Hey everyone! Thanks for watching! You can read my text review here: www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps4/everybodys_golf Any questions, let me know! - Sammy
Is it possible for me to host an open course world and have friends and randoms join? Or can i join an open course world and have a friend join when im already there? or is it just random servers that we have to hope to join the same one? same goes for turf war, can I be on the same team as my friends? Thanks!
I have NEVER been a fan of golf. But there has always been something special in how HSG makes it fun and inviting. Have loved this series for over a decade now and loving Everybody’s Golf now. Everyone should try this game.
Is this the same company? Is it as good? I've been a Hotshots fan since PS2, PSP, PS3 so I will most likely pick this up, though the graphics on the players look a little weird compared to Hotshots.
For many playing solo is nothing to do with being introverted. The opposite is true. I work in a busy environment, have my family, spend lots of time playing with my kids, I socialise at weekends, play cricket in the summer and rugby in the winter. I turn on my PC or console to get some peace from that. If I want to play golf with others I'll pick up my clubs and go to one of my local courses and do just that.. My gaming time is my time away from people, I love it and it is fleeting and precious. Why would I play any game or sport... Online or offline... With strangers?
Paul Rone-Clarke well said mate, I play games to escape the real world for awhile so don't want to play with grown men acting like children screaming abuse etc that we see regularly in every game! Every game has multiplayer these days and some games don't need it! This one could be cool with the right friends though
I totally agree, I actually found the comment that people not interested in online multiplayer are introverted very offensive. I play games so that I can relax and not have to worry about anyone else, what they think etc. Just like you I am certainly not an introvert.
@@ashio8236 Too true. I go in phases. I have days, sometimes weeks where I don;t want to see anyone. Then, like something builds up - I need social contact. That need is real, visceral - very strong. It consumes my thoughts "I've got to get out. I have to see and speak to people" Then I do for a day or two, and then I want to be alone again. Don't know what that's called, but I bet it's quite common.
Got this game today and I'm new to the Hotshots/Everybody's Golf series but I must say it's the most fun and entertaining golf game I've played and I've easily sink-in 10hrs+ on this game since I got it. It's definitely one of those games that deserves much more attention.
Damn. I'm using the PRO with a 4k tv, HDR enabled and I think this game looks amazing. Not so much the characters, the environments are what truly stuns me. I haven't seen any frame flickers or odd edges.
rick church did u already download the game ? i am hyped about this one .. but i intend on playing multiplayer .. i hope its easy to find players to play with
I honestly only ever owned the original Hot Shots Golf (name in USA) on the PS1. Decided nearly 20 years later that I'd like to revisit the experience on PS4. I'm amazed at how approachable the game is with the original feel intact but with so much more to offer. As highlighted, I enjoy all the courses visible at once and creating a custom avatar for playing. Haven't gotten to online mode but will try it out as I get a better feel for the courses. I can often get eagles on some holes (even without backspin) where some other ones I struggle for par consistently. I also tend to spend a lot of time calculating estimates for wind/terrain/elevation often for 30 seconds per shot. It can be hard deciding whether aiming downhill has a greater influence than a headwind for increasing/decreasing power. Overall, I've really enjoyed this game and it makes for a great couch game if you have friends into virtual golf. (Fighting Golf was a favorite of me/my friends on the NES way back in the day).
Been a fan of these games since the day my dad bought me Hot Shots Golf for Playstation 1. I love the Charm and simplicity to these games. Last time I tried Tiger Woods Golf it me an hour to figure out that dumb swing bar. Hot Shot's forever.
Yup, just picked it up as a long time fan of the series. It's $15 right now on PSN because of the holiday sale, and it supports couch co-op with only 1 controller and 1 PSN account required. Sure, the online isn't great, but I'm never going to play that mode anyway.
Really really enjoying it so far Sammy . Local Multiplayer mode against the wife is absolutely brilliant, especially with the crazy random slots enabled. Still only got the one course available but it just makes me want to play it more. Strong 9/10 for me. Also don't forget it's not a full price game which should be applauded.
This game, Everybody's Golf, got a permanent place on my PlayStation 4 hard drive! I really do love this game that much. I am a long time Everybody's Golf fan since PlayStation 1 era, hell I even play and love Mario's Golf of which is the predecessor of the franchise.
It would be really cool if they could add PGA/LPGA players and real courses to their next game. Maybe even add a course builder where you can make and/or download courses.
This is going to be my first experience, just ordered the game an hour ago because I saw the trailer on the official Playstation RU-vid channel. It looks vibrant, casual and cute. Something to escape to. I love the clouds, the blue sky, the green grass, but also the playful characters, the emotes and stuff... This reminds me of some MMO (Guild Wars *cough*), where you can be a loner... among people. And I think it's a cool idea. Thanks for this review!!
Wow! Awesome opinion! I have been a fan of this series since PlayStation 1! I don't get into multiplayer games but your video makes me want to go around and collect some coinage and possibly go fishing! I agree with you on every aspect of the game! I did buy a course already from the PS store, it's a course featured in Hot Shots Golf 2. I hope they keep expanding this series with more content! As for now I am loving it!
I dont own ps plus so sadly i cant play online, luckily this one has as even more singleplayer content than other everybodys golf games, so totally worth it :)
Bro i haaaaate that theres no retry match button. You just have to start the whole ass game all over again and go through all the talking and menus just because of a bad start.
Quick question...i keep seeing parasailing on the games blurb via retailers...is this the case? Via GAME : Release Date: 30/08/2017 Key Features: - Fully customizable characters - Dynamic living, breathing worlds - daily quests and challenges - Full open world - Wide range of activities other than golf - Karting, fishing, parasailing Show less REPLY
Where's "Easy Shot" gone? This was one of the best features to have a chance of staking a claim on it being for "Everybody". It's the least accessible version yet.
Never played Everybody's Golf before, though I have played its American counterpart, Hot Shots Golf. Always loved the simple nature of the game, and the way it is colorful and light-hearted. But as I understand, on PS4, you cannot play local multiplayer using multiple accounts, which to me, says I probably wouldn't bother with it. I don't much care for the online aspect of it, though, so we will see.
looks fun... I'll definitely be picking this up. Not concerned with the presentation, I have my PC if I want good graphics. I don't mind slumming it for a fun game like this.
nice game but one thing that is a bit annoying in the single mode is the players in the tournament mode, they kept walking in front of you on the green. Isn't it distracting and out of place? is there a setting to disable that?
I'm enjoying this game quite a lot. Even moreso than most of the rest of the series. (my favorites were the ones on psp, but I've been playing since the original entries on ps1
strange that they dropped the hot shots name i think it sounds much better than “everybodys golf” not to mention i just now not even 10 minutes ago discovered that this is the continuation of that franchise. Guess I’ve been out of the loop. But whatever. Still love it idk why im not a big golf person but as a video game its hella fun. For some reason the animation and cartoonishly designed characters and surroundings make it so much more approachable than golf games that go for realistic visuals.
Great review! I just wanted to ask a question. In the free roam courses there's button hints in the bottom left and also an ugly bar going across the top of the screen. I want to know are there any options to remove them? Like HUD options?
I just got this game for less than $10 and I'm playing it on PS5. I too enjoyed Hot Shots Golf from PSP days. I did not know you could free roam on the courses. How do we do that?
I loved the Hot Shots series...especially the PSP one. Seems similar to golf Clash on the IOS as far as the fairness. However, this seems to be ore of a Fun grind as apposed to a money grab.
GREAT video. Thank you. Is there an option (when playing against someone online) that you can set the game to NOT play the holes simultaneously ? I like it better when me and other players can watch each others shots. I hope this makes sense
So I take it you did in fact have to pre order to receive the bonus items and the 20th anniversary course? I forgot to but I read somewhere that it was included in the day one patch but I don't see it
Big fan of this game. Would prefer a more realistic mode in which the player isn’t running up to the ball after every shot. But I always thought this series is way better than the EA golf series.
@@debrafoster1785 yes it is lol it's literally the same exact game... Im not sure why but Hot Shots golf was always named Everybody's Golf over seas! They kept it the same worldwide for this one
Please tell me you can Actually play on 60fps on Normal PS4 even with reduced graphics cuz ain't nobody gonna do a Perfect impact consistently at 30 FPS..
I read it in eurogamer online site in the review. I myself was worried about it as tracking a 60fps bar is easier than a 30fps one. Happily it is something they already though off!
Even on PS4 Pro, the 60fps is pretty unstabile. On the first course it's ok, but on latter courses (like Alpina), it gets pretty jerky and unstabile at 60fps. I can't imagine 60fps is better on a base PS4 :(
I picked it up. It's currently the #1 golf game on the market in my opinion. Nothing else even comes close. Even the hardcore sim golf games suck ass compared to this game. This game is easy to learn, but VERY difficult to master. Practice WILL be required if you want to become one of the best, just like in real golf.
I just think it's bullshit to have to travel manually ans almost force you to buy those carts... I am a huge fan of hot shot golf. I'm still on the fence of buying it even on discount this week...
I'm going to be that guy... I'm so sorry in advance... but you don't want to "increase" your score in golf, you want to decrease it. Also, you said you get points for "par and above" you should say "par and below." It's like a race, you want a lower time, not a higher one.
Why the more realistic characters? I prefer the smaller, more cartoony, unrealistic characters. Sidenote: why doesn't Sony include Sony characters in these kind of games as unlockables
Cotton Eye Joe Although it's a golf game can't really compare the two this is an arcade golf game where as The golf club 2 is more of a sim . So really you need to work out what you prefer I have both because they give me a different experience
Thanks for the review I use to play a lot of EA PGA Golf but unfortunately it went down hill. I'm really enjoying this title .I use to play a lot of this back in the day. Finally a Golf game were I can sit back and have fun even with the family
Anybody else have frame rate lag when you're taking a shot. It makes the power meter a bit blurry and skip around a bit. It seems to happen randomly and can be quite annoying to deal with.
I watched a 30 sec Destiny 2 advert to watch the video, watched 46 seconds of the video and then had to watch the same 30 sec Destiny 2 advert. Seriously, fuck that game
I absolutely love this game and I've been playing it non stop but they need to add some kind of online ranking system or rewards for winning or playing online
lol im a huge fan of these games lol then goes on about MP for the whole time a thing that is and never has been liked in these games since the days of ps1 .
