everything new Patch Notes: dyinglightgame.com/news/firea... thanks for watching long time to make pls watch #hobby #gaming #dyinglightgame #dyinglight2update #60fps #news #dyinglightcoop #update #techland
Since people are still asking, i cant compare with pre update cause i dont have the footage from that. I have just made a new video covering things i missed in this one - if you’re interested. Couple things of note: 1. Bloody ties, the 1st DLC, is now free for everyone. 2. Dying light 2 is free for all on steam 22-26th of February. - for anyone having trouble with this, check again. They have just released a trailer regarding the free period. And lastly, for anyone watching the video, it would be greatly appreciated if you point out anything you dislike/like about the video, and any mistakes I may have made, or improvements I can make. Reply to this comment. Thank you in advance.
Overall you done a pretty good job showing the changes, ones that i feel you could improve: Firstly, when you showing the new models for zombies, it's too fast that i have to pause to see more of the zombie, you should slow it down and give us more view of the zombie. Secondly, when you showing new designs of safe zones and dark zones, especially dark zones, you should look around more for us to see. One extra thing is if you can, you should also include comparisions for changes such as new models,graphics,.... ( bad english)
@@hoanghung5542hey thanks for the feedback. Glad you enjoyed. I was thinking about making the model section longer, but i thought that it would waste time, and that, as you said, it can be paused to look. But enough said, will do. Thanks for replying.
Great job! Only improvements i would've liked to see are comparison shots of the graphics changes. I know this would have taken some more planning and pre recording of footage from before the patch, so i understand why it's not there. Other than that, i personally prefer voice-over work instead of text on screen, (even if AI voice) especially in videos like this where the purpose of the video is showing off changes and new stuff. I know not everyone is comfortable with doing voice work, but it would definitely greatly improve the quality of the content!
Man I swear and dead serious this is the best way a person can make review videos. Straight to the point, no excess info, no major spoilers. Thank you so much for your 5 hour effort, I know how time consuming and even difficult making even such short videos can take.
Peacekeepers and renegade actually fight each other when they’re close to each other now! NPC’s don’t draw their weapon every time you’re near them renegades throw grenades
I have had the game since launch but barely played it. Still think it needs more updates ngl, dying light 1 is still much better imo. Nice to see they fixed a lot tho and added a lot too.
Pretty impressed. Don't get me wrong, the launch of the game wasn't that great but I genuinely appreciate how they're making strides to fix the game and make it better. I am still iffy about guns, as i'm so used to playing the game without them, but hey, a new chapter has begun. Also, thanks for the in depth video, I appreciate it!
@@koda236, play the game. I was fighting virals and volatiles yesterday in a dark zone, and one of the dead bodies was lying on a railing. Didn’t see anything like this before. But the price for this is stutters I guess.
@@mrazbyte3150 they used to spin every time you kill them especially with 2 handed weapons but now they go where you hit them, now they fly around looks awesome but I tried my best to explain 😅
you got my sub brother , the details of your vid is very good and very detailed . I did play DL2 but on the free weekend of steam , i may say it was really a improvement since the DL1
Loved the video! really glad you made this, thank you for your effort! You could maybe add previous footage if you can, for example when saying new graphics, could maybe show old version if you can. Great video tho!
i thought something seemed up with that, i had my fov at max and my hands were still right in my face i was so confused and it feels weird, hope they fix it
Same. Now they look like on infected people, not a walking corpses (technically biters not a zombies). Just like in the first part+dark skinned biters are returned.
I played it around release, and I think it's time for another play through. The game was butt when I played it, but I've been seeing some good things. Great video.
I've been playing it and the combat fixes are really nice. That had been the major turnoff for me upon release. So far much better than the first play-through by a large margin. I'm not noticing a lot of stiffness and it feels smoother than the first one. I agree that it is pretty boring, though only with the storyline. It's not interesting in the slightest.
theres a couple problems i have with the update like how the parkour/melee weapons stamina reduction on armor stats are removed and replaced with stamina recovery and weapons cant be dropped for friends. but still they did good....mostly
funny bug i found with guns if you aim with iron sights and quick switch to a melee weapon, you cant run and only walk and to fix it you have to aim in and aim out with a gun again
Dl2 is getting better and better thanks to dev team for listening to their fans i really enjoy playing now i quit playing for a long time but this update brought me back
@@RainCloudVideos It would need major reshade work to look more realistic As this game doesn't strive to be a real horror game, it's more there to be a game to grind with your buddy, it's clearly not trying to aim for accuracy
Dyinglight 2 for me was a great example of a game with proper FSR with an "ultimate" setting and removing its DRM. Was able to run it on a 1060 3GB med-high settings 64fps with a xeon e3-1230 v2 and the upscaling was similar to The Division w/o that much loss to visual quality
I'm glad they darkened up the nights more. It's still relatively navigable, but on release there really wasn't a whole lot of difference between day and night. It made night time traversal kind of trivial especially without volatiles anywhere.
Now we need a Storyteller Update that fixes and improves things in the story, like a proper truck chase where you can either catch up with a proper truck model before it makes it into the Renegade Hideout and if you don't make it you have to run through the building. You can side with the renegades (colonel's renegades), and the epilogue is moved to the start of the Breakthrough quest, where you can toggle it via quest menu. For more encounters, they should make one that a PK is executing either a survivor or a Renegade, Shopkeeper Encounters like in DL1, or more campfire stories for more lore. Oh and Spike should be apart of the story more. That would be an amazing update imo.
The main story is weird. It needs to be improved. The e3 mission has also had such weird changes, you no longer fall into the dark zone, and the way you get told frank is dead is not as impactful.
@@derkitheofficial3306 i kind of understand the story, but I just want that truck sequence choice thing to be implemented into the game to make it more memorable than getting a signal, going up something to continue it, than continue it. They definitely have the budget to do that PLUS make it that we can side with the Colonel's Renegades. Even when you only have access to ONLY Old Villedor. Like he would get a signal from a renegade spying on him, then when they meet up Colonel will thank Aiden and they go to attack peacekeepers or something.
@@derkitheofficial3306 yeah, but they did do that during the 20 minute E3 2019 Gameplay Trailer, but as a seperate quest called At Death's Door. Which you would've had to select it via inventory or when the option does out of the inventory for a couple of seconds. However, it is annoying that once you select Save Frank, you can't go for the truck until you complete that objective.
@@derkitheofficial3306 The biggest killer for me is that they hyped the game that your choices actually mattered and there were huge paths within the game, THEY EVEN SHOWED A GIANT WEB-TIMELINE THING IN ONE OF THE TEASERS. Then it's all for nothing because your choice really only matters in SOME areas and doesn't change the ending at all.
Love the new zombie models. I think every update they should add a bunch of models, human and zombie alike along with more random interactions so we dont see the same guy get stung by a bee 3000 times.
I'll always applaud devs for sticking with and completing a game so far beyond release. Cyberpunk, No man's sky, and now this. Yes it should've launched in this state to begin with but new sales aren't guaranteed and it genuinely is just a labor of love for the diehard fans, and really goes to show that good developers do still exist
I hadn't played for awhile and picked it back up after this update. Gotta say, I feel like they overtuned the amount of volatiles on the streets at night. Some of the missions that require you to do night time activities become near impossible or way harder because of just how many there are that attack you. GRE anomalies specifically are insanely difficult now because they scream and instantly summon volatiles. The scaling for blueprints still sucks, where they are too expensive to upgrade and a lot become obsolete after you level up, like molotovs. Idk, it's still a fun game, but a lot of the major issues are still there, along with some new ones.
@@derkitheofficial3306 yeah I didn’t think they’d change those but they did and in my opinion they look a little better then the ones from before although they are a little bit slower than the old swing animations
I’m honestly thinking about giving this game a chance again , I tried after the bloody ties dlc but the game was lacking something that kept me from playing but since it got the cyberpunk treatment im looking forward to this 2.0 update.
This update makes me wish I'd waited to play DL2 for the first time. Looks like I'm going to have to do a second playthrough. The new graphics and lighting give me a very DL1 vibe. Can't wait to dive into a second playthrough of this one. Great video, thanks
I hope they fix the UI bug. No matter how many times I turn off my HUD, it keeps slowly coming back icon by icon. That plus it still rains inside small areas in the city which drives me crazy
I can finally say that I want to play DL2 after all this time, and it looks like on par or maybe even better than DL1 by the looks of it in my opinion. I still want them to add a bit more zombies roaming around though
Another thing i noticed: Gear stats got reworked, making stats more role specific to the respective armor types (i lost all of my good heavy armor because of this change)
legend level 300 should have a special icon like a skull above the level and you could earn levels after 300 which would go up infinitely like paragon from diablo 3
i have no idea if its apart of the update as a secret or something, but this update has absolutely MURDERED the zombie ragdolls from throwing for me, whenever i throw a zombie behind me theres a good chance they go literally flying to the point where they despawn, which im not complaining
The stuttering was because of the vegetation for me, I noticed on the run boy run map that the grass wasn’t loading and started stuttering to load them in quick enough
Even tho I can't play DL2 on my potato pc (It even runs DL1 if lucky on 20-30 fps) I love seeing DL2 updates as well. After the updates the game seems more real and fun not gonna lie. Keep up the good work!
