He was on the gt3 list. But in a vlog said he flopped since why spend 250k on a gt3 when he can build multiple cars and have a shit load of content. And wallah now he has a fleet of cars

Hey Adam, I noticed a strange this with your rear left wheel at 15:47 it looked as tho your wheel was either loose or buckled. it might just be me seeing things but I would check and see if it is or not if I was you. because you did say earlier in the video there was a strange feeling and noise coming from the wheels.
That’s about where my Evo 8 tuned as well man. 340whp/338tq. But with a stock 8 turbo. 93, 280 cams, bolt ons. Hoping to get close to 400 with a 9 turbo! Solid numbers for a V!

@adam, balancing is only vibration, the road noise your hearing is probably scalloping in your tyres, could also cause it to feel strange. If you run your hand around the surface/shoulder of the tyre it will feel wavey or uneven instead of smooth. :)
Just a hint of advice - stock rods on those evo 5 to 6 won't bare as much punishment as the newer 8 or 9 evos. Running close to 400hp engine power you are starting to hit the limit of the rods. Usually cylinder 3 or 4 bents a rod or makes a new "window" to the block. I have a evo 6 myself and oh boy those rods are tiny. Keep on trucking!

I must say that the Evo 5 is one of the better evo's and I do like this one. I think the Evo 5 is better than the Evo X (10). How long before Adam has a Tablet plugged in to the ECU and mounted on the dash!
I tend to disagree. It makes very little torque down low in the powerband on that dyno graph, not like a V8 at all. My Speed3 is setup for 390/385 @ the wheels and is actually neutered to not make too much torque down low, by comparison; but it can easily put down >300wtq before 3k rpms; much more V8-like. Of course turbo selection is a big factor, too.
i get what ur saying but.. when he is gettin it he will never be below 4k rpm.. in that regard starting at 4k his tq is high as high as it can get just like a V8 would be when it powers out.. VS something like a honda motor or wind out motor that uses more momentum of the HP than the grunt of the tq so usually have flat low tq curves but but very linear power band
Stock 560cc injectors starting to lean out at 300 whp on the newer Evos. Evo 2-3 have 510cc and they can handle up to 280 whp. So it is not weird that the car was leaning out at 322 whp.
Yo Adam whenever you get "fresh gas" you can always ask the gas attendant when they got their last delivery of fuel. Some places go thru fuel extremely fast while other stations have it sitting in the tank for weeks.

As a Subaru owner I find it annoying how easy you made power in this thing lol I have similar mods on my Subaru (2015 sti turbo, 255 fuel pump, 650cc dw injectors, intake, bigger inter cooler and more) and make like 300whp and I’ve already had ringland failure once and my transmission blew 3rd gear last year
Ilikeboost I’ve owned it for 5 years and have done a lot of work on the car, and I’m too attached lol. Right now I’m just waiting till I finish college and then buying a 350z, I don’t drive the Subaru much anymore though
Buy an Evo X if you can find one man it is so so much easier to make power if that's what you are gunning for. Just bought a 2019 STI the evo is def far less comfortable if you can live with it
Should of gotten a bigger turbo to make it not push 28 psi.. Adam thinks pressure is power, why not crank it to 35 psi and see how much power it makes blowing hot air
Have you ever autocrossed before? You're almost always in 2nd 3rd & 4th gear. You're almost always gonna be in the higher rev range, so peak power at 5k isn't that bad.
That's not about efficiency, that's about flow rate. Power actually peaks ~5,500, which means he needs a turbo that is rated for more lbs/min. As someone who's tuned, I can tell you that you cannot say whether or not a turbo is out of its efficiency based on a dyno graph alone; far too many factors involved, and you need to look at the actual telemetry and cross-reference the compressor map to do so. It is certainly clear, however, that he's out of turbo by 5.5k.
I knew it! I knew this car would make at least 320 to the wheels on 93. 346/351 are impressive numbers. I figured it would probably make in the ballpark area of the 330's but it did even better. I'm sure you could hit 450 to the wheels on E85 with the EVO 8 turbocharger. It would make sense to throw on a higher rated turbocharger. MAPerformance EF2.5 is good for 500 to the wheels on E85 and the EF3 is good for 550 on E85 and that's mustang dyno numbers. Plus they are stock frame turbochargers. Forced Performance also makes quality products. You can go with their EVO IX 71HTA CHRA turbocharger which has an option for an EVO 8 install kit. If you want to go the JDM route, you could buy a HKS GTII 7460R KAI. All four turbochargers would be fun to use and I am pretty sure they all fit EVO 4-9's.
