removing the speed limiter of 120mph on the 2014 TL with automatic. What's funny I can't find a single car review magazine or online article stating the 12-14 Acura TL with automatic top speed is 120 mph. I always see 125 to 130 plus mph. I'm starting to wonder if these mainstream car reviews work with car manufacturers in some capacity. Alot of people say lexus is so boring. I can say you won't find a single Lexus sports sedan with 120 mph fuel cut off, even the Camry based ES 350. That being said I love my 14 TL shawd the way it drives, everything about it, but limiting it to 120 MPH was not a good thing in my opinion. I know people will say do the speed limit, shouldn't be driving that fast etc etc. That's not the point. Other than that I'm keeping mine for a very long time. Great car.
I think the problem is it auto shifts from 4th to 6th around 120mph, then you can squeeze a few more mph out of it. Sometimes you just gotta open it up for a good adrenaline rush🤙!
Damn, bigger wheels look better, but 18s not a huge difference when you have coils. That or just get lightweight 19s. I went 18s for cpl lbs. lighter and cpl hundred cheaper for tires and rims.
I was going to get a Borla muffer for my 2009 3 7 tl. From what you said awhile ago. By just changing the muffers and tips. But now you said it may not be the best, I'm not going to mod my car like yours. So I'm still good on getting the borla muffers just for sound. P.S. I went to borla site I didn't find anything for 2009 tl on mufflers ?
@RevsALot I have a 14' Black TL. Got a res delete - love the new sound. Considering swapping OEM mufflers with the Borla Pro XS's that fit the car. Would cost $200 + installation. Thoughts on how much it would impact exhaust note/sound? Anything else you would recommend exhaust-wise? Thx!

I have a '14 as well and my current setup is no res at all and the pro xs mufflers. I can say it adds a deeper note (not crazy loud)and removed the rasp from my straight pipe before
Depends what year. If you look through my videos I have a cpl races against some Accord 6-6 coupes. Accord is fwd these are awd. So that makes a big difference depends what you want.
I'd you're into the bagged looked yah, but I would think coilovers would perform better and more reliable. I could be wrong though, I didn't research much into it.
Alright I hope this isn’t a stupid question. I have a shop down the road that has an awd dino. I’m considering taking it down to have them do the exhaust. Can I have them do a “tune” without getting a ktuner? Do they just flash the ecu with a laptop and it’s good to go? So far I’ve just done a k &n drop in filter. ( plus fixing things the previous owner goofed with. )
I literally have so much trouble finding someone with a ktuner. The closest so far is 4 hours away. Lol. I bought ktuner before just to raise my rev limiter and returned it after. Couldn’t disable my speedlimiter or anything even with a catback exhaust and could air intake I couldn’t really do much tune wise
I mentioned tuning, if you know how to tune it yourself then that's great. If you don't, you think it makes sense to pay for a tune everytime you add a mod? If you wanna spend extra thousands, go ahead lol.

Have you ever had a P2647 code rocker arm oil pressure switch/circuit high voltage/VTEC system pop up? My 13 TL SH-AWD 6mt had one , oil was between the hash marks. Added about 500 ml 5w20 synthetic nd it turned off. Just kinda weird. No symptoms besides the check engine. Maybe these cars are hyper sensitive to slightly low oil especially in a cold Alberta climate
@Leo definitely true just happened to me as my oil 😅was at 15%. Code came and went after 5 miles and an oil change. Thought it t was the oil pressure solenoid.
Funny how he says "no one's out there racing their TL's" because I in fact DO race my TL. Every thinks my 0-60 is like 9 seconds and I prove them wrong. Feels nice to have the fastest car in the friend group.
Did I say that? I forget now haha, but yah stock they're not that quick. They wake up really well to mods and hurt lots of feelings🤙. Any car can be a race car with the right mods.
So plastic cover are no good,I also took off mine yesterday.I heard they were holding heat a lot in the engine bay.Can you also answer me about what the hole in front of the battery does since its exposed and might suck water in?

Brakes and suspension you can check out online. I'd recommend BC Racing and breaks depends on how kuch willing to spend. Big brake kit are best option imo Ceika is one, but they're pricey.
It's up to you, but yah I think a fbo tune 5spd AT would be just as fast maybe a little quicker then a stock 6-6. Also, not sure the 5AT is very strong to handle a lot of extra power. Best mod would be a manual swap👌.

Throttle body spacers do nothing but make the air spiral you should remove it im jealous of your cat upgrade tho man gotta hmu with link to that also the best mod is prolly octane booster lmao these poor j motors want so much more they are good for 1029hp apparently the transmissions are good for 600-800 if your lucky unfortunately nobody does it
I use octane booster, but just enough to get it from 91 to 93..I plan on reaching the 600hp mark eventually.🤞 Supercharger and nitrous should do it, then if that's not enough I'll go turbo.

@@RevsALotHAHA not even man! These cars need 93+ and 100 Octane is just fine if you can afford it. Its horrible that we cant get more than 91 without mixing. additives are ass overtime too its not ideal. With my cat-back straightpipe the ECU has absolutely no problem with adjusting to it. Not to mention one time I was outta gas at my homies ranch stranded ontop of a mountian so we put a horrible old gallon of 85 octane for the lawnmower in-er and then I really regretted doing that so we put approx 3 gallons of 110 octane dirtbike racing fuel in there to "even it out" BTW this idea totally wasnt influenced by beer ;) well I got amazing gas mileage and the car burbled and popped all the way down the mountian sounded like it had a 20 litre v-12 from a tank or someshit
Haha well I might try some royal purple, but I wouldn't wanna go over 95. I'm hard enough on it, and with the supercharger I'll be blowing it up in no time anyways.
