If you do the math for a biamplified speaker such as the Grimani Tau or the Procella P815 and you get 300 watts of amplification needed, does that mean that you need 300 wattch in each of the 2 amplification channels required for those kind of speakers ? Or does that mean that you need 150 watts in esch of the 2 amplification channels for 300 watts total going into the speaker?

Doesn't this all depend on if the mix on the disc or stream itself is made to the standard? I've run into may films that do not play correctly at refence at all, either too quiet or way too loud. This takes into mind dialnorm settings as well. This has become more problematic with remixed audio and even on some new films that are boosted way too loud, almost like when loudness is applied to CDs.

So if a 5 channel cinema, each speaker can do a peak of 105, and if all 5 play at the same time we get 120db at the listening position. But if you have a 32 channel trinnov or you are in a Dolby atmos cinema, and if the designer is like, "You know what, this Sonic (the movie) EMP explosion, lets put 105 for each speaker." does that mean we can get like 150db or Dolbys object based audio processor see this and lowers the levels to not exceed a certain SPL ?
