Evolve lost their directions of "leading the market". At the days, their boards were unique and gave us no option. But now? There are so many other options and evolve is still there while all the other competitors are catched up already and probably passed them... Please evolve... Dont be the second boosted board and if you cant lead anymore...atleast lower the price.

I completely agree that you articulated the features and performance of the Evolve Bamboo and Carbon GTR Boards better than Evolve did, and better than any other channel. Thanks to you, the dilemma was solved and I bought the Bamboo GTR first. Then, also a credit to you, I bought the Carbon GTR a year later. Since I bought from Evolve Asia, there was no way to credit you with the referral, but both my GTR boards are a credit to you. Thanks for all your hard work!

The m5 is only $100 aud cheaper than the base bamboo hadean, which makes it alot harder to justify buying your board because it's very similar spec, has a basic remote, no built in break lights, and any problems I may have are alot harder to deal with because you are overseas. That being said if you are in the UK and are looking for a new board, at this stage it seems stupid to even think about buying the hadean over the m5

Hadean are pretty but expensive. I wish you guys could just sort things out with Evolve and you can still have a good relationship.

It’s just a gathering of parts made in China being sold by manufacturers. It doesn’t take a genius to do that. My first go board is a custom mountain board and the top speed is 65 and the range is 60-80 km. All top speck parts all for $1600 pounds.

Guys, completely love your channel, however not sure your view on the Evolve situation is completely fair. So Evolve should of called you….did you ever call them to make them aware you were associated/involved in setting up a rival company with a website modelled directly on theirs…. Always 3 sides to a story, yours, theirs and somewhere in the middle is the truth.

I hope Unknownboards does well and grows so that they can start producing their own bespoke components, like decks or even trucks.

I live in Australia and I also bought a Evolve GTR Carbon less than 2 months ago based primarily off your reviews. I Even bought new bushings and spare parts for it a few weeks ago based off your video reviews as they were the most in depth and explained everything perfectly. I was a bit upset that the new boards are now coming out so soon after buying the GTR and I was going to upgrade to the Hadeon because i feel the gtr is no where near as fast as i was expecting (doesnt help that im around the 100kg mark), but after this video. I think unforunately as much as I would love to get the hadeon board, i might need to look at something else as im not a fan of how it seems they have treated you guys. It almost seems like Evolve's Ego is getting way to big and starting to step all over the little guys that helped build their brand. I do love supporting Australian companies though after watching this video, I think i'll be looking at other options. Does the M5 ship to Australia? =) keep up the great videos guys.

Just subscribed. Great vid guys. I started off on a Bamboo GTR and outgrew it as well. Still fun for local cruises to the shops but yeah moved onto better things. Pass them off. Easy to assume that Evolve has biased their vids. You dont want them to be able to say the same thing.

That's what I've been talking about. 3000.00 US dollars for a board that is only 4mph faster and goes 4 miles farther on AT wheels. I'll keep my GTR.

Have a Boosted Stealth (beside Onsra and GTR), and I still enjoy riding it, cause it is so different from the others. Single Kingpin, so flexy, stylisch, feels more like normal Longboard crusing. Looking to swap the motors on the GTR. So it might be faster than the Hadean :3

Guys, sorry but you aren’t 100% right. Don’t forget that this is their business and if you want to be in the same business you will be competitors.

Those who are surprised over their attitude clearly haven’t seen their “China-board” hit piece video, where they essentially went after exway. However, I do have to give it to evolve with their LEDs. I really wish more boards had brake lights built into them. It’s partially why I really want the exway wave. Plus I just like LEDs and “bling” on E boards in general. Would never pay $3000+ for that though.

There’s a lot of people in the esk8 community that don’t like you inc myself but it is what it is, I’m not an evolve fan boy but they’ve come out with a great product, refined, light weight, looks like it’s been thought out and everything is not borrowed from another company, price could be better but it’s still decent

25:10 you we're talking about boards that evolve sent that we're out fucked, I bought my stoke online and received a broken remote straight out of the box, it had scratches on it, looked like it had been used, and dropped, did a trigger rest 3 times and the accelerator was stuck on and I almost sent my board flying into oncoming traffic. On day 1. And I live in Brisbane Australia. Less than 2 hours away from their headquarters in the gold coast. How does this happen?

Looked at a few other boards but still decided to go with the hadean: quality, service, design, looks… I didn’t really care whether other boards did a few percent more speed or less weight because the overall evolve package is really top notch

Just about to get me a board - my first....i was looking at an evolve amongst other things but i do read more and more about their attiude sucking a bit.....and at the same time found your channel and, you make a board....just waiting for payday...visited your site...a question - do you take paypal? or are you planning to?

Honestly, their new board looks fucking sick. The reason I won't get it is because I had a bad experience on a gtr with an esc melting and the board chucked me. I think they don't use high enough quality components to justify the price. I really like how they redesigned the remote to be super tough, that's a huge thing. I'm gunna miss that evolve remote....not when braking at speed mind you, braking above 30k on the evolve remote is sketchy, but the speedometer and percentage battery reader are awesome. The form factor of the board is also excellent. All in all they have nice boards, but it's true, they are overpriced. would rather spend more and get true quality.

Post them both to me in New Zealand, I’ll go on a road trip, test them both , give the best fair review , beach riding , hill climbing.

You can get an ecomobl m24 with 4 motors and full suspension for the same price as evolves new line up of boards and that goes 35mph so just mind blowing

I spent a long time deciding on which electric skateboard ro purchase for my first ever. Your videos were instrumental on my decision to purchase a bamboo gtr. I must say I am disappointed with Evolve I have contacted them for advice and they have not replied. So much for fantastic customer service. I personally will now never buy from them again. If only your unknown boards were available when I pulled the trigger 😑

Daniel Kwan, a reviewer, also thinks Evolve is overpriced. I think as more reviewers get more exposure to different boards, Evolve doesn't seem to have the competitive advantage to warrant the price

the old remotes when u would drop them they would break or say to recalibrate them also do u think u will review the propel boards

It's so tuff watching this while having built a monster DIY esk8!! I have brands that deserve there shout outs but damn it feels good not being a part of evolve or boosted.. Even backfire but I have always been a lone wolf always will.. Every board he has had a problem mine not 1 I had a grub screw back out that's it!!! Brand free is the way to be free kids pay attention..

holy shit finally some one noticed i have snapped 4 bamboo decks and freid 4 gtr esc's and bent like 5 pairs of trucks the battery has the worst 18650 cell and always never really gave me the range i wanted even the gtr was over priced the gt's should have been gtrs i just finally went diy buy dear god evolve wtf are you doing edit: i fried 3 gtr batterys bms was done and 650 was very overpriced

I previously had the stoke and then got the flex, I sold the stoke as overall preferred the flex which was £300 cheaper, I've done 900 miles on the flex with no issues at all! although I have slightly outgrown it now, but it is still an awesome board for the price point... looking for my next purchase. Will you guys be reviewing the atlas? The 2WD is around $1500.. do you not think this is good value for money?

Socal Legends is a really nice guy who works with evolve. He understands that electric skateboards is more of a community and it doesn't matter which board you really ride as long as you ride. Though his evolve boards are pretty sick just IMO.

What about a 1 day blowout of all the boards on the market summer 2021? Get all of the boards you can and rip around on each for 5-10 min and give 1st impressions, classify them, and talk about the trade offs above and below $ range. That keeps you from spending days on a bunch of similar kit.

Review the evolve board yourself. Then pass it off for another review also.

I'm Australian and want to desperately support Evolve but the more I learn about this company, the more I distance myself from them. Dodgey remote disconnects, uncalled for and misleading comparison video with competing eskate brand, overpriced products and now finding out about how disrespectful they treat their loyal affiliates. It's a shame. Evolve going the way of Boosted. Sucks but not too much since Evolve are manufactured in China (would've been worse if it affected Australian manufacturing). P.S. I just subscribed. I own a Onsra,beast board,verral rs and a Gtr. I’ve heard a lot of bad things about Gtr but I’ve never had any problems yet. The other 3 board can beat gtr only in a straight line , but when I go riding with my 3 boys and I’m on a the Gtr though winding bike tracks for 20km they can never keep up with me. Why because Gtr has awesome braking when you get good at it and really quick take off and it carve corners like nothing . 40k-50k is fast enough on winding tracks and way more fun then just going straight all the time. Even my boys prefer Gtr because of the carving, hard braking and quick acceleration .

You can buy an old bajaboard s2-900 model for 3200. I bought the new Atrax. Once you guys ride bajaboard, you will never go back to other boards. Goes 37mph+. The Enduro model goes 60 miles on a single charge. I have a gtr but I will still keep it cause it is super carvy and I use it as a backup when out and about on tripa

Just curious, do you guy still plan on a Trampa review, or has that idea pretty much gone out the window? Was interested in a Trampa and wanted to hear your guys thoughts on the actual board (Bad customer service aside.)

I’m on the market now here in Canada for a new Board. I’ve had the meepo so I’m experienced. The bamboo gtr is 1400 Canadian dollars. What’s your thoughts on just the normal gtr in 2022. For that price I feel like it might be the best quality board and best specs. Let me know what you guys think.

Their “new” board hasn’t changed much, construction looks cheaper than the GTR, it just has a bit more power.

For me the flux looks way better actually. But I get they are potentially quite different boards.

I noticed with there selling of the new board, half of the video was the ruddy controller. I wish they thought of this when they made the gtx and the gtr. Good job this new deck is well overpriced, trampa and baja will have more custom and that will lower their costs and will make it more inviting for us guys on a budget. You can purchase a trampa and baja for less than the hayden and have change for a weekend away and that's the truth.. P.s. If I always take your word with everything you say, then other's must too.

Did you get your m5 while you were Evolve ambassador? That would be a good reason for Evolve to be upset.

Bought the m5 back in March and I thought I had a great rapport with Chris+ Ricky. Several delivery dates came and went but NO PROBLEM, I really believe in what they are trying to do. I've dropped 4 emails recently no hassling just trying to find out delivery date. No replies totally ghosted. I'm worried now, has anyone heard if they've gone out of business?

I'm from Australia and was a huge supporter of Evolve not only for Eskate but for being an Australian company succeeding in something other than the normal. After watching your video and seeing how disappointing the new boards specs I'm so dissapointed in their ethics and just pure greed. The Hadeon should be the same price as the current GTR models and they should have had a price drop. Even then I'm not convinced. Good video guys and keep up the good work!

I totally agree the price is too high, its a sleek looking board but the specs and performance doesn't justify the amount they are asking for.

The only good thing I can say about evolve is their packaging, AT wheels, and having a phone number that works. I used their phone line to get refund though lol. That company straight up scammed me and I am glad I got my bank involved.

Chris, it’s creating confusion when you state the M5 is Rickys, then you go on for the rest of the video comparing Evolve to “our” board.

In Aust I can get an AT bamboo Hadean for $AU3,000. An M5 converted from GBP is over $AU2,700 before shipping. A MetroboardX was going to be just under $4,000. I think I will get a Hadean as an upgrade to my GTR since I live in a hilly area and need the power. I don’t care about the top speed. My experience with Evolve customer service has been great, and parts have always been available and ship quickly. I’ve only had one issue with the board that was quickly fixed. The Evolve boards seem to be priced a lot higher overseas than here.

Evolve has changed. In the beginning it was about the ride and the carve. Now they've grown as a company and it's all about the money. I'm lucky enough to live in Australia where Evolve's prices are the cheapest in the world but I notice things like accessories and shipping going up in price for no apparent reason other than to make more money. And then there's money grabs like limited edition hubs.

Evolve remotes are death traps. They know that.

3300 is way too much. 1300 extra for an maximum extra 15km range and another 2kph on the 107 gtr set up. Its at the point where ill keep my gtr for street wheels and pay double the hayden for a lacroix lonestar supersport. 55mph top speed and up to 160km range. also took a leaf from bioboards and running gears instead of belts. In this game MORE IS MORE. keep up the vids boys. I got the stoke originally and traded up to the gtr all from your feed back. I literally bought my board from the gold coast showroom because of yous. Thanks guys for the unbiased opinions👍🏾

I bought my carbon gtr because of this channel. My carbon gtr has been back to evolve 5 times in 6 months for new motors. If I had have known the board would be this unreliable I would have bought a summerboard.

That sucks you guys have been treated that way. I totally relied on all of your reviews about the GTR and studied them closely before handing over the cash to buy a carbon GTR. I am avoiding the Hadean mostly because of price and the slight increase in specs of the new board. It's amazing how a knee jerk reaction from a company like this can bring on so much bad PR.

Basically it looks like the problem began as a communication issue from Evolves end. I’ll give you a small tip. I don’t know if it’s a guy thing that’s universal to blokes in general in the human race, but Australian men are generally crap communicators about everything. So what you’ve said about them at least having the courtesy to shoot you an email to let you know the situation and that they were looking at ending the referral program would be what you’d expect. But you’re dealing with Australians. As an Aussie that has fair communication skills, I’ve experienced issues of failures in communication a lot over here when dealing with my countrymen.

If you were looking for a reviewer to make a review on the two boards you mentioned in the video I think you should definitely hit up Daniel Kwan he’s an Asian Eskate reviewer and makes some of the best videos on the subject. He looks at the boards in a very objective way and has mentioned that he wants to do a review of the Hadeon but wont buy it.

Finally some sense. Echo all that was said. Really looking forward to seeing how the M5 goes, looks a complete beast of a board for about a grand GBP less than Haedon!

By the time I change my Australian dollars over to get your m5 it’s only $400 cheaper than the harden for us down here in Australia without shipping or customs fees as I’m looking for a replacement for my gtx that I’ve had for 3 years and now the battery is draining really fast and evolve Australia are up themselves big time but $2999 or $2678 before exchange fees customs import fee and shipping so I think you be around the same price down here

I think it’s clear that Evolve use their ambassador program as an advertising channel rather than something to build relationships with the community… unless you say what they want you to say… you aren’t of any use to them anymore. When you get a Hadean though I’d love to see the “PREMIUM POWER” Vs the Exway Atlas “China Board”
