I really like your art, beautifull, they make feel. What's the name of your style, with those big touches of brush, big "areas" of color? (Sorry for bad english)

Thanks. Big areas of color are kind of a hallmark of alla prima(wet-in-wet) painting. I wouldn't call it a "style" so much as a process of economic brushstrokes. I mean, it's not a look I'm outright going for but rather an artifact of my chosen way to paint.

Doesn't look like you used it in this painting but whats the perks of using the gel medium for painting over linseed oil+solvent? And do you apply it on the palette or just do a wash over the canvas?

Gel medium mixes into the paint on the palette. It softens the paint without making it soupy since it has body. Better for thick application.

Something like that. Just white, yellow, red, and black. Different pigments than Zorn used, though.

@@LarrivaArt it's an endless fascinating universe, the colour theory. I find when I paint with a few colours, it stops the overall picture straying and keeps it uniform. Your work reminds me of Sargent or repin.

Just one more question: what program did you use to create the transition through the mouth at the end? That was so so cool!!

I'm using Kdenlive, but any program with color key and motion keyframes would work. I keyed out the black in the mouth and the overlapping space photos to get the effect.
