Can’t believe I just sat for 48 minutes and watched a feller, fellette and their little humans clean up and reorganise a shed, but I have to, I saw it, well done.
Hey Derick I have been a fan since the beginning and I loved every car you have got going. Just a thought; since "Independence" has been retired how neet would it be to turn that NASCAR race car into the new burnout car/drag car/race car to replace "Independence". Just a thought or two maybe three.
Derek, you’re one of the richest men I know of. And I’m not talking about folding money or man toys. That’s one awesome family you’ve built and in turn have helped you build something special in Vice Grip…
There is a wide spread, but rarely recognized, addiction involving a love of tools and the stuff we use them to build and repair. Collecting tools is an addiction that is more pervasive than sex or drugs. We may complain about reorganizing our shops but deep down, we love it. God bless those people that live with the addicted, like my wife.
About 7.3 minutes into a project like this is where my stepfather would have been screaming obscenities at me for "doing it wrong" and told me to just get out. You're the best dad, dude.
There's something about organizing or moving furniture that old guys hate. My dad cant move a couch without losing his shit for some reason I dont get it at all.
Hate to say it, its a the differance between a leader and someone who thinks they should be in charge. For a lot of my youth I was the latter part, but then realize they have to learn and not all people learn at the same rate. Just love how is wife join in and help organize it, probably because its a skill Im lacking in
Super family project. The boys got in there and moved a considerable amount of stuff. Jessica sure was moving through there like she was jet propelled. Just a total family effort. Must make a man proud of his family. Stay safe and tell your family how much you appreciate their efforts.
The world needs more Derricks. Love your content. No video is ever too long. In fact, I'm always disappointed when they are over. Love the work you did on the GTO for the vet and as one myself, I totally appreciate it. Keep up the great work brother.
Ya know, I can't imagine the feeling you have watching your dreams come to fruition, doing what you love, with whom you love. To stand back and look at what you have built both professionally and personally must feel quite surreal. Congratulations Derek, you've earned it.
I just bought my first house, with out even knowing it Derek has helped me turn my life around, being able to watch him each week and see what he's created for himself his family and us supporters has giving me such inspiration to reach my goals, next up is getting a shop built! Your shop is a dream by far!
I've been watching since back in the day, and it's hard to describe how much I've enjoyed your channel(s). Watching you and your family grow and evolve has been such a joy. Nothing I can type here will be new or unique, you've heard it all before, but you make a man proud.
Watching you, Jessica and the boys working together takes me back to a hundred different episodes where I watched you guys do things that few get to enjoy. This channel makes memories, and that's a good thing.
I love how random the ceiling fans get in the shop when you run the time-lapse sequences. As always Derek and family, you guys always put on a good show for the entire family. Thank you from mine to yours.
Thank you for taking the time to make the great content across multiple platforms you do. It reminds me of being young again and having the routine every weekend watching car shows with my dad. Now I get to enjoy Friday nights with my son watching car shows.
There was something just therapeutic about watching this and the fact that I didn’t have to move all that myself 😂 Love seeing the success from what seems to be one down to earth guy that is full of passion and dedication.
This is what it looks like when a man follows his own path and is blessed for being such a good person and most importantly, someone who is a very, very, hard working father, husband, American. Love your content guys. You are such a positive and wholesome role model. Thanks to the whole family. You guys warm my heart. 😁👍🇺🇸💪🍻
I find myself asking myself, "self, why do you find it interesting and entertaining to watch just about anything this guy and his family do?" I don't know but there has to be a medical term for it. Anyway, thanks Derek. Mad respect and appreciation for the love, service to others. I don't know, what I'm trying to say. Maybe your continued example will encourage me and others to be better human beings.
Just a suggestion but, I'm sure its way after the fact. You could spread out your foot print on your shelving unit by not having 2 end pieces/uprights butted up to each other. Take some or half of your horizontal shelf pieces and put them between the extra uprights you will gain. This will make it necessary to increase the spacing between the shelves, but you could arrange them so you have some areas for bigger boxes etc.
I love to see you and the family working together to get your future secured. You all seem to work well as a team. You and Jessica are great roll models and deserve all the good that comes to you ❤
Derek, I just became a VGG member and after watching this it’s already paying off. My wife has been reminding me lately that our 3-car garage/workshop/workbench/junk depot is due for a clean up and re-org. But your massive project has inspired me! I’m no longer dreading it, instead I can’t wait to get started it’s gonna be so fun……nope…it’s still gonna be a pain…hate it… Love all the stuff on VGG, VGL and LGG too!
@@mikeparker2865 he's got a shelf organizer perfect for that! Just take them out of the vehicles and toss them on a trickle charging system. Saves money from having dead batteries in cars.
@@Mrcrowley1967 Maybe wireless charging pads, you park your cars on, you know like the wireless charging docks and pads for your cell phones, they need that for vehicles HAHA!!!
Hello 👋 from the UK absolutely loving all your video's early and present Your video's have kept me well entertained the past few years and still does Keep up the good work Savings some of these baby's Big thanks
It's been fun watching you and your channel grow over the past couple of years. Wishing you and your family the best thanks for keeping this old guy entertained. God bless
This is my ASMR lol I agree, just watched you clean your massive garage and moved a bunch of cars around to give you more space to work on stuff. Pretty cool to see how far you have came from when you first started RU-vid, pretty big fan. Can't wait to see your next projects plus your revival videos those are cool.
Is it just me or is it funny that this guy goes to junk yards to get old cars to run and drive again, and now he's doing the same thing with his own personal collection. LOL. Love this guy.
Watching y’all rearrange the shop reminds me I need to be cleaning & arranging mine. But nah, it can wait a while longer! Your dad’s Buick was my favorite episodes on the main channel, I’ve watched it multiple times. I would love to see some more content on it. 😊
Brother I have followed you for years and it is absolutely a beautiful thing to see what you have turned this into. And to see your family involved is awesome. Thank you for everything you share . Can't wait to see where you take VGG!!!
You can almost double the shelf space on those husky racks by only using one upright when building the next unit beside it. Also makes more vertical room on each shelf for taller items. Same can be done on heavy duty commercial fork lift shelving.
@@hunterklemz0597 actually it is stronger than two leg stand alone racks when they are put together in a longer run. I work in an industrial warehouse and that is the only way we build racks.
great content glad to see you are getting your work space better organized. When I built my shop I thought Thats a bunch of room now it so full I can barely walk through it. I think I need to do what you did, organize it.Thanks for sharing
Looks good, have a great crew working with you, can't wait to see your boys get more evolved with helping you rescue old cars and trucks. Wish my dad and I would have done things together like that, lucky boys.
While I watched this, I was thinking of the very beginnings of a feller working out of his attached garage in Minnesota. It is absolutely awesome to see how far a feller has come since then! I hope for nothing but continued success!
Great comment, it's a bit mad but I feel real pride in seeing how far Derek, Jessica and the boys have came over the last few years. The kind of pride you feel when a family member does well, you know the whole family have worked non stop and deserve all the rewards and many more to come.
Looks amazing. I've always loved organizing, but I didn't know I enjoyed watching others organize until now! What an awesome workspace. Your boys look like they get taller with every episode! 💪
I’ve been a subscriber of yours since the very very beginning. I think I’m one of your first 50, actually. With that said, I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed this video. Please make a fleet cold start video like this OFTEN. Totally unedited and show us what you do with the gas pedal and all the controls and whatnot of everything you have. That was sooooo cool. Thank you again. You are the absolute best, Derek and deserve every ounce of success you’ve gotten.
Damn, it's easy to love you guys. ❤ I wish you all the luck and happiness which you deserve. You are hardworking and your family just fits in with everything. You and Jessica are also fantastic parents😎
I'd love to see the Nascar car get turned into a drag & drive car for Vise Grip Garage. I think that could be an awesome crowd pleaser & it would allow you to do more of those type of events. Could even get the boys to be the "co-driver"
Derek and Jessica, absolutely loved this vid. As a native of extreme northern (way Northern) Wisconsin, and recent relocated to Southern Kentucky. I echo your sentiments regarding winters. Thank you for your dedication to the channel and your content. Since you're pretty close, hope to make it down to TN and actually meet you all.
You know when I first started watching vise grip garage I told myself why doesn’t this guy have his own TV show and now I saw your new show the other night. I’m glad your growing and making it happen congratulations on road worthy rescues show👍👍 .
watching you reminds me of me. I started in 1976 at 13 yrs old. My uncle Wayne a mechanics mechanic taught me so much. There are mechanics, and there are parts changers. You are the former. and remind me of me. Giving up was not an option. I can tell you how many times on one hand I gave up on a problem to seek help . only to end up solving it myself. I think we both have more projects than we could hope to finish . And here I sit watching you. I have a few years on you. You give me hope to know there are genuinely nice ppl still out there. i
Derek, this is weird. after 20 years of leaving everything where it is, today, I decided to "gut the basement" and make it "like new again". I finally solved a leak in the foundation, now I can have more "man Cave" space!
@@briantruck2284 I have granite stone walls my dad put in 60 years ago. Its pretty cool. good dry concrete floor and two sumps. lots of power tools, drill press, lathe, etc. Time to oil it all up and get er going again. getting cold here.
Bentley napping in the cardboard box was not only funny but cute! he was like " I'm gunna lay down while ya'll work." I can only imagine what his big brother said to get him up. love you and your family. such good people!
He was filling in for the shop-cat… He is in training, and Cat is learning him all the tricks… Whats and whats not's… And do that's… And every thing… It is not easy to be a professional shop-cat @ VVG.
Congratulations man! I hope this big change serves you for many happy years to come. No doubt you'll be able to do amazing things. I suppose the bonus of moving all that stuff is that you don't have to go to the gym, haha.
Hooray more room.. It looking wonderful.. Just awesome. and everything organized that'll be easier for you to work on the cars alright nice garages. I love watching your shows and Derek you are so funny at times love your sense of humor keep up the great job
What you could do with the stock car is make it run and drive. Put a low hp 350 in it and have your kids and or wife race it on a track. Use it as a learning tool and make it faster as they get better
Tip: If you haven't already, label the shelves with the content they're supposed to have them. Makes it a ton easier to keep them organized. Loved the show!
Those model A's would make some cool his & hers hot rods. I'd love to see you resto-mod those model A's. You make the choices for yours and Jessica makes the choices for hers... Awesome nut and bolt selection Derek, great idea and choice!
The nascar would be cool to get running and throw a vgg wrap on it and take it to the freedom factory or some circle track and have some fun with it. Or just use it for channel promotions and set it in front of businesses or take it to events
Man, you've got my dream setup all packed neatly into a this wonderful garage. The tools, cars, lifts, storage, and even the parts...I envy y'all's determination, ability, and work ethic to keep moving up life's ladder.
Man, Derrick, your boys are great helpers and Jess is a trouper. You are lucky to have that help in the shop. Good luck, looking forward to more content. Great work.
I admire your hard work, that’s why you have succeeded. Outstanding. And this makes me feel better about tackling my garage reorganization which I’ve been putting off for, oh, maybe seven years.
I felt for you watching this video. My 11 year old son and I spent all of a month this past summer cleaning out our 2 sheds (60X40) on our farm in NW Minnesota. 3 tractors, 4 yard tractors, 3 boats, 4 motorcycles, 2 snowmobiles, '60 Impala, '70 Oldsmobile 98, '77 Cutlass, '78 Trans Am, '78 Lincoln Mark V, 3 trucks, 2 Town Cars, '87 Corvette... plus 40+ years of stuff of my dad's after he passed away.
I absolutely LOVE these kinds of videos. There's something so satisfying about watching y'all organize your spaces to be more efficient that I just love. Perhaps it's because I'm also doing organizational things in my house and it's making a world of difference to my enjoyment of my own space. Well done and thanks for all the details. Can't wait for your next vid!!
And I thought my little barn & garage was tough to rearrange! Not! Super job on the new digs, Derek & family! Love it! Derek - the roof/ceiling area would be a perfect place to hang some beautiful American flags, etc. - hint, hint...
Love the video, can't wait to see the cnc setup. I got a 4x4 table 3 years ago from Minnesota. Finally getting time and space to set it up. Can't wait to use it. Shop is looking great. I couldn't have said it better with taking pride in doing the job yourself to better your skill set, etc. Keep up the great content, hopefully be able to meet you in Florida next year.
