I have been a distant Catholic, not attending mass or praying anymore. Separate from my God. Because of the Chosen, I have renewed my faith, gone to confession, praying and crying and reconnecting with Christ Jesus and feeling so blessed to be back. Trying to live a holy life, as God asks me to. Bless you young Jonathan. When I count my blessings, I count you twice.

When this man, Jonathan Roumie, portrays Jesus in "The Chosen," he is the only man who played the part as I so much wanted. As a human "man." A man who lived, laughed and loved. A few weeks after my father passed away, I was having a difficult time dealing with the fact that the last conversation that we had was an argument. I was listening to this video, and of all the names that you could have used in the example of the woman who came up to you for comfort and a sign that things would be ok, you used my name. I cannot tell you how much comfort that "sign" gave me. God is Good Thank you for sharing this story.

Jonathan, you and Dallas have brought Jesus to all man kind in a realistic and honest manner. I have learned so very much about Jesus and can now understand the Bible. I've devoured every episode multiple times. I grab my Bible and can follow along the scriptures and the meaning and strength of the verse jumps off the page for me. I surfed with a young man that looked like Johnathan. He was deaf. We never spoke but communicated with smiles as we traded waves. At one point he look to the sky, blew a kiss and then brought his hands together in prayer. It was a wonderful surf and profound for me. A sign.

This speech was touching and good example of how God can use each of us, if we react to others with love instead of fear, and meet them on the level ground at the foot of the cross. The first time I had ever heard about the ministry of presence, I was working at a home for pregnant women in Phoenix, AZ. I learned that in those moments when someone is in need of attention and compassion, God is calling us to act in His Stead and demonstrate to that person that they matter. That what they are going through matters and the best thing that we can offer them in those moments is our full and undivided attention. It was a powerful lesson that I have not forgotten and was gently reminded of listening to Mr. Roumie. God bless you and the St. Paul Center.

Ah, I learned of this reading Mother Teresa’s books, and actually from someone I was engaged to. He said he always strove to be present with whomever he was with. In the former, it was a true godly blessing. In the latter, he admitted to me that that was how he had hidden his extramarital affair before he repented. @@LeirbagFR Am a Catholic and am not aware that Catholics worship idols. We do use images for religious purposes but we certainly do not worship them. God never forbade correct use of religious images. Here are some biblical examples of religious use of images. Read: Numbers 21:8 The LORD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live." So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived. Exodus 25:18-19, God speaking to Moses again says, " And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends." That Catholics worship idols is a misconception. One can not know this truth without reading what the Catholic church actually teaches. We only worship the one true God in the consubstantial persons of the Holy Trinity. Meanwhile idols are not necessarily images but anything that makes us focus our energies on any thing other than God especially excessive love or misuse of things of this world which make us turn away from God like love for power, self, money, sex etc. Those are the idols many men and women are guilty of worshipping.

A prayer TO the Mother Mary? Idolatry! The Saturday Sabbath was changed to the venerable day of the Sun, Sunday, by the Roman Emperor, Constantine on March 7th, in the year 324 A.D., usurping Gods authority. He Needs our prayers... It's not that easy To Play the Role of Jesus. It's Both Spiritually and Mentally and Bodily Very Hard... Pray That He stands Firme. Cause this is going to be a Very Long Journey... Even Lord Jesus Was Tempted , How much More Jonathan needs our prayer Support.

Omgsh ! What a Spirit- filled talk ! I am a cradle catholic- antique! I’m 74 and Jonathan, your portrayal of Jesus made me love HIM even more! I’m a daily mass ‘kid’ now day 21 of covid and healthy for the most part- walking twice a day , doing Uber 500-600 miles a week to supplement my social security , retired Hospice nurse! I was sad today and maybe getting angry because I need to get back to work! Your talk helped me see- “He knows what He’s about”-Cardinal John Henry Newman I believe. Anyway, I’ll continue to offer up my covid recovery for my beloved Holy Souls and the conversion of sinners. God bless, protect and direct you on your phenomenal journey. 💒🙏

Beautiful reminder that we are ALL called to “be Jesus” to others... To let God work through us. And as Jonathan said, “Memento Mori”! We should live each day as if it were our last (as it could very well be) and ask ourselves (and the Holy Spirit) how we can serve God and those around us with the time He has graciously given us. If we did that every day, we’d live holier lives which was the very purpose of Memento Mori. Jonathan seems to be a very humble person but also very passionate about his faith. I always enjoy listening to him speak about it. May God bless him, the Hahns, and everyone at the St Paul Center as they continue to serve Him to the best of their abilities with with gifts they’ve been given! 🙏🏼 Thank you for sharing this with us! Kind of odd how that works. I too feel like I've been reading the bible & I do sometimes read along certain passages with the show, I just feel His presence. Like where is says when there are two or more of you speaking about Him, there are angels present, well I think watching the show is very close to this.

The Chosen has helped me through an awful time. I lost my daughter in Dec and I was so angry with God. These actors portrayals on the Chosen helped me to see that Jesus is real and present and understands all our sadness and faults. Such a wonderful show ❤
