Looks like a good track. I like height changes of tracks, difficult to learn and adds a 3rd dimension to skill.

It looks like an excellent track for testing and qualifying, but could make sure a boring race, especially if the teams went there regularly and were able to gather plenty of data about it

Portimão is simply the best and most exciting track ever made. Have a very unique layout with massive elevation changes, flow, and world-class facilities at a phenomenal location. Every single driver loves to race at this amazing circuit. Hopefully will get a permanent presence on F1 calendar for the years to come.

More tracks like this, please. It will be like Mugello, a true roller-coaster. The drivers will be exhausted but satisfied at the end of the race, so no-one actually cares if the race is good or bad. DRS will be powerful, so overtaking should be possible.

I doubt there will be much organic passing here, much like Mugello. The only thing it has in its favour is its an unknown but just like Mugello if they raced there regularly the majority of the races would be unbelievably boring. Portimáo has more potentia for overtaking, but not much more

They should use the turn 1 chicane instead, it will make the start really interesting, especially when trying to find the breaking zone.

F1 circuits are not designed for exciting racing. They are designed for the wealthiest teams to maintain their advantages. That's why there are so few 'pass-friendly' sections at any given track. Thus, the wealthiest teams run away while the 'also-rans' follow gasping along. To rit: Mercedes followed by everyone else.

The grand tour’s first episode was filmed here in 2016. Jeremy clarkson said the McLaren P1 would be faster than the Ferrari Laferrari and the Porsche 918 around the track and if it wasn’t Hammond and May could blow up his house. But the P1 ended up being the slowest car around the circuit and Jeremy’s house was blown up
