@@JoseAlvarez-jc7sc It is actually possible and in fact happens. These players can notice certain arm or hand movements and anticipate what the opponent will do.
Now I am pretty sure that the box is primary a big advertisement for Qanba. Since afterall Xiaohai doesn’t need the box against ET at all when they know each other and play each other for more than a decade. If ET wants to read him it is not like the box can stop it. They deliberately made this happen knowing it will become a meme. Smart marketing strategy and is fairly creative too.
Or maybe the evo side to side setup has made his time... 🙄 The face to face is better imo. Many big tournaments like RBK and many other are using it now...
@@ogamitaicho77that too. Maybe he isn’t happy with the fact that in EVO players have to sit next to each other through the entire time (meanwhile in EVO Japan it is 100% face to face). Either way the box is more of for sending a message rather than fulfilling actual anti-peek purposes.
Yeah they should intentionally add some blank space at the end of the video so you can't easily guess who wins, I've seen some other tournament videos do that
hype match! glued to my seat just to see how the last match resolve. these two are the GOAT. shout out to the community for bringing the hype and kudos to the Hellpocket and Cole as commentator that brings the suspense to the table.
Kof is hype as fuck and i don't even play fighting games. Top 4 game at evo for sure that i love to watch. For me it's strive, dbz, kof, sf6 for peak watching. Tho I've watched all the games this weekend. Casters help a lot too and kof casters kept the top 6 hype
The matches were so close, both time(UB final, Grand final) they are at the range of KO'ing each other (one is making out of the reset, second is making the match to 2-2).
They should either make the players sit on the opposite sides with their own monitors, OR, they should simply provide some kind of partitioning between their seats so that the players won't need to use a box to begin with.
First of all the interactions between players sitting right next to each other makes the match more entertaining, and the box isn't for preventing players reading others move from controllers (it's pointless to do that anyways). The box is for blocking glare/light reflections of Xiaohai's sponsered shining gold controller.
