About this item
[Universal]It can be applied to most cars, making sure there's enough room for Installation.
[Size] Hose length: 31.5in / 0.8m,hose ID:3/8",hose OD:2/3".The thread of the inlet and outlet is M16*1.5.Capacity:300ML.
[Baffled] The baffle is disassembled in a rotary manner, adding an appropriate amount of steel balls can increase the surface area of steam condensation and more effectively catch oil.
[Note] When the temperature outside reaches the freezing point or below, the crank vent system will generate a much greater amount of moisture which can present a risk of freezing. Please clean your oil catch can on a weekly or install the original PCV hose.

I would install a 90 degree fitting on the intake hose, elimininate the kink or bend in the line. Job would have been easier and safer if you had used a proper hose cutter.

Didn’t think about the 90 degree elbow. Sounds like a great idea, I might just use it, I appreciate the tip! 🤝🏼

Looks good. I learned so much from your video. I'm about to add a similar can to my 2003 LTC. Just a suggestion.... You may add a 90-degree elbow above the PCV. It looks like, over time, that hose will collapse. Just a suggestion. Great video, though!

Nice set up but I would just get the right hose vs hacking up the stock hose just incase you want to pull the unite or sell the car stocki.

It’s job is to catch excess oil and other junk that maybe coming through, I’ll drop a link to a video that explains it really well. I’m with you on the small additions and small upgrades to my Mercury as well, any little help is welcome! Thanks for stopping by. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T-B4VRxAtbw.html

I wonder if the steel wool might rust from the water vapor included with the oil vapor. Maybe bronze or brass wool is better. I would add a sleeve or slide the existing sleeve on the AC hose since it looks like you have hose-to-hose contact now. Vibrations will cause wear otherwise.
@LoveWhatYouDrive
@LoveWhatYouDrive 11 месяцев назад
I did not think about the rusting, but that is a valid point. After a few months, I’m gonna give it about three months I’m gonna see how it looks inside and whether it was worth it or it needs improvements or what’s next. I’ll also see if I can maybe put some kind of a divider where there is the hose to hose contact, thanks for stopping by and giving some valid pointers.

spring tubing benders for copper tubing. insert the proper size spring into the hose. heat with a heat gun until really hot. bend the hose hold the position until it cools. repeat the heating process until the desired shape is obtained. I had to do this to install my catch can looks like custom hose just a FYI

@@LoveWhatYouDrive I just installed the oil catch can today on my 3.6 DI 2009 Cadillac CTS . I took a short drive and just for the heck of it I checked for oil in the can. Surprise there was some in there. I would say it's doing the job especially for a 30 dollar can.

@@ZeeCayPeeA ok nice 👍🏼, I took a peak into mine couple days ago and I don’t want to spoil the 90 day update video…BUT…let just say “it’s doing its job” better than I imagined.

@@LoveWhatYouDrive I'm glad I installed it on my CTS next up is to install one on the wife's Acadia it also has the 3.6 v6 both of the cars seem to have oil consumption . good thing I check the level regularly.

Hey, thanks for stopping by, I will be doing a video update on the performance and what’s in the can. In about a month I will do a 3 month update, wanted to give it time to see and show what’s going on with it. Spoiler alert! It’s “catching” a lot.
