Excellent tip on turning the fuel valve off and allowing it to burn up most that is left in the carburetor to prevent it from gumming up when it's full. I start and let mine run for about 15 minutes every week in the winter and every month in the summer with oil changes every season regardless. I like your small access panel to the ground rod. Thanks for this video.

Here is a reminder about portable generator safety: everyone really needs to see this safety reminder to make sure. This advice is just to make sure that everyone is aware of all the warnings and it’s just to remind people to be careful using portable generators. Generators can be dangerous if not used carefully. Every year, hundreds of people die or get injured when using portable generators due to carbon monoxide poisoning and electrocution. Make sure you are using your generator carefully and keeping others safe as well. There is something very serious that everyone should always be aware of when using generators. Some people do run their generator indoors which is not safe and that increases the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning which can cause death of family and you. Some people run their generator in wet conditions which can electrocute them. Please remember that you should never run your generator indoors. Remember that carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that you cannot see or smell. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer. Keep that in mind. Make sure your generator is 15-20 feet away from your house and away from doors, windows, and vents. Never use your generator in your porch too. Having a carbon monoxide detector is very important against generator safety. Some people also allow children to go near the portable generator which could pose risks. We need to keep an eye on our children making sure that they are not near the portable generator so they won’t get electrocuted or burned by the generator which is dangerous. A locking enclosure also keeps kids safe. A generator shed might look like a tempting place to explore, or take cover during a game of hide and seek, but a generator is a dangerous piece of equipment that can cause injury. It says on the manual that we should also keep children away at all times from the portable generator to avoid injuries. Please do not allow a child or unqualified people to operate the portable generator. Just because some manuals missed what should be listed doesn’t mean it’s safe to do. Always follow the generator safety rules when using portable generators. Generators pose electrical risks. If you need to use your generator during wet weather, you need a generator tent to protect your generator from getting wet. Don’t let your generator get wet. Keep your generator dry and before using your generator, please make sure your hands and your generator is dry. Do not wear loose clothing when operating the generator. Everything that is said on the generator’s operating manual should not be ignored. Never smoke cigarettes near the generator. Please keep flammable things away from the generator. Never overload your generator too. Your generator can catch fire. Never ever try to plug a generator cord into a wall outlet to avoid back feeding. Back feeding your generator is dangerous. Always turn on your generator first before plugging in appliances and shut off the appliances before turning your generator off. Use a heavy duty cord for your generator and the cord should not be worn out. All the instructions should be followed carefully. Never refuel your generator while it’s running. It can cause fire if fuel spills while your generator is hot. You should turn off your generator and let it cool off before refueling it. Having a fire extinguisher next to the generator is also important. This is only a reminder for everyone’s safety of using generators. Make sure your generator is properly grounded. Having a fire extinguisher next to the generator is also important against the safety rules. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I1jT3ANENvI.html and here is a video more about keeping others safe when using generators and also about our family’s safety. Hope this helps. Thank you. Be safe.

Good review ! I'm researching gen sets in order to aquire one for a couple of reasons; one being for the just in case SHTF type of scenario. And the other for power outages in general. Is your generator wired to your house and fuse box ? I appreciate your time spent in responding. Thanks

I have this exact generator and I need to replace the spark plug wire on it. Is the spark plug wire easily detachable or do i need to remove something else to replace it? Also do you know which type I need and does Harbor Freight carry it at their stores? Thank you for your help. And, by the way, you're video is great!

How much oil does a new 4375 take
@sandasturner9529
@sandasturner9529 2 года назад
This would make for a DESCENT backup/emergency generator. Should last the whole time power is out granted you change oil regularly, and give it good gas (89 octane or at least ethanol-free fuel). Lastly, don't go plugging everything/anything into the generator; read the owner's manual and wattage chart and don't forget to distribute loads as even as you can.

I'm just curious but how do you fuel it with the shed so close to the gas tank lol seems like a lot of trouble for that not being mean just wondering how refiling works but it is a great idea
@sweetbailey6315
@sweetbailey6315 3 года назад
Hello Brian, actually that is the 2 things I missed in the video. The fuel guage and tank. Honestly the very first time I fueled it, I slid it over to edge of shed. It was a bit of a hassle. I didn't want to completely remove from shed just to refuel it. It is a bit tricky, I need one of those flexible funnels. But there's really no easy way to do it. Because as your fueling you got to keep a close eye on how full its getting. I haven't actually had to refuel it yet. But I believe I'll just have to unhook ground and slide to edge of shed. Thanks for asking, if you got a good idea I appreciate you sharing. Take care

I start to pull the handle on a pull starter and it's snatches out my hand what causes that? It starts up at full speed then drops down to a mirror 400 RPMs what causes that? fuel system?
@sweetbailey6315
@sweetbailey6315 2 года назад
Hello, my "guess" about the starting part is there may be condensation in the fuel tank. Water does not compress, so that's why the handle yanks out of your hand. Not sure about the other part, but could also be from having water in the system. What I recommend is to drain all the fuel out of the tank, then rinse with a little gas and drain again. Also carburetor may need to be cleaned. If it sat over winter with fuel in the tank, it will collect condensation in the tank. So always drain fuel out, if not being used. Or run it out of fuel, like in my video. Hope this helps, good luck. Thanks for your support. Later, PEACE 🙂

Do you have to add the ground to run it ?
@sweetbailey6315
@sweetbailey6315 2 года назад
Hello, I don't believe you have to have the ground for every use. It is a portable generator, so if you took it for a BBQ somewhere for one day. I think it would be fine without ground. It's just if you ONLY use it for one thing, like I have so far. They recommend, you ground it. It's a safety thing I believe. So it something goes wrong it protects the generator. Something like that, I'm not 100% sure tho. Hope this helps. Thanks for your support. Take care. Later, PEACE! 🙂

Where do yo put in oil?
@Jesse-cx4si
@Jesse-cx4si Месяц назад
While facing the front of the generator look underneath at the front. You literally have to get on the floor or back far away to see the yellow dip stick. You will need a flexible funnel to add oil. And don’t screw the dip stick all the way when checking the oil level (just remember to screw it down and seal it after you check the level.

Hello Jill. My apologies, I'm sorry that my video is NOT perfect. Do you know how difficult it is to make youtube videos perfect? Without missing anything, showing and explaining every tiny detail. It's not easy. The choke is always located on the carburetor, on every small engine in existence. My apologies for not making a perfect video. Thanks for your honesty, your view and comment.
