I read some character bio’s and I finally figured out how Soap got his nickname. It’s because in training he cleared the course where you sweep through a house for hostiles in record time, people he was training with started calling him “Soap” for how quickly and effectively he “Cleaned house”.

17:30 if you have subtitles on, the Blue indicating "friendly" on Grave's changes to red like the enemies. Cool detail. Also happens with Shepard later.

What I find so impressive about this game is the quality of the facial animations in the cutscenes. Makes it feels so unique!

Couple things I thought to bring up 1: the "casual racism" ain't really racism, the police see cartel with body armor and military guns and they see Mexican special forces, it's hard to tell apart since both look like a threat 2: I thought you'd win Rodolfo calling out plans before they got burned in the house 3: am I the only one who thought of the Raul from New Vegas when Alejandro said "Vaqueros"? 4: little attention to detail if you have subtitles on when Graves said "general Shepard gives his regards" his name turns red

Fun fact: on alone you can find an andrenaline stick near the shotgun trap that puts soap back at 100 percent for the rest of the mission

Bought this game for the campaign and definitely didn’t regret it. The sniping mission and the fact that the final mission was set in my home city were my favorite parts

You know throughout the game I think they did a good job of making Graves seem like he does care about 141. Not that you wouldn’t be suspicious of him being from Shadow company but it’s still a nice change of pace.

21:34 i know this is a dumb thing for me to point out but, i love the fact that you can actually hear the clicks that the car is doing in this moment, indicating that she's uses the turn signals for the turn like, yea they could've just used a normal car sound while she talked, but i love how they actually included this little detail that most people wont even notice untill you pay more attention

Really hoping Roach shows up. Maybe they could make him someone that’s known not just Ghost but the man beneath the mask ‘Simon’ the longest and he’s the only person that Ghost fully trusts. This idea is mainly from what I’ve read about the original MW2 Ghost and Roach. From things I’ve read over the years, I learned that they were the best of buds that went through everything together, I think I even read somewhere that Roach used to have a really bad drinking habit to where he became heavily addicted to alcohol and when they were both on leave Ghost took it upon himself to help his best mate kick the habit. I’m uncertain if this is canon or not, but I like to believe so. Another thing I’ve read is Gary Sanderson aka Roach got his nickname because he was put in several bad situations that he had absolutely no business surviving on so many occasions that his team started calling him ‘Roach’ because the hard bastard just couldn’t die.

i love how they made Alejandro into such a classic character and i hope they do more with the characters they’ve introduced in the 2 new modern warfare games

I really liked Valeria, she has some serious sass. The actor nailed the performance. Also, in the survival mission there is a bunch of stuff to find, for instance at 19:25 if you don't just jump off the balcony there is a safe with a suppressed Deagle if you can figure out the code, and plenty of supplies if you utilize the crafting mechanic. Really enjoyed that exploration can make your life easier. Edit: Really liked the gameplay on this one. The story wasn't great but the variety in the missions and gameplay, one of the best COD campaigns in my books.

One thing I love about MWII's campaign is the way certain bits kind of function as diegetic tutorials for other parts of the game. The convoy mission showcases the vehicle mechanics in Warzone, and "Alone" is basically just a twenty minute tutorial for DMZ mode, but they're done in a way where you don't even realize that's what happening, but still get all the knowledge that a tutorial should provide. It's really well done.

The Alone mission really did it for me because when you listen to the Shadows during the Alone mission you learn that most of them are only going along with it out of loyalty to Graves/Graves signing their paychecks, and not because they actually wanna betray 141 and Los Vaqueros. And the Hindsight mission actually made me feel for Graves a little because he was begging Shepherd to save his men and Shepherd sacrificed them for absolutely nothing- :(

One of my favorite references to the original MW trilogy is at the end when the missile is en route to DC and Laswell says "Shepherd has been evacuated" and Price screams out "WELL 30,000 HAVEN'T!"

A detail you missed is during the whole Shepard Betrayal part is if you have Subtitles on, Graves name changes from the friendly blue color to enemy red colors! Same thing happens later, when Price speaks with Shepard and his name is Yellow which makes it show that its uncertain if he's friend or foe, before it turns to red. Really great detail to always see!

Something I thought about while playing the Alone mission was Reznov’s words in the Vendetta mission in World at War. Specifically “for days, I have crept through shadows like a rat” and “now the game is cat and mouse”. Just something about that mission that I enjoyed

this is almost 23 minutes of progressively more intense cute aggression for the blood hardened veterans we all know and love and i am frankly HERE for it "aw hes PRETTY"

That mission where you are building stuff after Graves betrayed you, you can find a bunch of stuff that you would not be able to get without exploring there is also an adrenaline stim you can find if you have a pry tool. Graves was my favorite side character in this game before he betrayed the squad

6:30 I mean, TBF, both the Mexican SF and Cartel were wearing tactical gear over casual getups, so it would understandably be kind of hard to differentiate the two.

As someone who's decided to put myself through this game in realism, this game isn't the hardest CoD but definitely the scariest. "Alone" was wildy scarier in realism and much more difficult but the hardest campaign still goes to WaW.

I would love to see how Gamingwins would defend the abomination that is "Modern Warfare III (2023)". It is just a blot on the storyline of the "Modern Warfare" Franchise.

Dude I couldn’t imagine going through the whole “Alone” mission without getting the adrenaline stim. Respect my man. Also that mission surprisingly isn’t too hard on veteran, as long as you get the stim lol

Ghost taking care of Soap rather than the other way around is actually cute when you think about it

The new Shepard is modelled off glenn morshower (who frequently plays military generals in tv and film ) but he was also in the original MW2 as the voice of overlord. So add that as another win.

You also forgot Soaps and Ghost funny dialogue, when Soap asked why Ghost uses a mask. Soap "Are you ugly" Ghost "Quite the opposite" Soap "I doubt that"

one thing that i love is when graves say sheperd already knows about it all his name on subtitles changes from blue (friendly) to red (evil/bad). Honestly the attention to detail in this game is insane

This campaign was my favorite COD story since Black Ops 2. I can't remember the last time I was dying to finish a story in that wasn't some 100+ hour RPG, but I felt like my skin was on fire everyday at work, waiting to get home and see what other twists or action moments I'd get to see. Infinity Ward knocked it out of the park with this one and I am beyond excited for MW3.

I love how this channel is the positives instead of negatives It does make me wonder why Alex wasn’t in this game, kinda annoyed me, I really hope my boy Yuri is in MW3, probably my favorite character in modern warfare series

There's a detail with the AC130. If you shoot an enemy's comrades near him, they will be wondering where tf the gunfire came from.

Give a whole 10 extra wins for the STELLAR facial animations throughout this game. Because they poured so much energy into it, we got tons of tiny details, my favorite being during Soap's interrogation. Valeria accepts all of the final answers, however, if you choose to tell her that Graves wants El Sin Nombre, this is the only option where she smirks VERY subtly, hinting at the fact that she IS El Sin Nombre.

Something i like especially about these games from the OG series is the Mentor and Mentee theme within them. Alex was a hard bastard with no one to give him a choice, Farrah gave him the chance to choose for himself and he chose his friend over his duty. Even in the WZ1 story, he chose his friends over anything else. In MWI, Gaz was an agent wanting to end the conflict and Price showed him that getting there isn't pretty. In MWII it's come to the point that Gaz is learning how to be like Price, and it shows. Then there's Ghost and Soap who at the beginning Soap is more carefree and green and ready to do the morally right thing while Ghost is an even harder bastard than Alex who is "by the books lone wolf," but they both mentor each other to the point that Soap learns to survive alone by his wit and Ghost learns the importance of a Team. It's almost beautiful how they took characters who were known simply as Badass Soldiers trained for everything and made them more human through this one change to grow off of each other.

6:20 That's not racism, there is two fighting age men with makeshift military gear with no discernable markers for identification in the middle of the night where the cartel is known to work at the southern border. You should have given them a win for not shooting on sight.

19:06 this is unintentionally my favorite moment of the game. Just the way soap say “it’s raining fucking hard” just make me laugh all the time. He’s like a British person when you ask them to do an American accent

MW2 2022 is probably the most enjoyable cod I’ve played in awhile. I love the newer modern warfare campaigns due to their realism and thus game added so much character to the cast. I love it

The great thing about the reboot is that they don’t just kill off characters for the sake of drama, they can actually have a damn character growth now. Going from Captain McTavish and Sgt Ghost to Sgt Soap and Lt Ghost is such a good decision for interactions.

Graves is voiced by Warren Kole who ALSO voiced Rafe Adler from Uncharted 4! He has a forte in playing antagonists and I love him!

I worked on the QA for this game. I'm super proud to have been a part of it. Sorry about any bugs you come across y'all. I'll tell you that the game used to be much worse at the start and is much more stable and better to play.

My favorite things abt this campaign: In Recon by Fire, if you kill all of the enemies in the begin, you can unlock new dialouges and get to know how Price and Laswell met. In Violence and Timing, you can drive civilian vans and cars as well as the AQ vehicles. Driving the 5 types gets you sn achievement called Test Drive in the PS4(idk about other consoles). In El Sin Nombre, Valeria's postition changes if you do the mission a variety of ways. For example, if you are stealthy, she sits in her chair relaxed. If you alert everyone and kill Diego, she will be walking around tensed while one of the guards yell for them to leave. In Dark Water, you can pass the mission without touching the deck(only jumping oh the shipping containers). Felt like the Floor is Lava. In Alone, if you go straight to the first room where you get the metal and rope without checking if the other door is unlocked, Ghost mentions that they aren't friends(he says its not in the rulebook) and just teammates. Also, in Alone, you can hear some banter between Shadows. When you first learn about bottles, two Shadows talk about fighting 141. In the tunnel, they argue about whether Soap is Irish or Scottish. In Alone, right at the beginning you can kind of hear the worry in Ghosts voice when Soap does not answer. When he does, you can also hear his relief. Lastly, in Countdown, before you rappel if you hit Price with a flashbang, he will yell "How'd a muppet like you pass selection?" Which is like a callback to COD 4.

Soap’s call sign to my knowledge is not explained in the OG games but is in the reboots so here you go: When Soap was finally able to enlist he got evaluated by John Price, who became harder and stricter on him in order to make him the best trainee. Soap became a sniper and demolitions expert as well. His remarkable speed and accuracy in room clearance and urban warfare earned him the call sign of Soap.

Over all plot wasn't the most groundbreaking, but holy shit the character interactions and gameplay were so freaking good. The game had me hooked the whole way

Honestly in my opinion this was my favorite campaign in the last 10 years I had such a good time and adored the Alone mission.

The vaulting at 19:43 is more impressive when you consider that he's also in full kit and soaking wet. That would NOT be lightweight at all.

Graves is an amazing character he is charismatic and is a true leader as you can hear the desperation in his voice when the shadow company convoy gets ambushed and he gave shadow company character and it shows they weren’t just mindless mercs and him and shadow company doesn’t deserve the hate just because of the betrayal (that 141 caused fight me) it goes to show they are such a good villain also wished they were the good guys for at least 1 full game this also helps shepherds character as they go hand in hand and how shepherd wasn’t a evil character and was trying to do the right thing he just went about in the wrong way and this duo between shadow company and shepherd is one of the best if not the best duo in the COD franchise and I hope we see a lot more of them in MW3 and one final thing about graves is that his boss battle was lacklustre so I really hope they just say he wasn’t in the tank and bring him back in MW3 as he was my favourite character in the game and is one of the best in the franchise

Honestly, even if Alone is hard on realism, doing it with the gunless is rewarding as hell. Took almost an hour but felt great :)

I don’t know how true this is, I swear I’ve heard this line said by Alejandro while watching gameplay. Alejandro says that his family is at a safe house so they can’t be used against him. Alejandro later gives the locations to a safe house to Ghost, where they find Rudolfo already there. Alejandro considers Rudolfo family.

Love the video simply because your charisma, energy and love for the game (all games tbf) drive it. My ONLY issue is that the subtitles don't sync up with the voice on occasion. Could prolly do with an an extra pair of eyes in that regard. Otherwise, like all your other vids, loved it

yesss I beat the campaign just last night, seeing this pop up I was excited to relive the parts I enjoyed. It really felt like a "the greatest hits from the OG MW games" but wasn't bad for it, I loved the mission where you jump from car to car and the way all the ghost masks looked on the table looked amazing to me, not just because they are an iconic mask but it just looked so real

A sequel to a reboot of a franchise that is chockfull of easter eggs from the og games. Oil rigs, the name "Soap", "Do NOT fire on the church", All Ghillied Up, and my favorite "Since when the hell did Shepherd ever care about danger close?"

17:32 It wasn't pointed out in the video, but if you play with subtitles on Graves' name will change from Friendly to Enemy (blue to red by default). It's a nice touch that could have been overlooked by just making his subtitle name red at the start of the cutscene.

As an old-school 24 fan I cannot support the notion of the great Glenn Morshower as “every other” military man. He is a gem. A gem I tell you.

Right in the beginning, it’s wasn’t Shepherd telling Ghost he was danger close, that was Philip Graves, leader of Shadow Company.

I do wanna say that I love the mechanics in Alone. I know it's a little experimental but personally I found them very fitting and very fun. I am a survival horror nut so I fit into the mold very well. I liked finding resources and using bottles to draw the Shadow's attention away from injured Soap. Along with how the guns felt different with Soap's injury (since I took forever to even get the adrenaline thing) really made me feel good. Idk about it being brought to the end of the game, but it was pretty fun to work with while I had it. Just a fun campaign overall for me Oh and I love the detail of Shadow's worrying about Soap, and more so Ghost's locations. I listened to one talk about how freaked out he was of Ghost for so long that I forgot what I was doing and got shot. Really near dialogue that I wish more of the enemies had in other sections of the game.

I absolutely LOVED the campaign. Proximity chat on Warzone has made the experience sooooo much more entertaining for me. Multiplayer is solid. I love this game!

Another win which could have been implemented was the controller mapped missile hacking tool seen at 16:57 and 22:23. I found it super engaging where the button prompts were corresponding to the buttons you would often use during combat and a little detail I noticed while watching was the colour coordination, I play on an Xbox so I didn't think twice about the colours of the buttons Green (A) Red (B) Blue (X) and Yellow (Y) but to see them the same even on PlayStation Green (Cross) Red (Circle) Blue (Square) and Yellow (Triangle) (as seen by the symbols of the button prompts) I believe is a nice bit of unity across the platforms

I love the Older brother and Younger brother relationship between Ghost and Soap. They just radiate it whenever they are both on screen.

This game is a great game, along with excellent visuals and a good narrative storyline. However, the storyline of the OG Modern Warfare 2, especially when Shepherd betrays TF 141, and Shadow Company assists Shepherd, is actually more emotionally impactful as compared to that of this game. In the OG MW2 game, Shepherd's betrayal came from a mixture of a "feeling of betrayal" (that 30,000 soldiers of his command were killed and the world did not react), and a desire for revenge against his country (for the 30,000 lives lost). There is more emotion in that backstory as compared to the "I messed up and want to cover my arse" storyline. Also, in the OG game, Shadow Company's loyalty to Shepherd also made more sense, because Shepherd was given a "blank Cheque" with which he could pay off Shadow Company to kill coalition soldiers secretly. Here, with the more generic backdrop, there is no way in hell that Shepherd could make that bargain for Shadow Company to turn on their own allies without question, as Congress could pull the funding looking at the carnage that they made in Mexico.

They should've waited at least three years before they came back with MW3. What a rushed, poorly executed and contrived pile of SHIT.

your reaction seeing Soap was my reaction too xD also with Ghost...truth be told i've never been good at shooter games or even cared abt them so the whole CoD franchise flew under my radar (ofc i knew it exists but i didn't know it has characters and story), but somehow i just ended up seeing some fanarts of Ghost and not knowing where that character is from i started googling and suddenly i was 5h deep into reading the MW lore 😂 and i fell in love with the characters and their chemistry so much that i might just buy the game and play it myself xD or at least attempt it but heaven knows my aim is shit...

Here’s also good attention to detail is if have subtitles on when graves said “General Shepherd sands his regards,” it turns red and when Price and Shepherd are talking his sub is yellow indicating not not knowing where his alliances until he said he’s a dog with a bone and then it turns red

I have to point this out because I found this out recently. This same actor/VA for General Shepherd also played one of the interrogators in Battlefield 3's Campaign. It's a trip seeing him of all people when revisiting BF3 after all these years.

Oh mate, come on, you suppressed my absolute favourite bit of this game... everyone meeting with Price at the top of the wall, getting into the getaway vehicles, Price saying "The truth" and then the soundtrack at the beginning of "Hindsight" mission... it's so absolutelly gloomy and inspired... I'd love to hear yer reaction to that.
