Got me on Zippos years back and haven't used a bic since!!!!

The brass inserts do look really nice, it'd be cool to see them start making solid brass inserts.

brass is soft when it's that thin but it's beautiful when they patina. i do hope they make it again. i just got my brass armor and they did come with a brass insert.

I am currently looking for a brass Zippo, and I really want an insert made of actual brass. If I can not find an actual brass insert I will only get a brass casing and a butane insert and put my chrome insert into the brass casing, and the butane insert into the chrome casing. lol

Great Video, it was annoying for me to see my brass inserts loosing its lovely colouring but in my opinion id rather strength over look as I do also believe brass cases go with chrome inserts. Also: I won the 1950s zippo I was bidding on last week! Price I was willing too pay and have already been offered more for it and it hasn't even been delivered yet (should be here tomorrow)! I'd love to send you some pictures if you are interested! It has the stamp with the big R symbol in the bottom middle so I believe it was a Korean wartime one (correct me if I'm wrong) but still unsure if it is steel or brass, we will find out when it arrives.

Where do you buy the solid brass zorro inserts? They only appear on ali express and when you look at the fine print it says they're stainless steel

My 2004 brass insert still looks better and more golden than my brand new 2020 brass insert. They must've gone to thinner plating at some point.

Newbie to collecting...how do you recommend taking out an insert, to not squeeze and bend the chimney? Especially a solid brass insert. Maybe there is a trick I do not know? Thanks!
