For some reason, my comment was removed. So anyways, the person who found the taido kick oki is portamento, his video is named Reina Taido kicks oki and was published three month ago on youtube. You guys should give him a thumb up, he doesn't have much view .
Went to check if your comment got held for review, and saw a bunch of other comments that got unnecessarily blocked by YT. lol Thanks for reminding me where the oki was from
you got alot of time on your hands if you go back randomly to check if your comment still there and proceed to comment the same thing again but im not gonna judge lol
WS3+4 is such an underrated move! i use it pretty much whenever i can and it creates these unique/niche scenarios that really allow for some skill expression. one thing to add, you can also get a ff2,3 (heat engager) after that move but you have to be very quick. the slightest delay will get it blocked. also: df3+4 can lead to all the all the scenarios you mentioned in the last section of the video. the difference is that she actually recovers slightly closer to the ground! allowing for better evasion and more time to visually confirm if they whiffed and such.
Hey Applay, I know you're active on multiple social media sites and are becoming fairly well known in the community. Think you could use your influence to help voice how we're unhappy with the removal of the high crush on her Manji-Geri? Also, nice choice of music!
I tried recording a video giving my thoughts on that change, but felt like it wasn't much fun doing it, so I gave up. If I can find a way to make such topic entertaining/informative I might do it.
no. evasion is not the point of her fighting style. the point of her fighting style is stance based aggression paired with subdued mishima gameplay. yes she has some panic moves but xiaoyu-level mid crushing opponents from range 3 on a forward approaching move was way too much. it barely lines up with her design at all
There's a lot of use at the end of combos by spiking off the wall into a WS4,4. If the opponent is just holding back, both hits will connect, and you can follow up with WRA+2 if they keep holding back or WRA+3+4 if they stay grounded/tech roll. Leads to some bonkers damage.
My favorite way to use 3+4 is to mix up on people whether i go for the counter or for her fc3 since that move retains its high crush that fc4 lost. I find the delay is enough to catch people who try to jab after blocking the 3+4.
I probably use 3+4 too much. I love using to crush a low if I call one out at range, or at least attempting to do that. That SEN 4 oki is definitely something I'm going to incorporate. Unrelated, but it's funny that I found this channel because Kazumi was my woman in Tekken 7, and now it happens focus on my Tekken 8 main.
@@justApplay hey bro. Thank you so much for all your work I'm sharing your channel, I'm currently looking for new Steve and Paul stuff, since their popularity now it's rising
Bro you actually have to play out your mind to do well with Reina especially after heavy nerfs. She's not Bryan level difficult, but compare her to the likes of Jin and alot of other top picks she's definitely not an easy character (to learn at the very least)
