What strikes me most is his humility. His portrayal of Jesus is different but very effective for today viewers. Especially the many Catholics that are "sitting on the fence." Lord knows this was solely needed. Thank you so much 😇

I can't get enough of this. I binged the first season, and quickly moving through the second. This actor is top notch. He still maintains his role as an actor trying to do the role as best possible, and it's such a bonus that he lives his Catholic faith as well. I think he's the best portrayal of Jesus I've ever seen, and that includes the outstanding performance of Jim Kavisel, (which I realize on fairness was a very condensed portion of Jesus). Bravo Mr. Roumie, you do us Catholics proud. Much love and blessings upon you.

When I first watched The Chosen I thought Jonathan was Jewish and it suits me well . When I found out Jonathan was Catholic I praised our Lord because I saw a sign of God to our Church to not loose hope . Yes Catholic Church shall redeem . Amen !

Regarding Mother Mary, my favorite scene was in season two when Mary talked about baby Jesus needing her, when He was cold, crying.

Wonderful uplifting interview. Thank you. I have watched every Jesus movie over my lifetime but never has the depiction of Jesus been more powerfully portrayed than in The Chosen. There are scenes in the series when Jonathan’s reforestation off Jesus is heart stopping. I no longer see Jonathan but only Jesus and my heart swells with love for Jesus and how humble I am in his Devine presence. Jonathan Jesus is well pleased with you for bringing him to us with so much depth and truth. What a gift to us all is The Chosen. 🙏🙏

Thank you Jonathan for your roles in this great series. One thing I would like to emphasize is your depiction on the wedding of Channa. This event in the Living Word has profound signifigance and must be expanded on. It is multi-facited. It depicts Jesus's first miracle, His first documented social outing, Jesus in a family context but most importantly, it tells us that Jesus cannot refuse His Mother anything. And it is this communication/action that cements the basis of how we, as Catholics, pray and move and breath this belief in the rosary, the Mass, our whole prayer life. Jesus can refuse His Mother nothing. Wow! Jesus so wants to show us how much He loves His Mother, honors her, wants to put her out front. This mystery is becoming more apparent as we move forward in these troubling times.

just stumbled across this interview in my RU-vid feed, this evening... as a Catholic I haven't really gone out of my way to catch any of the 'Chosen' series... afraid I would be frustrated by too much of a Protestant bias... wish I would have caught this when it was posted 1½ yrs ago... now that I know it has Dr Hahn's 'imprimatur' 😂 I have a lot of catching up to do !!

I just found out that Jonathan speaks French in a interview with the French band "glorious". He speaks very well.

Watching Jonathan being interviewed abot this role is always amazing because of his approach to the way he portrays our lord, and the way the human person of Mary is included in the chosen I think gives us a fresh insight as to why she too was chosen, humility and looking to obey, and honour the father's will began her journey, the fulfilment of that on earth is her continued obedience and honour to her son whom she knows is the lord and his honouring of her as his mother who bore him and has cared for him and has not stopped caring for him even though he is now fulfilling his purpose on earth (in the show), she is still his mother............and has become the her, mentor, carer to the disciples and others. I know in an interview Dallas said he was concerned about his depiction of Mary and it's implications for Catholics and I think he's doing a marvellous job at bringing out her humanity and her future role when she is honoured in heaven.

The writers are students of the Holy Bible and led by the Holy Spirit 🙌 The Spirit continues to work in the hearts and minds of those who view The Chosen. Could I be chosen? Would Jesus say to me "Follow Me" ? YES, YES --- Mary is not to be worshipped, only Jesus saves and heals. I was raised a Catholic, got confirmed---now I consider myself a child of God, married a Pastor, serve God in Mexico. Great evangelism tool. God gives us all a gift to use for His glory. Jonathan thank you for your commitment and heart for Jesus. AMEN

I see this movie as a first step to the unity of the Christians. God does not work in flashy ways but rather in obscure ways, and it’s up to us, through the Holy Spirit, to see God working. Jenkins is a good soul and I believe that God chose this crew and the actors to work through them in the way of unity. I didn’t hear any Protestant making comments about Jonathan, the sweetest man on earth. May God bless him and Dallas and and all the actors. I believe that it is hard to take other roles on the screen after playing religious roles and specially Jesus’ role. “ May they be one as we are one.”✝️✝️✝️🙏🙏🙏

I am not Jewish or Catholic. I was introduced to Jesus when I was 5. I ask questions and with the answers I received, I determined I wanted to give my young life to him! I went through the struggles that life brings, and I experimented with self serving choices, and I sabatoge different parts of my life, but I knew Jesus, And I wanted to please him, but I had so much to learn! I am so thankful for his forgivness, and for the relationship that has grown, and I love him more than I ever knew possable! It is a relationship and a process, and I am thanlful for All of it, and for this beautiful series that relates the scriptures in such a wonderful way! Thank you very much for this interview…I knew about THE CHOSEN series when the first two episodes of the season three came out to the theaters…I when to see it on a Sunday after mass, and it was the first time I go to the movies by myself. I stopped going to the movies, since I don’t want to offend our Lord anymore by watching any kind of drama, fiction or something like it; THE CHOSEN really got me into it 😊now I’m so exited waiting to see the last episodes of the season three, obviously after watching the entire previous seasons. Thanks to the producers and the actors OMG WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PERFORMANCE!!!GOS BLESS YOU GUYS 🙏🏻

Thank you Jonathan for being who you are stepping in faith with your talent s and abilities to pray the rosary and the divine mercy chaplet and general reading of scripture s as a outreach to Catholic s that you invited them and others from non dinomination s church s and fallen away Catholic s to pray along with you. That was so generous of you of your time and set up for You Tube , and other media uses. As you were familiar with those technologies to serve God and His people. That step in Faith is so beautiful and definitely appreciated during times of COVID when prayer was so needed as churches were closed and priests were limited due to illness and shortage of priests. You were the Link to hold it together for those needing extra prayers with another person while in home , and limited transportation use. Due to injury of knees . And pain. It has kept prayer life growing and spiritual healing and growth continue. As a role model for others also , hopefully more men of faith and answer God's call to become Come follow me as God calls them! With open heart's.😁🙏❤️😇😇😇and holy angels assistance as well.
