Yes because they are subject to high ripple currents. That causes heating and dries up the electrolyte.

@@vintagelover3873 It is good that the power supply are compatible between some models. You might want to check the capacitors in the power supplies, they are likely to have gone bad with age.

Hi, do you have another power supply, I want to buy from you because I'm struggling with mine and it keeps shorting out. Only in series through a bulb works!

@@stiliandiakov3549 What things have you done so far? Replace all the capacitators, especially the smaller electrolytics on the primary side. I am not sure if I have any of these power supplies in a good reliable condition, where the capacitors were replaced properly. Either they are just hanging on or they already blown.

It will be fairly similar and probably shares some of the same components. I can't say if it is the same without investigating that. You could check the parts in the service manual.

@@Elecami I'm confused, because some forums say the NV F70 has a G, while others say it's a G2 mechanism.

@@shimanosv9143 It probably is G2, since it is a newer model.

Probably not. Shipping it would be a hassle and I don't have time to work on other machines.
