A lot of people will say Menard vs AB or Tokido vs Kakeru was the best set, but this was the best set of the tourney for me. Not the hypest, but as far as how damn even it was between the neutral, the corner switches, the trades. It was just so back and forth. I mean 7:14 - 7:35 for example. Look at that damn fight for corner... 6:00 - 6:28 - The neutral here. Look at the throw techs and how many times they traded hits. Such a close fight lol.
Punk mainly lost because he kept walking into Angrybirds wake ups, you can see he’s expecting angry bird to play defense after he gets knocked down only to walk into a low forward or standing heavy, he needed to condition his offense way more or punish angry birds “mashing”. Angry bird recognized punk wasn’t expecting wake ups so he kept abusing that and smartly punished his overt patience. Was rooting for him tho, shout out to angry bird for making a shoto win the first evo 💯
Punk’s greatest strength is the threat of his throw game but you need to throw someone to get that started and I guess he kept trying. That and he was getting frustrated that he was the one getting thrown out of the gate.
@@OmarVedlityWell that's not necessarily true , of course if the dose is too much you get slow and lose your reactions. But a small dose just for the nerves might do the trick...
I’m wondering if Sony PlayStation will notice that DualShock 4 is one of the best controller thanks to Punk. They should allow the pad on PS5 without Brooks adapter!! Or … or they could make an effort on their Dualsense dpad !
@@oGR7o The damage is in the resets. She has some of the easiest meaty setups in the game, so if you use any of her many mix tools, you get another full combo. Yeah it's not as consistent as having just naturally good dmg in a combo, but people fail to understand basic fighting game theory. Get the ezpz reset > profit. S tier IMO. (I'm a plat Cammy main)

@@oGR7o She literally has the same amount of health as everyone else except Zangief and Marisa. No, her damage isn't as good as Luke's or Ken's, but her neutral more than makes up for it. She has a divekick that can be +ob if spaced correctly, she has great anti fireball tools, and she has one of the best walk speeds in the game. Combine that with a cancellable cr mk, and she's definitely top tier

Idk all the pros I follow have been saying Japan is behind in SF6 specifically since launch. Evo was kind of an opportunity for them to prove everyone wrong but didn’t turn out that way
I don't understand how could you say a region is weak while having 3 japanese players in the top 6. This is my first EVO and didn't know there were fanatics wars, like dude you straight hate Japanese players for some reason lol.
punk is a genius but his problem is he uses too many main characters and because of this he doesn't have longevity with them so he starts out good but as the battle continues youre able to read him and over take him. hes good for youtube matches and smaller competitions but for grand tournaments hes gonna need a coach to brush up his character flaws. he needs at least 3 main characters and hell be good. or two..the fewer the better. cammy had a reach problem in this match. crouching punch became predictable. To make matters worse all almost all her moves is punishable if she misses. also you dont save your specials in a freaking tournament you always wanna maintain the lead thats your momentum and hope for glory. in smaller matches its custom to save the specials and finish with them but not in grand tournaments. when blanka had a chance anytime he used his. punk on some occasion used his but he preferred to use his when his opponent had just the amount of life left that it would finish him with it that's what brought his downfall but a lot of times he saved it even at critical times where he was on the verge of having blanka catch up and overtake. That's a no no.
Punk menao and angry bird belong to same tier. Punk can go toe to toe with them. However he is less clunch at critical moment compared with menao and angry bird. He can close the gap in the future.
