YTEdy New Mexico has been a state since 1912, longer than Hawaii and Alaska. It sits just north of Mexico, south of Colorado, and between Texas and Arizona. We have a joke here that goes "Arizona blows, Texas sucks, and New Mexico is caught in the middle."

Cedes B It has been many years since I read the edda, but from memory, that is not the case. The gods can die, but it is unlikely (at least until Ragnorak). Balder was pretty much immortal and invulnerable (other than to mistle toe, which Frig had not asked to promise to not harm Balder). Hollywood bastardises pretty much anything it touches. I'm not a fan of Marvel's adapted forms of the Norse mythology, but then again, I am a purist.

+Richard Sejour Well, how do you know if it's so old?
@freyahaglund816
@freyahaglund816 8 лет назад
+Jakub Lachowski, its called writing. You know, Jesus didn't invent writing. Here in the Scandinavian countries, specially Norway and Iceland, we had our own type of writing. Its actually many here that can read and write it, even though its not used for every day use. What Richard Sejour is saying is true, that there is many many writings on this, by Snorre Sturlason. Anf anyways, its based on Norse mythology, and all of this is actually correct, but not the stories afterwards in the movie though.
@freyahaglund816
@freyahaglund816 8 лет назад
+Richard Sejour yes, in norway, the godess Freya is spelled Frøya. My entire family has got names from the norse mythology. But sadly no one actually knows that much about the norse mythology, especially in the Southern parts of norway, but i know that in the north, where i want to live, it's still a few people beliving in it. But i've got some pretty interesting stories that can relate to the norse mythologi and stuff. And by the way, sorry if you see some mistakes in grammar or spelling, but i try as good as i can, and norwegians are not exactly know for being good at english, and i suppose the fact that im thirteen doesn't make it simpler 😝

Half of the sins about Loki's abilities can be summed up in one word. MAGIC. Loki is a powerful magician, a fact they never really try to hide.

Krwzprtt Actually, Thor's words are specifically "You're ancestors called it magic, and you call it science. I come from a place where they are one in the same." What he is really saying is that the forces Asgardians utilize is cannot be labeled as either. While he would agree with Clark's Law, he would also agree with Niven' Law, which counters that 'any advanced form of magic is indistinguishable from technology." While it is true a lot of Asgardian artifacts do function like advanced technology, they function through the manipulation of the very magic energy of the Odinforce, and as such cannot be labeled as science or magic. Thus Loki's abilities, as well as the abilities of all other races of the Nine Realms, can be labeled as either magic or advanced science.

Same. My town had zero traffic lights and one overpriced gas station/shitty convenience store owned by a crotchety 100 year old man and a post office. It was also one of only two dry towns in the entire state which probably explains why weed and prescription drugs were so popular amongst us teens.We didn't even have our own highschool. We had an elementary and a middle school but for highschool we had to take the bus/drive to the next equally small town except they had two gas stations, a couple convenience stores, pharmacy, dry cleaners, post office, pizza place, a few restaurants, two bars and two liquor stores and even a tiny train station. My 8th grade graduation before highschool consisted of about 80 something kids. Meeting our counterparts who would make up the rest of our freshman class was a trip. Literally. At the end of 8th grade our class took a field trip to their middle school so we could all meet to make the first day of highschool a little less awkward. Good idea but was described by upper classmen and older siblings as when the drug addicts from our town meet the alcoholics of their town and combine to form the new freshman class. Lol. I was the only kid to actually be called to the other school's principal's office. Why? Because it was 1996 and I was wearing a Marilyn Manson t-shirt that said "everlasting c***sucker on the back. Oops.

@qrowe3080 8 лет назад
+Shannon G Loki is the master of illusions. He could easily change himself to look however he wants. He made himself look like Odin. There was still a person there, it just wasn't actually Odin. Just because he's wearing clothes doesn't mean he can't make his clothes different. And as to your comment on the definition of illusion, you are correct. The clothes aren't really there. They look like they are. DIFFERENT clothes however, are there.
@AliceNWonderland16

5:34 THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!! If Loki actually wanted Thor to die, he would have just outright killed him with the blaster. He purposefully chose to hit him away because there was a chance of him surviving. And if you notice through the rest of the series, Loki is constantly doing this with Thor. He's never actually wanted to kill him (even if sometimes he's probably more okay with the idea than others)!!
@AliceNWonderland16
@AliceNWonderland16 3 года назад
And this also goes with why there were flaws in his plan: he's not a master planner. He's pretty much a kid, and his emotions/actually caring about his family caused him to mess up. If he was truly ruthless and cold, he wouldn't have hesitated with dealing with everyone.

Also, I think the idea behind Coulson letting Thor go, was so they could monitor exactly what he was doing outside their custody, because Coulson clearly suspects something is amiss (hence why he lets Thor approach Mjolnir in the first place). I don't think it was weak or tongue-in-cheek; yes people can "restrain anger until they are alone" but that's not what what the sin was. It was that he could hold off upending a huge, heavy royal banquet table until at least several minutes later. I seriously doubt many people can do that.

Shinyhunterlobo and ShinyhunterRaven Comic writers can pick and choose when to stay with the canon story. That's why a lot of comics have to be reimagined every so often because of how contradicting the stories can be to each other. As far as why Loki looks Asgardian as a child, it's because of his race's abilities, at least that's what it used to be.

The Thor movies are far from the best in the MCEU, but some of these sins come from just not knowing backstories or characters powers- like Loki's shape-shifting (which includes his clothes) or Odin concealing Loki's true form with his magic. There are some things- very minor things- that the movie glosses over, but that doesn't mean the movie sucks just for that.

Another HUGE sin. The war In 965 a.d is supposedly where Odin defeated laufey and took Loki. So Loki was a baby.thor and Loki both grew up together, so Thor was a baby too. So, how the hell does anyone know who Thor is? It's not like he came to earth after that war. They say the Vikings worshipped him, but did they even see him or is hammer? Meaning, there is no way any human could know anyone except Odin, which makes this entire story make no sense.

SmilyLily1996 please. I have read both Norse mythology and the comics. Laufey is fictional. The battle is fictional. In fact, the entire marvel story of Thor has nothing to do with Norse mythology. This is one of the few times that you have actually managed to annoy me with your "It's a sin because I don't like it" attitude, what is so stupid about setting up the Tesseract storyline? I mean since Loki is the villain in the Avengers and it shows him influencing Selvig's mind, it would be pretty stupid if they just skipped that and cut to him being brainwashed by Loki with no explanation. Ding! What do you mean there is no record of the Frost Giants and Asgardians whatsoever? Ever hear of Norse Mythology? You know, where Thor originates from? I don't see any humans around in that scene anyway, so how would anyone be able to keep a record of it? Ding!

The thing that makes me mad isn't the video, it's the commenters who don't understand that this is for humor, not to be taken seriously, and that the people at CinemaSins (usually) love the film they make a EWW over enough to do it, and then are suggested films that they do and don't love. Half of the time the "sins" are explained in the movie, but are pointed out because viewers who don't pay attention to the story would point out, and other times there are legit faults in the film that they point out, and sometimes it's just a random thing that they make a joke about like #7 being a "shrine" to nipples. It wasn't a legit fault, just something random to point out just like Bruce Wayne's bed in BB & DKR is a nipple bed. It's just something to laugh at.

I was thinking the Asian warrior, Hogun, was inspired by steppe warriors from central Asia more so than samurai, the comic book depictions I've seen led me to believe this. Based on what I've read about him he was never actually a human, his unnamed homeland was conquered by some dude called Mogul of the Mystic Mountain. It would be much more interesting if he were a samurai or steppe warrior from earth who became an Asgardian god in Valhalla for his prowess in battle.

I thought Loki's shape shifting and magic powers were pretty clear. They just showed us instead of being cheap and telling us. When Odin's hand touches baby Loki's skin, baby Loki shape shifted his skin to change color and shape of what/who he was seeing/touching. And since he stays looking like an Asgardian, I would assume that his adoptive mother uses her magic to keep him from changing back. He's not going to turn into one since the boys are taught the giants are evil like a boogyman. And his skin turns back naturally to its original form of frost giant when his skin is touched by one. I'm not a comic book reader, but I got all of that during the first movie. Except the mother and her possible spell, that I got from Thor2. Maybe this video needs to be redone and looked at more closely. This one felt rushed....

You know you're too far gone when you critic a youtube video purely made for satire

As a female viewer I quite enjoyed that mud wrestling scene. Thanks, Kenneth Branagh!

Not to mention that loki is not the adopted son of odin, acording to the myths he was odins blood brother and he always knew he was a jotun (another more correct word for ice giants, since jotuns were not always giants or ice for that matter).

Eh, one translation of the Lokasenna calls Loki Odin's "heir", so it's a bit ambiguous.

Yeah, Thor is an adaptation from the Kirby/Lee character from comic books, not the actual myth. The comics are very loosely based on the Eddas, so much that Hogun is a character based on Charles Bronson's face.

You forgot to say: When the Destroyer started destroying everything, none of the other Marvel Characters showed up. Or any other big damaging of the Earth events.

They were obviously doing something more important. Like making out with their respective mortal, unpowered, or otherwise unspecial love interests. Or perhaps destroying some other giant death machine.

That seems to happen in superhero movies. All these incredibly horrible things happen yet none of the other superheroes show up to help unless it's convenient to put them all together in a movie.

I believe at least part of that can be explained by the fact that according to Marvel canon, Thor, Iron Man 2 and the Incredible Hulk all happened in the same week.

When he flips the table there are no chairs whatsoever and none of the fruits and vegetables that fly off the table are smashed. I guess the Asgardian janitors needed a break, what with Thor smashing tables in his own house.
