I have always loved the GSD although I am a Doberman guy. The show ring has really hurt both breeds and the amount of backyard breeders is insane. I became a Doberman guy because my mother wouldn't allow us to have a GSD due to shedding. That was a fateful decision, otherwise I would have become a GSD guy all those years ago, lol. Still love the GSD and feel like it is the "original" working dog. The Malinois is great but not as good as a GSD "overall", plus they are a bit "too" energetic and not great for all situations. A well bred GSD can be used in any situation, from the war zone to the board room.
In about 10 years I’d love to get another GSD. But one from a proper breeder, in the past people sold/gave away puppies on the street in boxes or through word of mouth. That’s how it we got ours. 2:06 that coloration is what ours had. Love them! 💜
At one time, the German Shepherd used to be my number one favorite breed, but it’s still in the top 10 favorite breeds then I would actually would love to get one, despite that they shed
Often when we talk about the German Shepherd dog, we talk about hip dysplasia, but there is a disease, the name of which I don't remember now, that my dog unfortunately suffers from, which causes difficulties in Defecation, and perianal wounds, in acute cases the dog does not defecate at all, and the intervention of the vet is necessary, the only effective treatment consists of pills that lower the immune defenses, And they have a high cost €180 per pack, it is an autoimmune disease
They’re referring to the function and genetic testing that backyard breeders do not do. Usually back yard breeders are breeding for a quick buck and not checking the health and temperament of the dogs. Thus the dogs they produce are unstable and often end up in shelters.
