Hi Os, I have a couple of questions regarding the FH2. Firstly, can the FH2 firmware be updated via USB C from the computer or must It be done via USB stick? B, can the FH2 use the Midi breakout to send MIDI to the Disting EX, and\or is there a way to connect them directly via dupont cables, select bus or I²C? I've ordered a USB stick, but can't wait to update the firmware. I'm feeling a bit like a kid at Christmas who didn't get batteries with my new toy robot! By the way, deliveries of your LPs was super fast. I got the Darkroom one this morning. Thanks! Cheers ✌️
The firmware update can only be done via a USB drive. You can connect the FH-2 and disting EX directly via their MIDI headers, or indirectly via the breakout.
I wonder why the output smoothing is not able to smooth more drastic. Only 1s is too less. Many musicians need to smooth the afterouch more, up to 5 seconds, like in the crea8audio Nifty Keyz AT-smoothing. Would it be possible to add this in a future firmware update?
The slowest speed will be achieved by using a tempo-based LFO and setting the base and multiplier high. The non-tempo-based LFOs don't have a range setting currently.
hello Expert Sleepers, i tried to update the firmware but my usb dont want to work it says "waiting for usb flash drive" is there any compatiblity issues with usb 3.0?
I was hoping it would receive ‘note on’ commands from midi that would restart the lfo to the start of the wave shape. It would act sort of like an envelope generator but would continue as an lfo when the note it held. It’s a feature you can find on the behringer neutron’s lfo, it’s hard for me to describe.
@@leftsideneighbour That idea is found on plenty of old synths too e.g. the Juno 6. But no, the FH-2 doesn't have that currently, but it would be easy to add.
Is there an option I can have a dedicated output on the FH-2 just for mod wheel cv and not also pitch? Whenever I set an output to mod wheel, it is also effected by pitch. Can this be unlinked? Thanks.
They're not intrinsically linked. Mod wheel is CC #1, so you can map that to anything. I can't think how that would be affected by pitch as well. Could you post on the forum, where we can share screenshots etc?
Hi I’m a newbie just received my ES9 and tired to connect to Ableton live. I used configuration tool to set ES9 inputs 1 and 2 to output bus 1 and tried to add some effects and record it in Ableton. but it didn’t get the sound from the module. And I also want to know how to set the master out back to the module. Thank you!
I set up my Audio device input and output with es9 in Ableton and input configuration 1,2,3,4, in Mono 1/2 3/4 in stereo and 1,2 1/2 output configuration. I connected my oscillator directly to input 1 of es9, still no sound.
