As a youth when the original film came out I can't go past that version. This is excellent though and you may be right, it's more polished but hey the original was from 72 or 75.
As a transplanted American, I had no idea that Kate Ceberano and John Farnham had performed in that musical. It happened a number of years before I relocated to Oz... I love Kate Ceberano's voice that lady has a God given talent for sure. Her voice is amazing.. going to do some digging and see if there if the whole musical with them in it was video taped.. would love to watch it.
I saw her a few years back doing all fleetwood mac songs, my god I was blown away by her voice. She had a big hit about 30 odd years ago with a song called bedroom eyes. Great song. Check it out if haven’t seen it.
Probably. The album itself was the highest selling Album in 1992 in Aus. Another 5/4 number was Take 5 by Dave Brubeck which reach N0.7 in Australia, and sold 2 million copies worldwide, excluding cover versions.
Try not to get worried Try not to turn on to problems that upset you Oh, don't you know everything's alright? Yes, everything's fine And we want you to sleep well tonight Let the world turn without you tonight If we try, we'll get by So forget all about us tonight Everything's all right, yes Everything's all right, yes Sleep and I shall soothe you Calm you and anoint you Myrrh for your hot forehead Oh, then you'll feel everything's all right, yes, everything's fine And it's cool and the ointment's sweet For the fire in your head and feet Close your eyes, close your eyes and relax Think of nothing tonight Everything's all right, yes Everything's all right, yes Woman, your fine ointment, brand new and expensive Could have been saved for the poor Why has it been wasted? We could have raised, maybe, three hundred silver pieces or more People who are hungry, people who are starving They matter more than your feet and hair Try not to get worried Try not to turn on to problems that upset you Oh, don't you know everything's alright? Yes, everything's fine And we want you to sleep well tonight Let the world turn without you tonight If we try, we'll get by So forget all about us tonight Everything's all right, yes Everything's all right, yes Surely, you're not saying we have the resources To save the poor from their lot There will be poor always pathetically struggling Look at the good things you've got Think while you still have me Move while you still see me You'll be lost, you'll be so, so sorry When I'm gone Sleep and I shall soothe you Calm you and anoint you Myrrh for your hot forehead Oh, then you'll feel everything's alright, yes, everything's fine And it's cool and the ointment's sweet For the fire in your head and feet Close your eyes, close your eyes and relax Think of nothing tonight (Close your eyes, close your eyes and relax) (Think of nothing tonight) Close your eyes, close your eyes and relax Think of nothing tonight (Everything's all right, yes) (Everything's all right, yes) Close your eyes, close your eyes and relax Think of nothing tonight (Everything's all right, yes) (Everything's all right, yes) Close your eyes, close your eyes and relax Think of nothing tonight (Everything's all right, yes) (Everything's all right, yes) ...
@Joe-ey7cu there is evidence for your God or Satan. To have doubt would be to first beleive and then to doubt that belief. I never believed. I wasn't raised with religion, I have never had a belief in it, which I could then doubt. I simply evaluate religious claims based on the evidence. The problem is that there is no evidence for those claims.
@@peteroliver7975 why is the earth just the right distance from the sun to sustain life ? How is it that animals have their own natural defense mechanisms ? We have on earth what we need to survive, so do you ever question how all these things just happen to fall into place? There is a higher authority behind it, too many pieces fall into place to be just coincidence.
@@Joe-ey7cuthe earth could sustain life along a fairly big shift in distance from the sun. And it'd be appreciated if you thought about the fact that billions of planets exist, so it's not that wild that at least one of them has the right conditions to sustain life. I guess you've been religious for a long time, did it ever occur to you that finding ways to prove the existence of a god defeats the entire meaning of the word "faith"?
