After another slight issue I hit the road again without a definite plan.
I then found myself in one of the most amazing places I've ever been, Mavora Lakes. I also take a trip out to the end of the road to Walter Peak Station and Mt Nicholas.

Awesome journey Sam. Loving this adventure. The area is so picturesque with the snow. Done Queenstown many moons ago. Looking forward to the next installment

Just wondering how long does it take to travel from Lake Mavora up to Walter Peak Station and would one need to be an experienced 4wd driver to do this trip ? Cheers

What Inreach do you have there, and whats your thoughts on it?

Mines the Garmin 66i Not necessarily the most user friendly. Bit I love it. I've been using Garmin's for years Geocaching, so use it for that too a fair bit. The sat features are so handy. For checking in when Solo, or can arrange assistance for minor things rather than it turning into an emergency.

Where did the track start to go into Water peak station? Did you drive all the the way their from South Mavora?

Yeah it comes off Mavora Lakes road. It starts as Mt Nicholas road
