Christine, This reminds me of the trip I took to San Francisco way back in 98. I also did Lombard street, Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf and China town. Plus the Alcatraz tour. It was beautiful there and so much fun! When I was there you couldn’t walk a block without seeing so many street performers with all different acts to show you. There was a man who 🐮 Mooed for money, a gold statue man who was completely still, a man with a cart and card tricks the list goes on. I wonder if you seen any street performers there? & I will never forget the feeling that the car would just tip over front bumper first while driving down Lombard Street: you’re not kidding it’s steep!! I don’t think any video can capture the true steepness of that road. You did great showing us around. ❤thank you!

You have such a warm, infectious smile. Appreciate the positivity. People get so down on the city online. SF definitely has it's issues and inequalities, but it's still a wonderful place with so much potential. And the views are totally beautiful. My sister has lived there for eight years and I want the best for her and her home. There really are some wonderful people living there.

Awesome. You got to see the big hits. Fort Point under the Golden Gate Bridge is free and there’s a spectacular view from the top level. DeYoung museum in Golden Gate Park is free for the lobby, backyard where there are some structural art and the tower from which you can view the park. It’s fun to see you out here!

lived there near the bridge.. Fort Point, Seal Rocks and Rockaway were my surf hangs.. the culture, food and public spaces are unsurpassable..Marin too.. never stopped pinching myself.. the beauty never leaves me.. "left my heart in San Francisco".. love your stoke.. 🤙❤️

So glad to see somebody with happiness and enthusiasm and gratitude. It made my day and I'm sure others as well. I feel like this country has been under a cloud for a few years now, and the excitement for living has been drained from the people. There has been so much bad news about the problems with San Francisco in the news (crime, breaking into cars, open air drug use, using the sidewalks as a bathroom), that I was thinking I would not go visit there unless things improved. Your video has me thinking that maybe the city I used to love to visit has a chance of a turn-around. Perhaps I will take some time and visit the city by the bay in the near future. It was a great video of a beautiful city. I wish you had more time to spend there. There is so much to see and do. Thanks for sharing your travels with us.

Don't know if you'll have a chance to spend more time in the area, but Berkeley Bowl is a must stop for anyone who appreciates good food. If you're lucky enough to get there on a weekend, there's a cool Thai "food stall" market at the temple not far from there. Be sure to go early because lines get crazy by late morning and run out not long after that. p.s. Once upon a time a bunch of us crazy kids got out a boom box and danced Argentine tango at the Palace of Fine Arts. I used to inspect commercial properties throughout the city, so one of the perks was grabbing lunch in various stops and parking at scenic stops like what you did. Some of the best less touristy Chinese foodie stops are by Geary or Inner Sunset. And Nijiya Market in Japantown offers some good sushi deals that are surprisingly fresh for a supermarket.

I love visiting San Francisco! If it's for work, or not, it doesn't matter, just a great city and area!! Thanks very much for sharing! Been too long since I've been over the Golden Gate Bridge. Alcatraz is worth a visit, but definitely take a friend/family member with you on that tour. For me, it was a flashback to where my Dad worked, no not at Alcatraz, but he worked at a state VA hospital in Massachusetts that was built the same time as Alcatraz prison. Lots of similarities in the design and materials used. The self guided audio tour is great! Just make sure to hold on to your hat when on the ferry. Haha.

California is my home. Though I’m from SoCal I lived near San Fran for a few years. I now live in Oklahoma. 😢 watching this brought back so many memories. It is my home and I miss it deeply. I may have cried watching this video. Lol thank you so much for sharing. ❤🌴

@@ct6852 yeah they are super nice here. It is really pretty here. But coming from California I deeply miss the mountains in the beach. The humidity in mosquitoes are not so fun. There’s not much to do and they weigh of adventuring here though there’s no where to backpack.

I don't really like traffic, expensive real estate and prices in general. But, I can certainly see the appeal of the big city! So much diversity and interesting things to see and do! I always hear about the seedy parts of California but, overall, it is, apparently, mostly incredible! Thanx for taking us along with you!!

I went to S.F. last year in January too for the first time! It was also the first time I ever traveled and stayed in my car, my first car life journey! I had that same level of excitement when I first saw the city and the bridge. I have ALWAYS wanted to go! I am so glad to go ahead and go because I didn't think I was going to but I just didn't want to risk maybe never coming back and regret it. I did also go to Alcatraz...got so many awesome photos of it, I even made a video of it on my channel...I think you would like it. And, I did not know about those gardens! Man! I am so pissed I missed that! It looked Roman....so cool! Really loved revisiting this beautiful city...but I DID NOT like all the traffic! lol I don't know how they deal w/that...and I live in Phoenix, so we do have a lot of traffic, but NOTHING like that! I also loved the architecture, again...took so many photos...you may also like that video as well...come check em' out when you got the time, if you want!

Great video Christine!! How did you keep the camera so rock steady? Did you use a gimble? Also, next time you're in SF try some Dim Sum! Did you hear/see the Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill? Oh, BTW there's a difference between street cars and cable cars. The ones with the cables beneath the street are cable cars while the ones with the power lines above the street are street cars. Many years ago I won tickets to go on a *night* tour of Alcatraz! Genuinely creepy.... Anyhow, again, great job!

Alcatraz has a pitch black DARK vibe. Wasn't expecting it to be so scary, because it's such a beautiful location. Interesting history, though.

Better yet, walk over the Golden Gate bridge next time, get the full experience. I've heard but never been, thanks for showing the Palace of Fine Arts. Sprouts Sushi at least half the price or more, good call. Its hard to afford restaurants anymore....take care !!

How do you look so fresh and effervescent living in your car for days on end. I spend like 6 hours driving to a place and im a complete mess with fast food packaging and greasy hair and bags under my eyes and dehydrated and a whole bag of anxiety etc...
