Exploring a $40,000,000 Gold Mine?

This week, I head over to Nevada to explore the Bonanza King Mine! Currently on the market for $40,000,000!
This gold mine was first worked in 1868 with the open cut mine that is still visible today. Eventually a shaft was put in down to the 300 level. Over the years a variety of crews worked the claim until operations were shut down in 1910.
Since there, there have been a few studies done on this mine. The most recent exploration told to me was in 1993. The explorer that day studied 3 levels of the mine, the 50 level, 75 level, and 100 level. Upon returning, he called the owner, sat down to write up a full report, and died at his typewriter.
Nobody has been into the mine since. This week, I packed my bags to go explore this abandoned mine.

Your take on mystery took back to memories of my late father. He started a new career midlife as an archeologist. As a child I asked him why he chose that path. His answer was so close to the description you give for your motivation to chase the mystery in life, I could almost hear your voices laid like nestled waves together. Thank you for the lovely memory and a mystery of time folding synchronicities. Much love and many more mysterious breathes.

i guess but anyone with half a brain and a platform can make themselves sound profound. the reality is that the amount of information we can say we actually know about this world is nowhere near the amount that is still out there to discover so i wouldnt even say our lives have a lot of definitive facts but that we have tricked ourselves into believing that's how the world is. also dont take this the wrong way lol i actually do agree that brent's vids are very interesting and thought provoking. maybe hes just closer to that mindset since hes out there in the desert all alone. theres a reason people take psychedelics in the desert i guess.

In the 70’s when my grandpa was finally able to return he found the weapons cache, but the French government had outlawed firearms so he was never able to bring his treasure back to the states. Brent, you are an incredible writer and your video presentations have become so professional over the last year. You have no idea how much I look forward to these weekly videos, I'm just mad at myself for missing today's live chat with you before the one hour premiere. Thank you so much, Brent! In the next month your will easily exceed 1,000,000 subscribers because of your incredible skills and your rugged good looks that fit your Ghost Town Living personality.

Hey Brent, another awesome vlog. Great to actually see Johnny completely and not just tufts of hair poking out of a helmet! lol Your little Q&A of each other was fun, would love to hear more. Mostly, I just want to tell you that I love all your vlogs, but, I know this sounds crazy, but I almost look forward to the end the most. You are such an eloquent speaker, you are thought provoking, always warm and heartfelt. You are wise beyond your years. You have become my Saturday treat. Stay safe and as always, big love from Sacramento.

Pro-tip: Get a DJI Osmo Action cam, tie it to a rope with a flashlight attached to it and you can connect to it from your phone wirelessly over it's own built-in wifi access point and then lower it down into these holes you come across to see if they're worth further investigation BEFORE sending an actual person down into it.
@MrD308
@MrD308 3 года назад
Will that work while dangling upside down from a rope? Will the gimbal operate in that orientation and automatically invert the video?
@InSanCen
@InSanCen 3 года назад
Not really a Pro-tip. As long as you're aware of the risks, it's fine. Us mine explorers are generally very familiar with how mines were worked, the dangers within and how to best mitigate them.

What a relief this is, knowing you go into an old mine but you have your buddy with you, it's like a mini vacation from my nerves, knowing you are not alone in those unsafe tunnels and being able to fully enjoy your adventure, without being on edge all the time lol then listening to your wise musings, with amazing pics and a souldeep music... aaahhh life is good!

There's many pages about mine exploration and adventures but this is the best. Brent is calm and wise and passionate. I hate those hyper immature flashy type of channels ugh.

I resonate so much with your closing thoughts here. We simply don't know everything about our world and even though we may think we know a lot, there's still lots to be discovered or rather re-discovered. I've always loved reading or watching stuff about ancient civilizations or the depths of the jungles and people's explorations of the unknown. It's fascinating overall to see what we can uncover. History lost or yet to be made.

You will feel it quite fast because there is alot of Cerro Gordo in every video 😁 The joking aside. I really like the videos and to follow you trought the exploration and history has been so fun and emotional. Thank you for this amazing journey that you are taking us on. Love from Sweden.
