ThisName DoesntMatter nope it's what it says on the tin so even Carface got into heaven despite being a dick though in the sequel he eventually became the cat-devil's sidekick, but that's a whole different story and Charlie had a nightmare that he himself would end up in hell

I don't think so. I think a lot of the "gags" and stuff they did with the invisible dragon would probably cost more than the animation.

also there was a plot to it, only those with troubles could see the dragon..... or if you were piss drunk. it was basically a fusion of the movie Harvey(which is a GOOD movie) and a bunch of acid(never a good decision when making film, only music.).

Jossy FTW It wasn't an annoying, soulless musical like the old one looks like. It was human & had good special effects & dialogue. It definitely wasn't as good as the How To Train Your Dragon movies though.

It’s almost poetic, how for years Disney was a rather humble animation studio, then became this movie-making machine, then finally the far opposite of it’s origins, a greedy corporate conglomerate, buying big shows like candy.

@@Glisten456 Yeah, I had no interest in watching the 2016 Pete's Dragon because I grew up watching the original Pete's Dragon at my grandparents' house (cause they owned it on DVD). The remake was too modern for me and my brother who saw the remake said it wasn't a musical. I felt that that ruined the nostalgia of the original one. The one thing I give the remake credit for is the fact that it was filmed in New Zealand

Watching this, um. recap, I actually appreciate it more as an adult than I did as a child. More, but not enough to re-watch it. That said, the acting is intense! I am sort of sad that the actors probably had a vision that did not come together because of the so-bad-it-is-still-bad script.

Jim Dale is probably most famous for the "Carry On" films.

Jim Dale was my childhood. Grew up listening to the audio books and Pete's Dragon was one of my favorite movies as a kid!

IMO Stephen Fry did a WAY better job at narrating those books than Jim Dale.

Well, that's subjective. I personally like Jim Dale's better, He has more range and does a better voice for Voldemort than Stephen Fry. (I like all of Jim Dale's voices though.) Stephen Fry's is just... "okay" in my opinion. To me he has too deep of a voice for the series he is reading. It's about an 11-17 year old boy and there are so many characters in there that need their own unique voices and I just don't think he pulled it off as good as Jim did. But again, everyone has their own preference.

You're right it's all very subjective, it's funny that you felt Dale's range was better, and you preferred his Voldemort, because I loved Fry's voldemort, and always felt he had better range and more diverse voices. (i've listened to all the audiobooks, by both of them) So yeah, all preference really, funny how that works.
