Gday Cliff, great addition to the workshop, great to see headway being made on the rebuild, won’t be long and you’ll be back in full swing mate, great review, cheers

Very nice, much better than trying to clamp and follow a straight edge. I like your face shield too. Take care.

Seems like a more efficient and accurate setup than what I usually do by clamping a 2x4 to the sheet of plywood, lol! I agree, MDF is messy stuff, I don't like playing with it if I have the choice.

Nice bit of kit Cliff 👍👍👍 A few years ago I had to make some panels for a bathroom, wish I'd had one of those!! Cheers, Alan.

A good honest review Cliff. Evolution gear is pretty good by all accounts, and I've seen some pretty good reviews and demonstrations of their multi purpose saw blades. They are very impressive. It looked as if the saw got tight on the track towards the middle? I'd just run a candle over the track slot to make it smiley smooth, just as you would a hand plane really looking forward to the cupboard builds

Hi Cliff interesting video, wonderful bit of kit. I have never found a hoover nozzle which fits the dust collector on a tool, it is really irritating having to use plastic bottles or waste pie bits as adapters for the adapters. Keep up the good work.

Came here for the saw review - I've heard others say the dust extraction on the Evolutions isn't great. This is the first video where someone's using one of those full face masks. What are your thoughts on them? Any good? I'm getting tired of goggles/glasses misting up when worn with an ordinary mask.

Cheers, I like the mask, well better than goggles and paper one, really never been able to function with that set up, but so far this mask has been much better. ATB, Cliff

I just brought this today. but with the 1400mm track. Found the 3 piece track not to be that stright with some fiddling to do to get it 95% stright

Tracks are a bit of an acquired skill when it comes to wrangling the shop vac hose and cable. I noticed you got snagged with both there Cliff. Evolution appear to make inexpensive tools with a reasonable build quality. I've been meaning to get one of their mitre saws for a while now. It would be nice if there was a mitre body with a detachable saw for long work and tracks. Not sure a 185mm model would be suitable, so a larger blade model might be better. It would certainly make for a nice shop project to build. Then again, is the shop there for making things, or making more tools? Good to see the shed taking shape again.

I've been making more tools for two and a half years now since I rebuilt my shed and got a lathe/mill combo installed !

Glad your back Cliff but why not get it cut at the supplier? I get mine cut perfectly at Selco and then easy to put on roof rack and no dust just cut to length at home.

Does this saw have a 20mm arbor bore? So none of my Diablo 5/8" bore 7-1/4" or other saw blades will work? Am I stuck only using Evolution saw blades ?

Hi Cliff I am writing this about your Maximat V 10 lathe videos. I just bought one a few moths ago , it is in pretty good shape. It also has every accessory available at that time. Some tooling has never been used and some still in the original box. I want to sell some of it but have done some research but haven’t come up with much has far has prices . It was bought in 1971. Do you have any site info that I could use. Thank you so much. Jim

Love to see you using proper breathing protection... particularly with MDF... BUT why on earth do you take it off and promptly breath in all that MDF dust? Made me giggle! Your review does show the huge difference between a circular saw on a track and a plunge saw. The latter is far far far better at dust control. If you are cutting up stuff like MDF then a plunge saw and track is by far the better option. Nice simple review though.

It really doesn’t hurt to read the manual. I’ve been designing industrial machinery for many years, and I still read manuals. I don’t get the masculinity crisis so many RU-vidrs have.
