Hi all, thanks for dropping into my next exploration where we dive into what use to be the place to go for a break from everyday life, back in the early 1900s. A third of the building is collapsed from constant exposure to natural elements, and the only safe part of the building is locked from the inside. Even though I was never able to make it inside, it still felt like traveling through time.
The property suffered a multitude of fires during its time of operation. And modern technological advances, like the car, made the hotels attention by locals scarce, thus leading to financial struggles. Building maintenance became unaffordable, its conditions went causing the resort to die a slow painful death, concluding its time in 1970, when the resort closed forever.
For obvious reasons, I will not be disclosing the location of this structure, and if you're exploring any property, be sure to respect all trespassing laws and signs. Or make sure you have permission to enter the property. Wear face protection, for most dated 20th century building contain amounts of asbestos. I will be uploading more content like this in the future. Thanks for reading, hope you found this as interesting as I did!

After exploring an abandoned radar station, and an abandoned mall (both in Vermont), I feel like I have to see this now. I have friends to help as well. Thank you for the video! Really helped!

Great vid I've been wanting to go here a while. I planned to explore here with a friend and even drove by a few weeks ago and we got sick on the trip so we didn't. Def check out the abandoned Lyndonville air force base if you haven't already

The reason the doors are locked up, is last time I researched I found that an old guy owned the place with intent on keeping people out. The part that collapsed that you saw collapsed in one of the recent winters, and the reason people are deterred is because of how deteriorated the building is. It became abandoned once a fire broke out in the main building, and it is extremely dangerous to walk around In because it’s a massive health hazard-getting a house dropped on you typically is lol 😂. It’s a shame the place fell to pieces though, it’s one of the oldest buildings in VT history and could of been saved by our historical society I’d like to think if it hadn’t become so destroyed.

It is sad that it didn't get restored.

By the looks of it, the majority of the building is deemed rotted beyond repair. One building seems to be in decent condition, but I'm sure there's loads of asbestos, lead paint, etc. The property is owned. What they plan to do with it is beyond me. Thanks for watching! :)

It was, but it was too much for the people to handle. There are the ones that own the house. The house and the hotel us to be connected at one point.

It's sad that this building is like this. My Great Granfather helped renovate it. It was beautiful when it was in its hay day and when it was being renovated. My Grandfather is probably turning over in his grave.

Cool video just subbed. Are you based out of Vermont? I film abandoned stuff mostly throughout NJ, NY, and PA but I was up in Vermont over the summer

Vermont is beautiful! I love driving through there. I reside in Southern NH. And thank you so much for subscribing! I recently purchased my first DSLR and I can't wait for this summer when I get to travel more and bring more content

Where did you park your car? Or did you park far away and walk a bit

I remember parking across the street pulled over on the side of the road. It was in front of this open area/field of some kind.

I’m gonna go there, maybe I’ll be able to kick a door open. I bet I could break open a door from the 1800s

Most of that place was so dilapidated, it hardly looked like there was a floor at all in the main buildings. And this was a while ago, i can imagine how they are now. One building however was in very decent shape. I don't condone breaking into a place, but I cant stop you. There is a house about 500 feet away, and there was a sign claiming they have game cameras. (Tree cams) not trying to be a downer, just informing is all. Be safe! :)

@@eef603 it’s not breaking in, by the look of the video you were barely pushing on it. Imma give it some muscle

@megaaggron9778 all doors were/are boarded from the inside with 2×4s. Any other open entry was too dangerous. Keep in mind I do this alone. I take extra precautions because of this. Hope ye understand
