I enjoyed this video. :) Friendly tip though: When watching a RU-vid video, pressing comma will move the video back one frame at a time, and pressing period will move the video forward one frame at a time. Might be easier for identifying causes of deaths.

Corpse Explosion might the most unbalanced monster mechanic in POE. It is badly telegraphed (if at all) and it does ridiculous amounts of damage.

Seeing as most deaths in this game are spontaneous and hard to see most of the time please do more of these. But please emphasize that we need to be able to see map mods since those can play such a huge part in rips.

I like these! I’m a new player and sometimes I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. It’s nice to hear experienced players explain the Dos and donts

What I'm missing in PoE is death summary statistcs. As a new player I would like to know what killed me? Was that lack of armour? Maybe had reduced cold res for some reason? Maybe got cursed? The idea that you need to analyze frame by frame, visit wiki and decypher your deaths from video is bad.

Good Series.. helps me understand what I am looking at on the screen better. Usually I just avoid pretty lights and spam flasks having no idea what pretty lights hurt me what way.

I’d never seen most of the Sirus bugs until this league. I have an absurdly high damage character that can phase Ubers in half a second. He is SO buggy the faster you kill him. He very often uses his “die” beam after being phased, he throws the instant meteor maybe 1/30 runs, and can die beam you the moment you step into his arena. All things GGG has claimed they fixed. I didn’t realise that killing him slower was so much safer.

The clip sent in is so similar to my experience against Hydra. I am also an SRS build and she kills me the most of the Formed. I noticed she often does that charge attack upon first encountering her. So I recommend running slightly askew to her when running in, same goes for Phoenix.

Love this idea for a series. Played for three leagues now and the defenses are complicated to the point of borderline impossibility due to the sheer numbers of ways you can take damage with almost no visibility.

Love the idea behind this series ! Would also like to see some elaborated input on how much armor/evasion rating/ES & res is required to "face tank" certain boss mechanics. (Is there an easy way to test this in PoB also btw?)

Good video, but I feel like you should also highlight what mechanical mistakes were made. Like for example, how in the DD death clip the key effect to look for was the red glowing corpse on the ground, and the death could have been prevented by walking more diagonal instead of straight. Or in the first clip, where instead of panicking and flame dashing into the chaos cascade it would have been better to flamedash towards the origin of the chaos cascade. In the end you do need to control your character, and better knowing what to look for is good practice.

If you're experiencing blurry/low resolution textures like the guy with Hydra, double check the settings here: Settings -> Graphics -> Advanced Settings -> Dynamic Resolution. Make sure this is set to "Disabled".

Not related to this video but I would really like to see a video guide on how to solve Mana in the late game. Like, when do you go EB, when do you go Lifetap, how much regen do you need to sustain Lifetap, etc.

the suppress mod also affects the poison u get in ur first rip, that map mod is the one i fear the most

Had a similar death to the Hydra one : I was the aurabot in a trio setup going for an Uber Sirus, the storms had not loaded at all, so I walked straight into one and died very confused with my mates yelling at me to get out the the storm xD

Man, I wished I saved my HC death. I just started doing T16 on a DD Elementalist, 5% off from level 90 and I saw that Kirac offered me a tier 10 Caer Blaid Unique Map. Got one shot by the first wolf. I'm not sure if it was a high phys crit or a huge bleed since I didn't have any reduce crit or Lethe Shade.

Editor messed up the outro a bit haha. I like the series, I can't imagine losing a 100s of divs character and logging back in ever again lol.

I had the same issue as the last guy; I had to fight my 1st eater and exarch while they were invisible. Kind of annoying tbf especially since I'm just doing it for a watchstone.

I still have this faded-out issue all the time when entering a new zone. Died countless times in invitations because all was invisible :D most of the time i dont even see the blue indicators to which boss will spawn first

I had problems with asset loading and crashes a lot this league, verifying data files and delete game cache helped in my instance. Have barely crashed since. If it starts being an issue again I reverify game files and that has so far been like a 15min fix. Maybe it helps someone else out.

I wish there was a death recap feature, would make figuring this stuff out something that everyone could do instead of having to seek help of an expert.

last clip visual bug seems to be connected with MTX's in some way. Im also struggling of this shit at several bosses (Maven, Shaper, some guards and Sirus) and the only thing that really fixes it for me - is to turn off all charachter MTX's. Skill MTX doesnt affect anything i guess, only gear This bug occurs not every boss run, but really often (every second one or smth like that)

DD from strongboxes gets me more than most anything else.

I died a few times to assets not loading as well, doing conqueror maps without seeing the boss/their skills is hard...

I don't even wanna click Strongbox sometimes. Explode ,DD,or big ice nova is pretty disgusting. Sometimes got one-shot by it even with 30 headhunter buffs while all res capped and with max spell suppression and other layers of defense. But cast on death monsters are more disgusting. That damage is like nuclear sometimes. Sometimes I die because I saw a good loot and I was picking it up. Nobody was there so I felt safe ,then suddenly purple shit explode from their body to kill me😂

Yeah, new visual engine sometimes is not loading visual assets properly and I have only seen this issue on dx11, I'm frequently having this kinds of graphic crap for 1-2mins after logging into the game after 1st loading screen. Also that one map with the Puppet mistress as its boss, when I play icicle mine 80% of its particles are invisible, shattering sound is missing and ground tiles are either incomplete or missing. Feels like DX12 and Vulkan will fry my PC even on low settings, Deli+big monster pack + eater/exarch proc and the game is a slideshow on 100% PC power, for anyone who thinks its PC problem I have 13600k and 6800XT

i still think that its bullshit that you have to review your own clips in slow motion to figure out what killed you is it really that hard to put 5 second before death to death recap of damage and spells that hit you as it never really is 10 second long death its always split second oneshot

In WoW you have log on what is happening to your character, I miss this option so much in poe because I had plenty deaths where I was wtf just happend. I would love to see the source of this instant kills...

Hello all, I fucking suck at PoE

There have been so many times that I wish PoE had some kind of /whatkilledme command that would show the tail of the combat log. So many deaths are completely impossible to understand for a new player, you don't even know how to prevent them in the future. It feels more like one shot RNG.

Carn explained this death on his channel. Its not a bug. His flask ran out last mili sec and meteor crit so he just died...

I'm a new player. I've been playing this game for about 10 days and I'm on Act 10. I'm not following a guide, just enjoying the game myself and overall it's going well and I'm having fun. But sometimes I just die. 100 to 0 in an instant. Which I wouldn't mind if I was playing a glass cannon nuke monster. But I'm playing a a jugg with 74%+ armor and 76% on all elemental resists (in brackets they go over 100% but if I'm not mistaken there's a cap and those are ignored?) and I have so much regen that I'm basically always at full life no matter what. That's been my experience so far. I'm either face tanking everything and my hp isn't going anywhere or I insta die and I have no idea what killed me. How am I supposed to get tankier? Just increase my max hp? Learn to dodge? I don't even know lol. Can't even imagine if I was playing an actually squishy character.

NGL, if a boss is so bugged that you are better of throwing away your set rather then entering the fight again, then I think that boss should be disabled and his loot distributed to other bosses until they fix him properly. And it's not like it's a new thing or anything, that boss has been bugged in some many ways for such a long time, to the point that I don't even want to run it on softcore even tho my character is capable of killing it no problem, I just don't want to deal with the bullshit.

asset loading has been an issue for me past 4 leauges duo to low end pc it just pushes u to play tanky af builds to be honest :D cus u cant see shit and u cant dodge anything :D

i think dd needs a small redisign, randomly standing on an boss/tanky essence/redbeast should not deal that much damage. like i died in a white t1 map with 5xxx life trying out some random shit with a 9x char, some random spider dd'd the corpse of a redbeast i was standing on insta dead. and just recently i died to dd while doing a breach with 9500es spell supp cap / 63%less while full es(was full es) some spider dd'd a rare mob, insta gone again. this time it was a t9 i think. like not even a tanky essence/red beast/boss or something just a rare.. maybe it had increased life or somehting idk. you can have like 15000-20000 life 90%phys medigation spell suppression cap 90%allres and still just randomly die to dd, like why ? dd should have a damage cap or somehting. make it %of your hp damage but never more than 90-95% or somehting like that.

As a long term newb, I die yesterday to beastcrafting mobs. I hate those. I didn't ask for them; the mobs are too hard for the level; and no loots. The graphics are too loud so I can't see a thing. Terrible all around. Still looking for the alter after a decade.

What does he mean by "sell the portals"? Is he saying he can give credit to 1 player per portal?

The explanation is simple: this game has zero visual clarity and has for over half a decade, the briefest search will show THOUSANDS of forum posts over YEARS consistently complaining about this, from brand new players all the way up to actual alpha veterans. It’s borderline unplayable at times.

This is why i quit the game. So sick of the cheesy one shot mechanics ruining games. They need to be innovative and find better ways of making the game more difficult rather than cheesy one shot bull sh!t
