I nearly choked on my coffee when you wiped it clean! Haha, sometimes you need that hard reset but i was so scared it was initially an accident

SO glad you took a step back and were patient with the process. It turned out great. Thanks for including that part, its certainly inspirational.

That masonite really wipes clean doesn't it

It's the shellac I primed with. I've never had anything wipe so clean.

You're a big inspiration to me- I love seeing all the videos you post! They're motivation for me to keep up with my own skills, especially since it's something I'm looking to pursue.. Your style is so amazing and amicable. Great job as always from a young art student!

Dude. hats off for real. I love that you included the do-over which is part of the process. i never even thought of using osb in this way, I guess it is naturally warm.

Also love how long you keep the brush fairly large.

Refreshing to watch a talented artist wipe off his canvass and start again.

Great work as always, do you add something to your paint? It's seem more fluid but at the same time opaque
@LarrivaArt
@LarrivaArt 5 лет назад
Thanks! I'm using a little walnut oil in the sketching phase and gel medium in the thicker parts.

Yo John great painting as always ! you might be able to avoid the lines from the camera if you change the frames per second it films at!
@LarrivaArt
@LarrivaArt 5 лет назад
Thanks Tommy! I need to experiment with that. The lines aren't very noticable in true speed.
@LarrivaArt
@LarrivaArt 5 лет назад
Ohhhh. Apparently you need to match the shutter to the Hertz of your power. For USA it's 60hrz so 1/60 shutter. I had it set at 1/50.
@thomasgolunski
@thomasgolunski 5 лет назад
LarrivaArt and yeah it can be to do with the shutter speed i have found I if I use a shutter speed of 25, 50 or 100 it stops the lines!

Not really. The skin on the nose and cheeks was tanned darker and the light was very soft, but I can see your point.
