You can really tell almost NO ONE lab Lili. Nobody anticipated that Lili will be picked in this tournament. Excellent choice by Chikurin! It was too clean of a win!
well it should’ve been obvious considering Chikurin is THEE top Lili player and he pretty much refuses to play anyone else, like a true Lili main. Didn’t care for him at first bc I thought he was just tier-whoring but nope he stuck with Lili till the end!
@@malakadil that I do agree with. The Tekken scene needs the Pakistani players to be atrractive. A big Tekken tournament without any Pakistani players is just boring. Yes...Chik won with a very nice Lili..that I do agree but I also think he knows he was looking at a confrontation with at least 1 Pakistan challenger.
@@LongjoyNl Joka just won Baaz Gauntlet so... He trains in the UK region... Joka looked good but I think it's pretty clear that Chikurin is #1 right now. Can't wait for Evo Vegas. Hopefully everyone we hope to see gets visas and gets to come.
@@dacatindahat8275 Joka won using a character that hasn't changed much from T7, got STRONGER in T8 and strangely enough always seems to avoid (major) nerfs especially when you look at the fact he has got an answer for practically everything. He and Law were the big winners in the latest patch. On top of that...the competition in Pakistan was much than @ Evo...Something you also need to acknowledge. In my opinion Evo JPN should be relocated to Pakistan cause from what I understood...reason no Pakistani's were present in JPN was because the JPN embassy got relocated to another location making it difficult for Pakistani's to travel towards it. For the outside world it's much easier to obtain a visa to travel to Pakistan..but for the pakistani's themselves it's too difficult to travel to the embassy let alone obtain the necessary visa. Like I said...Tekken NEEDS the pakistani's...they've showcased their skills @ Baaz tournament and it was more brutal than what we've seen @ Evo JPN.
L opinion.... How is Lili broken? Compared to what Azucena, Dragunov, Victor and Feng can do, Lili is relatively balanced... You barely see any Lili players in ranked
Calling Lili broken takes away from what Chikurin has achieved by taking evo japan with a mid tier to low-high tier character... He was the only lili player
@@shaheerahmed1056 there are a lot of lili players online. And what chikurin did was abuse her coin flip stance that is akin to xiao’s hypnotist. Lili has insane sidestep, incredible tracking and homing to keep her opponents in place to force her mixups, and has very good oki pressure. Lili plays Tekken 8 insanely well. Any character that forces coin flip on block is very mentally draining on the opponent and lili does just that. Something the other characters you mentioned only get situational.
The character variety for this Top 6 is interesting, to say the least. I thought there would have been more Dragunovs that would have made it into the final bracket.
If you want to see true master Steve, watch Nauman Chaudhry win both the last 2 Pakistani Tekken Tournaments. He took down Arslan in Grand Finals of last 1. Dude is #1 Steve Fox in world right now.
I am a Lili main ever since her release and this makes me happy Idk why. 😅 First time to see Lili champion an international tournament this big. Now I am getting motivated to play rank now at Raijin. Gimme wisdom Chikurin haha.
Lmao carried all the way to Raijin 😂 what you happy for, thos evo exposes yall as carried frauds. You wouldn't get to battle ruler on an honest character
@@omegaweapon116 she has so many strong safe entry tools that lead to follow ups or full combos and with some of the mot cracked move in the game she is uniquely privileged in easy options to avoid alot of mixes other characters gotta eat. In a game where pressure is the goal, she can punish you heavily for trying to apply pressure to her and if you are in her pressure she can not only lock you down but put yu negative into 50/50s where if you do mash your launched and if you don't mash but guess wrong your launched and if she doesn't press an option you whiff. She is freaking nuts. I've played a couple tekken God lilis and then got smoked and went to the lab and I was like oh if I had the read and perfect reactions I can take my turn back. If I don't I die, or I can react to this perfectly and step it but if I don't step enough I die, she can also use X to track me and knock me down into a range she has significant advantage in. She is kinda busted and I been saying that since release and "moar skilled" players just kept saying "she is mid low tier bro just learn the match up" I tried bro it's and uphill battle against that hoe. It isn't like drag where if you know his stringe and react to tackle and step wr2 he really isn't that difficult to handle. A perfect Character but not misleading to fight. She is so etch an sketch interaction design dude he moves are goofy ahhh and strong.
Ah yes, the mastermind who control Japan’s political scene: Chikurin. Maybe you should fix your country first if you want to improve your players’ visa power.
they were playing the game t7 they used to, they didntt use the heat feature in moost round.they brought nothing new to the game may be get evolved in near future ..but chiku deserves tto win he came close to finals many times
@@user-vj1yd9ot5u i used to watch chikurin san streaming and he is playing with arcade stick but now he is playing with gamepad, i need to know what gamepad hes playing with
Chikurin has been playing and practicing with Lili since Tekken 8 CNT, CBT, and when it officially released. I’m really glad it paid off. Hoping he wins it all this year. Unless stupid Bandai Namco nerfs Lili. Always been the case with BN. Nerfing characters that win in championship tournaments, except Kunimitsu and Zafina which were Arslan’s characters from T7. Japan needs to regain the crown again.
A wise guy once said: " Even though Lili players are degenerates, they have the best Tekken fundamentals" this was stated 3 years ago and im just quoting, not saying Chikurin is a degenerate, he's extremely good.
This is the final off a big tournament o.O damn that was dissapointing, like seeing two people in takken 1-2 who didn't have a clue how to play. none off them blocks anything, their entire dmg is by air joggling... man that's just sad... i am reminded off a vid where 2 characters in a fighter game does a 20 seconds series off same attacks in a tourny; and they cancel each other out, it looks damn cool; properly the coolest show off fighter game skill ive seen; thats what i kinda expected when looking for how the new tekkens top play (after not seeing it since T3 xD soo loong time)
Commentators did their best but man it must be hard hyping a game that is the opposite of hype. Lets hope Bamco makes a lot of changes cause I'd rather see T7 at this point.
from what I saw the only thing wrong here is it was so one-sided. I'm not sure what to contribute that to e.g. player skill diff, character strength etc
@@silenthicksDo you play tekken?T8 many moves have plus frames, most moves have insane tracking. Heat smash has no weakness. Every character is 50:50 guess button mash fest.
Lili's movement is exactly how you deal with oppressive characters like Dragunov - but the craziest thing about this is the devs giving only Lili this type of movement
Wasn’t Tekken 7 butt juice when it first dropped? People already writing it off give it time if any fighting game knows how to improve over time it would be Tekken they literally improved drastically during T7
This is correct. They had a long arcade period also to refine it before it came out on console. This is still what would historically be the arcade phase. It'll take a year or so of refinement before it approaches any kind of balance. With the new mechanics though... who knows. It think it would be amazing without heat... I think a huge chunk of the fan base thinks so to
@@dacatindahat8275 yeah honestly I could do without heat take it or leave it I play Lars and honestly he is already really solid without it so I’m chilling either way
tekken 8 grandfinals looks more like a purple rank match in tekken 7, one loses momentum and gets completly destroyed. Almost no tense moments and they are the best players
that's basically tekken 8, there's a reason why it got a surge of popularity on casual players. Sadly, you have to mash but of course with a plan because the moment you go unsafe you lose your turn.
Tekken 7 was a mash fest too, having a better back dash didn’t change it from being just a counter hit launcher fishing fest. Now if you said Tag2 or T5 maybe you’d have a point
Sorry the whole game isn't backdashing and waiting 40 seconds for a whiff punish. You literally have no clue about the frame data. Not everyone wants their most powerful tool to be running away.
