It genuinely amazes me how utterly little CinemaSins seems to know about zombies. In most zombie franchises, zombies typically aren't too bright. Not to mention that killing them via damage of the brain is a staple of the industry.

@@TheDudeOfSteel87 It isn't. The t-Virus only works on living tissue aside from the variant released on Rockfort Island. It's explicitly stated that the t-Virus at this point does not revive the dead. Like many things, these movies mash several different things together in regards to the t-Virus (Like having it be airborne when the t-Virus doesn't have that capability because Anderson decided to fuse the plotline of RE0/RE1 in regards to the Arklay lab incident).

Watching Jeremy sin videogame movies is always a treat to watch because whenever he tries to bullshit his way into a sin it's easier to call him out for it because if you played the game (or any game in the series) you would know that he's lying or wrong

I mean, Nemesis isn't really a character to say, it is more of tool , In-universe and gameplay wise, it would be VERY hard to failed that creature and its iconograph unless you are trying to.

@@NateNeverAskedForThis i don't think the remake give the nemesis a personality but it sadly fail the paranoia and unpredictable aspect of the apparitions of nemesis (which was one of the strength of the original), now the remake put the nemesis at precise moments leading the players to known and predict, a thing you shouldn't do as it was a great part of gameplay replaying ability (+ the randomness force the player to do choose that way include losing ammo).

I unironically enjoyed this film, one of the few Paul W.S. Anderson films I like (Mortal Kombat being the other). I love all the cast and Mike Epps steals every scene he's in (seriously, he's one of the major highlights of the movie.)

Jeremy sarcastically saying "because one kick is all it takes" is so funny to me because one of MY biggest critiques of movies is when someone gets kicked in the head and keeps going like that's just a minor inconvenience. 15:45 the real sin is that Alice directly steals the "ripped from the game" cool scene from Jill. This is basically Jill (and Nemesis') movie, and she's sidetracked mostly throughout it after Alice turns up, because actually, if I remember correctly, Jill TRIES to do her scene seconds before this but her attempt just doesn't work, so Alice appears outta nowhere and does it instead. >:(

18:50 yeah he's definitely ignoring that relationships built on trauma bonding isn't a real thing. Yes they are almost all doomed to fail but they definitely happen all the time. Because of the traumatic event emotions are high so thus all emotional bonding from it will be very very intense as well. But once those emotions from that trauma start to fade often so does the level of emotional investment in the relationship which is why they often fail.

In my opinion, instead of calling "Not-Jill" "Not-Ashley" at 13:24, she should have been called "Not-Rebecca". Hell "Not-Hunnigan" could have worked, anyone is better than the President's daughter.
