Gru is a +50 year old when he meets Vector; who was in his 20s. However, “Minions: Rise of Gru” contradicts this by having Mr. Perkins tell Gru about Vector when Gru was a kid. That would imply that Gru and Vector are the same age.

Was Vector's age ever actually stated? I never even knew how old Gru was really supposed to be in the first film. These are poorly conceived CGI cartoons. It's less nonsensical than the X-Men reboot series having each movie take place in a consecutive decade while the main cast only ages by a year or two in between. Those start with 30-something James McAvoy playing a 20-something Xavier in the 60s, but by the 90s he's just shy of 40. Yet he's supposed to be formerly Jean-Luc Picard another decade after that.

30:50 minions never speak gibberish, they always speak a mix between every language, hence why they can say "Banana" in english 44:34, y'know maybe they understand english, but can't pronounce the words well? That's pretty common for someone to understand a language but not be able to speak it

I think the mispronouncing is intentiontionnal as all the words, be it borrowed from another language or just mispronouced is used for comedy and make kids laugh. Minionese is kinda like a polyglot form of baby talk now that I think about it...

The spike did puncture it, yes, but the spike still being there plugs the perfectly spike shaped hole! It's become like ribbing episodes of Roadrunner because a coyote cannot pick up an anvil or "Roadrunner conveniently obtains pot of paint and paintbrush although hundreds of miles from nearest convenience store". ... I don't know why this bugged me so much but Minions speak Minionese which is a blend of Spanglish and multiple other languages. Everything they say actually has an assigned meaning within the guidelines of their language. By definition is can't be considered gibberish because gibberish by definition has to be unintelligible or meaningless.

Not many people seem to know this but canonically, Gru's front business for his evil is a company called "Grucci", that makes designer clothes. That's why the G symbol appears on his clothes and stuff. Nobody has to question his profession because he's relatively well-known as the Grucci manufacturer.
