Which further proves the point of fully functional characters. I understand all the developing and the fatalities and brutalities and such forth, but he was put in MK11 as a playable character if I’m not mistaken. And Rain was a available DLC character in MK9 and MK could have been nice enough to put him in Kombat Pack 2 after they had time to do all the animations. Same thing for Baraka.
Yea we know but we don't care they can reuse SOME of the attacks from the story mode baraka yea it would take almost as long as bo rai chop to make them but who cares?

Anyone else find it funny how the guy brings up bullet damage GAMEPLAY wise in the CINEMATIC cutscenes. Especially to this group of humans, who would be killed by the bam bam bullets through the head. But what is logic, right?
Stop justifying the story with "well if this happened, the good guys would lose and the story would be over. Do you want that?" It's a sin since the writers wrote themselves into a corner and created plotholes that they shouldn't have.
Franco Tosi Hell, have the Lin Kuei start like right after Cassie puts up her guns or Kotal calls the order. I don’t believe this was even a corner but something that was stretched incredibly too long. That and there can still be difficulty to the heroes without it being destined to die.
And Raiden used the revive card on Johnny. The same card he was willing to use for Scorpion in MK9. Raiden literally could have used that card to bring Liu Kang and Kung Lao back at any time. Raiden does deserve all those L's under his belt.
Hmmm...I feel that's open to opinion. I'm sure plenty of people would consider Jin the main character. Especially if we consider the animated and live-action films.

Well, nerves and pain receptors are 2 different things, it is an oversight in the people who made Jax's arms to give him pain receptors. The water being used to heal the acid is plausible because it does make it less concentrated and thus stops more damage. It's true that he should be blind but we don't know what acid is used when Reptile spits but there should still be damage to Takeda.

Also the series has bad writing for many reasons, but the power scaling isn’t something I’d say is really bad, especially since characters have to fight certain characters sometimes and the game would be very restricted in match ups if they followed powerscaling all the time

For example, Sonya blade should never be able to beat geras, but she did that anyway. It’s not consistent, but I don’t feel it took away from the story in any serious way. However if you feel annoyed by the powerscaling the best thing you could do is just not play
Isaac Melendez, how because EVERY form of animation/live action series use flashbacks to show you details of that characters backstory on why they become said character and why they want to reach their ideal goal shown from within the flashback and once the flashback ends.

frankly, a few things i never understood, the whole comic thing, why couldn't they just add the comic to the game as a feature, take some time from gameplay to read the whole lore cuz not all of it is in the story mode, next you keep mentioning the heroes all dying but the part where kotal kahn has the new heroes surrounded,why couldn't they just do it like they did with Sindel in MK9 where she killed the majority of the Heroes but not all of them, even if Kotal's army killed Cassie and the crew there still would be some heroes left, Jax, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Sonya for example, like what if we saw a cinematic where Sub-Zero and Scorpion both double-team Shinnok, wouldn't that be awesome?

Yeah I kinda agree because in ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 you can read the comic but instead of normal mkx it should have been in mkxl because it gives you a bigger reason to get than just it has alot of dlc
Because the entire point of making someone have to read a comic to understand a game's plot is to drive customers to buy additional media content in order to make 2 revenue streams, it's greed. He says they are free on RU-vid, but that's only because fans made videos reading the comics, thus paying themselves for the comics in order to make ad revenue off the videos where they read them. It's pure fuxkin greed and shameful
I've worked in the industry too. I was a 3D modeler, animator, rigger, and UV texture artist. All at different times. I know how it works too. Also, it's important to know that EA is a terrible company to work for. They hire nearly anyone they can and pay you a crappy salary. Tons of my friends have worked at EA; all of them hated it. Just out of curiosity, do you know what position the GCN guy worked at EA? No one has ever told me.

I only wanna say this just because I heard this while watching some gameplay. When Erron Black and Triborg go against each other, Erron says: "My bullets cut through metal, and bullshit" (lol) I think that implies that his bullets are somewhat stronger than average bullets made from Earth. That's my assumption at least :-)

And one on one with a spirit may not require physical contact. However Ermac is a creature made up of thousands of spirits and souls. Even if they are bound together by some evil magic, that is still thousands of souls. Trying to read Ermac’s mind is as easy as looking for the spoon that fell in thick soup. You have to fiddle with your fingers to find it. Also Takeda said “Let’s see what’s going on in there” or something like that. He probably was intrigued, because he could not read Ermac from a distance, for the reason I stated above.

Johnny Cage actually has died. 2-3 times. One in MK3, then he came back to life, then he dies again and he comes back AGAIN, and then in MK9, he is revealed to be dead
also you do realise that bullets do little dmg so that the game will be balanced also if you see blacks ending you will see that bullets do a fk ton of dmg not ingame also jax dies from a mortal wound in his ending a wound made by a pistol
Ms paint I agree. Two of Erron Black's brutalities are all about guns (his throw and command grab) and one of his fatalities are just him shooting the opponent. Guns are not weak.

So they aren't Sam , Luke , dick . Quan chi ressurected those who were dead to revenants. So he is powerful. We paid $45 for the game and we still have to BUY the comic to complete the story ?!?! Kano can pay a security company to protect him. Honestly how dumb...

9:47 There was also a theory that Mileena just wanted to die and be with her father, Shao Kahn. She already lost the amulet, lost to D'Vorah and even after death, Rain and Tanya betrayed her. So for another reason besides her not biting D'Vorah or teleporting cause she knew she already lost.
KingNazaru to further prove your point, he beat Shao Kahn twice in MKX alone and could have beaten him 3 times in that game if not for Raiden, also does Boon really hate him if in MK11 he was made a Fire God (this was in the future of this video though). Also Liu Kang is basically equivalent to Raiden in terms of power. If he had Raiden’s god abilities he’d be unstoppable. He should be the REAL protector of Earthrealm had Raiden not been an idiot and killed him.
Both GCN and TrueUnderDawgGaming make good points. Like TUDG explaining that certain costumes/skins are subjective opinions and the variations for all the characters are for balance purposes, but at the same time I agree with GCN analyzing certain things in the storyline could've been better. I did sense a bit of fanboy in this video, but I could somewhat understand what TrueUnderDawgGaming's point of view. I saw GCN's video as comedic and no way trying offend anyone who really likes the game, it was just pure fun. I don't know it's just subjective of both sides on how they feel and see the game.

Why would he point out the need for muscles to have nerves for robot arms. A computer controls servos using wireless signals and also wires, it doesn't need a stimulation of nerves to do it. If the arms used Jax's brain like it was a computer, it wouldn't need nerves, just commands.
+Cosmos Violet thats is because neverealmz are quite lazy and didn't even studied basics of cybernetics (and actually didn't bothered to make them as cyborgs). thats why jax and cyborgs are just humans in "metal costumes" (and painted blood). and as of "feeling pain", there only could be pressure sensors, but it can provide only "touch" feeling. nothing more. also, why revenant jax has metal arms? :)

@Fast yeah. but in fact all this looks like Jax has costume on his real hands. as for feeling shit, cyber-hands just need to have tactile-pressure sensors and it will work like real hands. and if devs were able to understand that, then they could write a slightly different scenario with less drama, but more badassery effect.
Also, having to read secondary stories to understand what's going on is definitely a sin. There's ways to do both without needing the secondary to understand the primary. I was so confused how Sub zero wasn't a cyborg anymore
If a character can fight and is entirely animated with a voice actor. They may not be entirely functional, but they are damn close to it. More than 75% done at least. The hard part is not adding a fatality and intros, but design, animation, and working out deals with voice actors for lines, if the character has a move set already made and is well enough to be used in the story mode they should be a playable character, I see ya wanna take it easy on producers and animators, but there's no real justification it's just trash and lazy. Also, the comics may be cool to read and a way to support the series, but you should not be forced to go over to a new medium to understand the story and the details happening within it, MK is a gaming series not a comic book series

Alexander Mayweather Mainly because think of half of Quans and Raidens encounters after he turned them into revanants. He always seems to be able to stop him in his tracks with their strength. I dont even think he knew that they could be turned back. It sounds also as if Raiden found that out when he preformed that magic on Johnny when he almost died and he restored Hanzo and Jax

1:59 Johnny cage actually does die, in the original timeline he is killed by Motaro but his soul was protected by Raiden. Also He is killed in battle by the Deadly Alliance Tarkatan Warriors.
I just want to say that bullets in the MK universe are the most inconsistent thing. In story mode, they either do nothing or mow down hordes of demons. In gameplay, they do little damage, But also can blow someone’s head off, or one shot!
I personally like the throat rip fatality. Sometimes beauty is in simplicity, and I like the sound effects for it. Sound design is pretty good in this game.
cassie cage beats corrupted shinnok. the way you explain it (kryptonite to the good and all) is not confirmed (as far as i know, i could just be talking out of my ass). cassie is NOT as experienced and as skilled as johnny, i think we can all agree. and most of all, shrink has just ABSORBED EARTHREALMS POWER!!!!!! do you realize that? shinnok has just become a REALM stronger.
Yeah the Green Energy is from a Macedonian War cult that fought Gods. Johnny is descended from that stock. This is explained in the comic, MK9’s ending for Johnny as well as this game I believe

Also, you are wrong about Shang Tsung only being beaten by one person. Liu Kang defeated him one on one, Kitana bested him when she found out about Mileena, Kung Lao also won against him and Quan Chi, and Smoke beat Shang Tsung while he was assuming the form of Bi Han.
And also, that is not double jeopardy, since he is not sinning the same sin multiple times at one specific point. He is sinning it for every time it appears, which is NOT double jeopardy. Also, you call him off for using double jeopardy every time. And if him doing what he does in this video counted as constant double jeopardy, you would be committing it too.
Last time I checked, Ermac is made of thousands of dead souls fused into one character. Imagine trying to be someone like Takeda or Kenshi trying to manipulate that many souls at once. It is not possible. It’s equivalent to Quan Chi using his telepathic abilities in one of his fatalities which lures them to the knife but there’s a bunch of people.
A fair question, and i don't want the "go read the comics" answer that you give in the video, but when or how does Sub Zero stop being a cyborg, as i remember in MK (2011) he got capture the cyborg instead of Smoke, why being a revenant change him to normal sub zero?

32:32 Shinnok's goals is to conquer all the realms to help the One Being become complete again which would be trouble for the Elder Gods since the One Being is so powerful that it can easily consume Elder Gods. So there is a perfect good reason why they have to interfere unless they are asking to be eat by the One being.
Quan chi is not weak my dudes. He beat Shang Tsung. He is the most powerful Sorcerer in the NetherRealm. Only Shinnok, Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung and Delia can match Quan Chi's skills as a sorcerer. His manipulative and deceptive nature has earned him many enemies, including Sub-Zero and Scorpion, the latter whose entire family and clan that he destroyed. Lastly ,without him Lui Kang would not have been killed.
im not a neuroscientist but pain signals and movement signals do not follow the same set of rules when its based solely on being able to hit things more so when it comes to robotics and cybernetics. pain signals are a warning to the brain to say hey something is doing damage make it stop that kind of thing would not be needed in a combat type cybernetic enhancement yes having feeling for doing things like picking things up or holding them is important but not pain unless it was doing more then a little bit of damage even then the fingers are not needed to punch just the knuckles are needed even then im sure there could be a setting to turn pain off altogether during a fight just so it wont be a hindrance or a distraction during the fight also to point out the obvious but the skin is sends the pain signal in the hand during any hand grinding there is no muscles in the hands the reason you cant punch anything when your arms are numb is not due to the nerves that feel pain but both the muscles and the nerves that send the signals to move them are deprived of oxygen. there for are not able to do anything in the case of a fully robotic arm the arms do not need blood to function nor would losing some fingers yes the systems would most likely send pain to his brain due to the damage but not hinder his ability to punch but just grinding no not unless for some weird reason he would have that level of sensitivity in his robotic arms now if this was where he is just wearing the arms like a exosuit like in the movies then ok the hand grinding might hurt but it still has to go through metal protection he still would not need pain receptors for an exoskeleton like enhancement unless it is really needed other wise its kind of pointless to feel both your real life hand's pain and the robotic's pain signals too

Technically baraka, sindel, and rain are fully functional. Cuz they were playable in mk9 so if they really wanted to, it wouldn't be hard to give them a new x-ray, fatalities and brutalities and variations cuz they'd have 70% of the work done
6:55 Totally understand where you're coming from for Rain in the previous video and Sindel in this one, but for Baraka I take exception. In Kombat Pack #2, You got to play as the Xenomorph from the Alien Series, and one of the Variations for the Xenomorph is a Tarkatan Xenomorph which is obviously fully functional. Now I don't claim to understand how this sort of thing works at NetheRealm Studios or WB Games for that matter, but It does prove GCN and Baraka Fan's point that he was fully functional, or at least functional enough to have it grafted onto the Tarkatan Xenomorph. Love your videos, keep it up. 👍
