@@Moefongoe Well it couldn't have been that cold out, considering there are random shots later where you still see people still hanging around outside by hot dog carts and stuff instead of holing up in literally any building with central heating.

Easy, the scriptwriter and effects team were ambitious but the studio execs would never allow the age rating to be bumped up through blood and people outside of the intro dying. Just like the brutality of Transformers being OK because it's not people or human blood that appears on screen.

They already had that in the flashback at the start of the movie with the frozen guys locked in the room, so just do it again.

It's a common problem in movies that struggle to balance like 20 main characters. It takes them over half the film to do what another movie might have accomplished in the first 30 minutes. They built up Garraka in the marketing like he was going to be this really cool threat, and we spent significantly more time with a ghost that just possesses chairs and trash bags and stuff.

NYC should’ve been frozen for atleast 20-30 minutes. With the Spengler family saving the rest of the team.

I don't think those traps were emptied into the containment unit - if they had, then Gozer would be loose again, trying to take over the world. I just assumed they are still buried in the ground in Summerville. It's been established that the ghost traps have an apparently very long lasting power supply (I remember Egon saying in GB2 that the batteries in the proton packs alone had a half life of 10,000 years or something like that).

Come and watch the movie because he is in it. He contributed nothing whatsoever to the plot. He was doing experiments he did in the first movie. Blink and you missed this. And then strolled in from nowhere to the headquarters and be useless again. Same in Afterlife. In Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania as well. He was in a single scene. And was pretty much whisked off. There was like one more mention of him there but that was pretty much it... He is really wasted nowadays. He really fell since his time in Groundhog Day...

The girl was cool, but she's too old now to be the precocious but awkward pre-teen that no one listens to because she's too young even though she's totally right anymore. That was kinda what made her character likable in Afterlife. She's just kind of a brat in Frozen Throne.

I saw that movie.....The end finale was the only part that really lived up to the name GHOSTBUSTERS.

Eh, Slimer's been around since movie one, and he's neutral-to-good; and the whole Statue of Liberty setpiece in the second film was pretty soundly fighting the supernatural with the supernatural. Ghostbusters has always been about a ragtag band of nerds fighting the supernatural with whatever they could get their hands on, really. 'Science' just happens to usually be page one of the nerd playbook.

Ghostbusters was one of the first movies I had on video that I watched over and over again. I went through phases with certain movies when I was a kid, and would get obsessed with certain ones. Ghostbusters was my second (after Close Encounters of the Third Kind), and even before there was a proton pack toy, I made my own proton pack out of a box and construction paper and other stuff, attaching a suction cup gun with yarn! I also made ghost traps and a containment unit (again out of boxes and construction paper). At least I had imagination. 😊
