Every Season 7 Death Battle Episode Ranked 

The Vader Genjitsu is one of the most gut-wrenching scenes in all of DB to me as the way I viewed the episode was that it's composite Obi-Wan meaning Anakin already fell and the Genjitsu is ripping open the wound. Considering just how much that failure hurt Obi-Wan in canon it makes that scene hit so much harder.

Machamp vs Goro being in the top 2 is based as hell. I love the episode so much, it’s my third favorite episode ever and I’m glad to see it being that high.

This season is a sad case of qauntity over qaulity with many episodes feeling rushed or like filler, glad season 8 was a bounce back Wish biff could like my comment😭

The Darth Vader genjutsu is not only the best scene in Death Battle imo, but it’s also the only one that allows me to forget this is just a web series. The thing is shot like an actual movie, it’s phenomenal.

Venom vs Crona is one of those episodes that I can't hate. It's the epitome of mid and has a lot of missed potential with Crona's abilities from the latter half of the manga. And yet, I get so much joy from seeing one of my favorite characters in fiction fight on the show. Here's to hoping for Crona Vs Shiro down the line!

Making Genos VS War Machine of all things be the hand-drawn Death Battle this season when Danny Phantom VS Jake Long has not only been highly requested since at least Season 2, but is also between 2 cartoon stars, is one of Death Battle's most baffling creative decisions. Absolutely love these season rundowns btw!

20. All I remember is that when I looked up the VAs on Twitter, I found out I was blocked by Batgirl's VA for some reason. *Shrugs* 19. You can tell Mark was having fun voicing Lee considering the skits on RDCworld1. That's the best thing I can say about this episode. 18. It's cool that we had the official creator going all in with support for an episode. The problem was that creator was Butch Hartman. 17. This is one of the most mixed episodes for me. I remember loving it at first, then as time went on, it was pretty ass in hindsight, though the track is still a banger. I've mentioned how much I do not like Akame ga Kill before and my opinion on Esdeath is also mixed (she's such a generic and boring villain, but that works for AgK's narrative). Yet despite that, I end up coming back to this one every now and then. It might be because the debate was really close and the discussions on who wins were really fun for these weeks. 16. *Guy sleeping image* 15. Fight looks pretty. That's... kind of it, really. 14. Dante Basco coming back for Zuko was the best thing. That's the best thing, but aside from that, I don't want to watch this again. 13. I really wanted this one to be good. But it really wasn't. It taking off to the air just made things look worse. 12. Honestly, this one I really like. It's fun to watch imo, and the matchup is more unique instead of the more generic matches for Genos. I know a lot of people wanted him to fight Cyborg, but I just think a matchup is overall more interesting when the characters aren't 1 to 1 identical, but have enough similarities to make sense. 11. I don't watch Red vs Blue so I can't say anything, unfortunately. Aside from being annoyed that people were complaining about the new Caboose voice and wanted his controversial VA back. 10. I could slap a steak across someone's face and get the same sound effects of this episode. 9. Similar issue as the last one, but at least this one was really fun to watch. 8. This one was fine. I don't go back to it much though. 7. As insane as this one was, I felt like they could've done more, ngl. 6. "Oh hey! I can do that too!" It's a fun one, but I don't come back to it too often. 5. I'm inherently biased towards this one because I love Power Rangers. But at the same time, I love the retro video game feel the fight has, and how much it feels like a real crossover game from years back. 4. This one is a huge improvement of the last live-action fight. Has a really good dynamic and the storytelling is great. Absolute shout out to how Bucky's arm isn't a costume prop and is just a greenscreened arm with CGI, and it looks phenomenal. The ending is lame though. 3. Toei sucks ass. But the fight is really good. 2. No one expected this episode to be as awesome as it was, and it was GLORIOUS. 1. I love this one so much, man. They really gave it for all for both characters and it shows. It was one of my favorite ideas for a long time, and they gave it justice. The Genjutsu scene is fucking incredible, and one of the best scenes of the show.

I am so glad that these were made, they have supplied me with a constant supply of joy. These videos have been amazing, even if I disagreed with some of the takes in them (Sasuke vs Hiei). Here's to a happy 2023 and a new season of Death Battle!

I’ve recently started loving Obi-Wan vs Kakashi a lot, and after thinking it was more of a forgotten gem in the show’s history, I was really glad to see it take the top spot in this ranking. All I will say is we did 20 episodes of death battle, a bonus episode, 10 episodes of dbx with 10 alternate endings and also the pandemic happened that same year. 52 weeks in a year and more than half of it there was something death battle related released.

For what's possibly one of the seasons I hate the most, you managed to give me a more solid view of it and maybe think that it wasn't _that_ bad. Honestly I feel like the season suffered a lot from time restrains due to a very much so ambitious idea that backfired, because if it weren't for those issues, the season could've easily been a lot better than from what we got. Kinda sad really, since the season left good expectatives after Season 6 but it wasn't able to compete, with many episodes getting cucked by time as I mentioned earlier. Probably my biggest dissapointment was Zuko vs Shoto as the certified Zuko pfp guy in the community, but it's safe to say that it wasn't the only who suffered that fate. With that being said, man good job in pulling out all these videos too. They were all very entertaining and you did a great job with them, all that work paid off. Cheers to a better and a happy new 2023 man.

Machamp featuring Goro is a contender for my favorite episode in the series, so it being at Number 2 made me very happy. Also, Happy New Year to the most goated Range Rover.

No matter the general consensus of the season, I'll always look back on it fondly for helping me get through quarantine. But it is pretty evident that COVID had an effect on the production which reflected in the overall quality of the season

Congrats on finally getting all these done, it was really fun watching through all of these. Pretty surprised at Leo vs Jason getting that high considering, though it's nice to see it get a spotlight considering it's not discussed as much. Also nice timing with the video release date lol.

36:12 The reason why the in house team got this match was because they also worked on RvB Zero so it made sense that they would animate this especially since it was basically added as an ad and that season was the first to not have the Reds and Blues as protags.

Funnily enough with the Sanji episode, the episode is already aged out because Sanji LOSES the Raid Suit the same arc he gets it, in return gaining buffs to his scientific biological abilities giving him invisibility, an exoskeleton, stronger flames, so on, which really shows that if do a One Piece episode now they really shouldn't use a main character as they keep getting extreme buffs as the endgame is starting to pick up. Should go with Kaido or Whitebeard who we've seen their maximum output for in the story so having them in an episode wouldn't get quickly outdated by new feats. Hell Zoro vs Erza got new feats for both characters which changed the winner twice a couple months after the episode dropped so lol.

Man, it's sad to see Danny vs Jake received so negatively in the community, even though everything you said about it being bad is completely true. I still really love it because Danny Phantom was my childhood hero and seeing him make such an impression on the battle makes me ignore a lot of it's flaws from the episode even though they are blatantly there. Personally, I love Venom Vs Crona as it has one of my most favorite characters in it, that being Crona Gorgon. I get people don’t like that it was a stomp in Crona’s favor due to the whole soundwaves thing, but… I don’t care, tbh. I still love this episode and is a personal favorite of mine. Also kinda helps it’s the 3rd episode of Death Battle I’ve ever seen, so it helped me get into the show.

I remember being super excited when Goro VS Machamp was revealed for this season as it was one of my dream match ups and the episode was everything I had hoped for. Its too bad my other dream match ups didn't live up to their potential which were Danny Phantom VS Jake Long and Steven Universe VS Star Butterfly.

All in all season 7 was solid but suffered due to the pandemic and time constraints but thankfully season 8 and 9 brought back of what made death battle so enjoyable entertaining.

...You know, I was _not_ expecting to hear a BFDI reference on the transition for Genos VS War Machine.

The thing about Venom vs Crona that disappointed me the most (aside from also coming out when king in black was literally around the corner at the time) is that they made Venom the same Carnage knockoff he was last time again instead of portraying him in any way differently, especially when the analysis in this episode made more effort to highlight Venom’s heroic side than his last one did, shit the Venom movie also came out by that time and they don’t even reference that either. They could’ve had a fun dynamic with Eddie and the Symbiote bantering like Crona and Ragnarok did, and they do NOTHING with it. (Oh and also they said in a cast Venom’s performance was supposed to be based off him in the 90’s cartoon for some reason and uhhh….as someone who was literally introduced to the character from that show, I can tell you this was not how he acted even in that…at all.)

That #15 transition is my favorite review transition now. A joke that doesn't get much attention that also manages to be intrinsic to one of the episode's biggest flaws, brilliant. I've said my piece on Red vs Blue before. My hour long video praising it should be quite clear, lol. And I still think Hulk vs Broly, Obi vs Kakashi, Beerus vs Galaxia, and Goro ft Machamp are some of the greatest episodes ever. I keep forgetting how bad Gray vs Esdeath and Sanji vs Rock Lee are in hindsight, but I think I still have a bit of tolerance for Danny vs Jake. Where would the Seven Royale have ranked btw?

I'll give Zukoroki this. It is the reason I definitely decided to check out MHA and now it is my favorite series of all time. Also the choreography in general would've been uninteresting back then because Todoroki mostly spammed ranged attacks which wouldn't have blended well with Zuko's H2H. But now Todoroki can actually throw hands in the manga. Makes me wish they did the episode nowadays than back then. I'm still of the opinion it has the top 5 climaxes of the season and that's just sad

I think every Death Battle fan has an episode that they consider a guilty pleasure and I think Venom VS. Crona is that for me. It is possible that my love for both characters is blinding my view here but seeing the show cover one of my favourite franchises tickles my brain funny. I didn't find anything about the fight awful, I mostly liked it in fact (death could've been better though), and music's nice too, however I understand why someone wouldn't like it. Your issues with the episodes are very valid. I might go into it more indepth with it one day, in a video possibly, idk I'm just happy I didn't get an Aang VS. Edward situation. I got a Sainsbury's Meal Deal in the form of an episode I will sleep ok. Also Smiling Friends reference based.

what I don't like about obi wan vs kakashi and why I prefer goro vs machamp more is with how they portray obi wan. In basically all of his duels, obi wan is always taking the back foot on purpose due to his exclusive use of form 3. The most obvious showing of this is in his fight with anakin, where the only attack obi wan actually throws that isn't a block or a parry is when he strikes down anakin. In the death battle, obi wan is jumping around actively pursuing kakashi and even falls into his traps sometimes. This kind of acrobatic and aggressive lightsaber combat is something closer to what Yoda would do, but is far removed from anything obi wan has been shown to do in his home series.

If death battle would get my comment constantly about Inspector Gadget versus Frankie we would have a really good death battle for One Piece heck I already have the opening joke Gadget see Frankie's wanted poster believes he's a mad agent and goes throughout the entire battles saying" you're under arrest mad agent"

Wally West vs Archie Sonic is still my favorite episode of the show but I will agree it really should’ve been a finale with how batshit crazy they are. Also while the conclusion isn’t terrible and they mostly get their points across very well so I don’t disagree with the outcome, I do think some parts of it could have been worded better and they still should’ve put in an extra thing or two to seal the deal a little better (such as comparing the scope of the speed force and chaos force like how Trunks vs Silver did with the Chaos force and Xenoverse/Heroes abilities respectively, that is kind of crucial enough to Wally and Sonic to warrant a full explanation and not a black tab).

I used to hate Leo vs Jason, not because the episode was bad, but because a MU I couldn't give a shit about came put on my birthday. Suffice to say I now love it not because it's great but because it came out on my birthday

I think I know why they brought back Venom over Carnage. Eddie and the Venom Symbiote are (nearly) always portrayed as two different individuals (minus Raimi Trilogy and Ultimate Marvel where the black suit is a bio weapon instead of a sentient creature), whereas Cletus and The Carnage Symbiote have sort of….merged together. Or Cletus’ insane mind overpowered the newborn mind of the Symbiote, it’s hard to tell. Venom always says “We are Venom”, but with Carnage it’s always “I am Carnage”. Hence why they’d chose him when picking an opponent for Crona, who’s “weapon” is both sentient and fused/bonded with them Can you tell which characters are my favourite Spider-Man villains? 😅

It confused how they downplayed venom quite a bit despite him having ftl scaling due to scaling to spider man who has light dodging calcs putting him at over 600 times faster than light and venom had a statement of spider man moving in slow motion to him which would put him close to mftl
