@@ThePresidentofMars well it was a lot more annoying as u could spam it near infinitely. Now it’s a bit more tolerable and there wasting charges doing it since clicks last half a second
Honestly one thing that could’ve been touched on was chain blinding, there are times that you should and shouldn’t go for a chain blind. I always find it useful to blind twice during a flashlight save, once for the killer to drop, the other for when the killer is about to get their movement back. Gives the rescued survivor more time to make distance in these cases
Came here because I held the flashlight directly at the killers face for the entire durability of the flashlight, and nothing happened. I don’t understand
Honestly, i good thing to mention would be WHERE to aim. Especially since this game doesn't have a rectinal for such things, WHERE you aim is MASSIVELY important to be able to do this. As you mentioned, the stunning for wraith and nurse just need to be on them. but learning where to aim is heavily important since with some characters you can't tell and the height differences between killers can vary heavily (like Sadako to Nemesis) I have gotten three flashlight saves in my life in this game and i count each of them as being hella lucky. There was only ONE i was really confident I could get for some reason and I got it. Otherwise I massively fail because I don't get the angle right. You recommend right in their face but there's radius around them where they can still be effected, as shown in your clip of cheryl blinding the huntress with someone else.
also another killer interactions of flashlight you can also blind victor from twins :P (idk if he fully counts but that annoying thing getting blinded is funny to do times to times and helps making some killer quessing attacking which makes them a bit hard time to chase/attack someone)
Yooo good stuff with the video. also to add some missing yet important info: The speed in which you get WHILE shining your flashlight is your walking speed and Fixated affects that movement speed. this can be a blessing and a curse though, As you can get more distance on an animation-lock blind(pallet stun/break, window vaults etc) but you also need to know the max range of a flashlight since if you get past it, you won't get the blind
Light born has to be the best perk of the entire dbd perks because how fun it is and its just a passive perk. Literally so ffuny how they illuminate your face and the flashlight beam doesn't get narrower

@@drayz9655 Because of natural human curiosity :) If I have a friend who plays DBD, for example, then I can make some small talk out of it. From there I can develop it deeper to show my interest. I'm simply just a curious person. Nothing too deep on my end. But I can use this knowledge through other means like a conversation.
Soooo... Basically an item that requires repeat usage to get good with and your probably going to be somewhat useless with until your good at it... But will be extremely useful once you get experience... Although the new perk that increases movement speed while using the flashlight can help in very situations...
I Dont Know If This Counts But You Also Cant Blind Wesker While He Picks A Survivor Up From His Bound So You Cant Flashlight Save If They Got Caught By His Bound And Put Onto His Shoulder Unless He Just Looks At Your Flashlight Beam After Lol
Victor can be blinded. Victor is technically a power so this is also a unique killer interaction, it's not very useful and is much easier to do with Flashbang.

came here to find out how tf flashlights are so op. just started playing again, (last time i played was when the game 1st came out) and everyone is carrying flashlights and its impossible for me to hook someone.
Flashlights are broken atm. Plain and simple, killers aren't running the park but it's still acting like they are. Multiple times it doesn't work at all and the killer even stands still and moves towards me with a survivor on their back to prove it won't do anything. Then later in the match it starts blinding them??? I check perks after every match I have no clue what's going on but it happened 3 times different matches during lunar new year event
I still don't get why they remove the light burn mechanic I mean for Wraith yah understandable but removing it for the nurse??? come on you can barely counter her powers to begin with they could have at least kept it for her
I have a mission where I need to stun the killer three times now everybody told me how to use a flashlight but every time my dude and doze ways it never works I wait for the Killer to pick someone up it will do the flash but then it won't do nothing to the Killer and then on the other hand when I throw a plank down and do the light thing it doesn't work too an important and right at their face so I don't know what I'm doing wrong
All these actions need practice and many killers will expect them So it's hard to pull off By the way a good perk for stunning the killer is head on from Jane Romero (Stunning by exiting a locker) or blast mine from Jill Valentine A mine you can place on a generator and when the killer kicks it he gets stunned and blinded
Ok but does brightness stack on flashlight? And if it does how long will the duration be when stack? I've been googling flashlight brightness stack but non has the answer.
i literally need a tutorial of how to actually blind the killer. cant find one. i dont need strategies. no matter how much i try, i cannot manage to successfully blind the killer. i understand how it is explained, yet i cannot actually pull it off. idk what i’m doing wrong. i just dont bother with them anymore.
Yo, I think I know what the problem is. I was feeling the same way, then I watched this. The positioning is slightly different for male and female frames, and this video made it to where I actually know how to aim. Brit he killer was trolling and litterally sitting on the other side of the pallet held the flash light on his face for litterally half the battery life no killer blind
Ok so im iri one killer and I consider myself pretty good like I've done some pretty cracked crap and could prolly become a streamer but I don't want this to become a task or chore I didn't know though that your not aloud to do a dash hit this whole time and I've been pressing and holding right click or r2 with whole time in hopes that id barely reach and get lucky rarely I almost never try this but its worked before and I guess they were litterly just trash because it had me fooled this whole time
I am tired of the flashlight, every time I play as killer the minute I see a flashlight I leave. I hope it gets band. Bro I feel like the survivors when I see one of them with the flashlight, because it’s me running away from them. People online use that thing to bully killers.
Just re-installed the game to see if it's any better they got rid of flashlight spam click, they changed the struggle to a longer more crappy minigame ( I re-uninstalled the game)
