I have been to that stadium many times. I used to see Willie McCovey almost every time in the back walkway area behind the Field Club seats. He was always smiling, and he was always willing to speak with any fan who greeted him. Very kind man. RIP Willie.
I'm watching on the 15th which is my 67th birthday. Watched the Giants play at that park at least 10 times. My husbands ashes were thrown in the water there at McCovey Cove. We honored his wishes. Rest in peace, Jeff. Husband, father son, uncle and friend to many.
I'm from the UK and had relatives living in SF. At the end of 2001, I was lucky enough to go over and stay for 3 mths. My 'kissing cousin' had a corner suite at Pac Bell, as I believe it was called back then. I had never been to a baseball game before, even though I had visited the US and SF many times. However, it was all about to change on this visit. I realise now just how lucky I was. I went on 3 occasions, twice to the 'playoffs,' and to the final of the World Series, where SF won the championship. To this day, I still have the tickets as a memento. It was a magical experience, the atmosphere was palpable. Someone said to me when I was there, that some SF natives don't get to go to a World Series, and you went 3 times. I was indeed, very fortunate.
I'll always remember this park from the early 2000s when Barry Bonds was hitting home runs into the water. Was always entertaining to see the kayakers paddling after the ball.
My father was born in 1927 in San Francisco. He said when he was a teenager him and others would use bar soap and coat the cable tracks on the hills and the soap would get on the wheels causing the brakes not to work well. The cable cars would pick up speed and they would would laugh real hard listening to the women screaming when it went around the corner at the bottom. 😂
That only works in a couple of places though. For the most part the cable cars are gripping the driver cable under the tracks. But there are a few places where the cable cars just coast. So you gotta be a local to know where the places are where the cable cars aren't tethered to that cable for this trick to work 😁
The tail end of September and October is the summer months for San Francisco. It can be miserable sometimes because most buildings don't have air-conditioning because they don't need it. I do miss candle stick but the new stadium is beautiful. Thanks again.
Yay! You are in the Bay Area! Definitely recommend a few places in town. Musée Mécanique which has old coin operated games. Tonga Room is a really cool Tiki bar and Restaurant…pretty sure Anthony Bordain visited that place as well. The band plays music on a boat in the middle of the restaurant….and the Tiki ambience is pretty cool! Also Lands End area has a lot of history about the Sutro Baths and the Cliff House that used to be a vacation destination back in the day. Lots of cool places in Northern California! Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk also has a lot of old vintage spots as well (Old carousel, Laughing Sal from an old themed area that was in SF, an old swimming pool that is now Put Put golf) that you should check out at some point. Enjoy the Bay Area!
All great. Tonga Room feels like a blast from the past. Feels like the 50's or something. That hotel it's in is seriously beautiful as well. The Palace is a cool hotel as well. Where they filmed The Game.
Adam, I never miss your videos I've been watching you for years. I have to get my dose of thedailywoo. I love Daphne, she is so adorable. I just love when you guys make videos together and you look so good together! Anyway, Adam, thank you for the videos and keep them coming 🌹
People sometimes ask how do the seagulls know to swoop in near the end of the game to eat up the food left in the seating area and the answer is that they listen to the game on the radio.
The weather was refreshing I bet! Near my home town. SF remains special in my heart. Great stadium, been there many times. So glad you made a trip to the Bay Area. Have fun & happy trails!
YOU WERE MY FAVORITE CITY BY THE BAY. I HOPE IT WAS CLEAN AND ACCOMMODATING IVE LEFT MY HEART AND HAVENT BEEN BACK IN LONG TIME TOO MANY NEFARIOUS INCIDENTS . OUR SF TEAM IS #2 thanks for visiting ❤
Adam....I was cringing listening to that tour guide talk about the Joe Panik play in the 2014 World Series. First of all, it happened in Game 7 in Kansas City (she said Game 5, which was actually played in SF) Joe Panik was the second baseman and he dove and flipped the ball from his glove to Brandon Crawford, the shortstop. The play was initially called safe but on review was overturned to a double play. It was such a huge play in that close game and one of the highlights of our 3 WS titles. I can't believe a tour guide would get that so wrong. So I guess the lesson is, can't always take tour guides for their word.
I'm not sure if most of the tour ended up on the editing room floor but that was an underwhelming stadium tour. And the guide didn't sound very sure of what she was saying. I could barely understand her too.
Pleasantly surprised by your video 👍. Really enjoyed seeing San Francisco in better shape than expected. Didn’t know Natalie was a local. Really enjoyed the game and viewing spot👍. I loved seeing my favorite fountain/ waterfall- by the Hyatt? I loved walking through it years ago. So happy it’s still there 🥳. Glad you are there and looking forward to your next post. 👏👏👏
Hate my giants lost but super excited you got to finally check out the stadium. Not to be bias, but definitely one of the most beautiful stadiums in the MLB. Have a good day!
if you guys are headed down the coast be sure to check out the Monterey Bay Aquarium and maybe Hearst Castle if youre going all the way down the 1, have fun and I hope you get to see some of California central coast
I grew up going to candlestick and never got the chance to go to oracle park. I remember they wanted a new stadium in the late 80s because candlestick was too cold. Tropicana field was actually built to lure the giants away from San Fran and candlestick. Looks like the giants got their act together and built one of the nicest stadiums in baseball. For my money PNC and Camden yards are pretty nice too. Thanks for the tour. Rays up!
I love the Giants park and the Stadium tours. San Fransisco use to be a good city to live in. Even with the occasional earth quakes. But I would still love to go to a Giants game. It's so pretty by the water. Cool to see them still have the old Trollies.
Adam, thank you soooo much for saying 3 to nothing, 4 to nothing etc..., instead of 3 to zero, much appreciated. love you for all you do. My day wouldn't be complete without you!
Dugout club seats. Fancy. There is so much to see at the park. Hopefully you got to check out the AAA Club level as well. That is my favorite place to watch the game. Go Giants !!
Glad you saw a fun game and a Rays win! "Alphabet Park" is a great Stadium to visit. Have enjoyed some nice games there when I travel up. One great visit there was for a couple Rolling Stones Concerts in Oct 2005 with Metallica opening. My Jr High School friend who moved there was a long time supporter of Reds'. He always talked about their excellent priced grub pre- ballpark opening.
Take the ferry to Alameda, then go to the USS Hornet. Have lunch at the RockWall winery out on the old Navy tarmac. The view is one of the best in the Bay Area. plus you can go to the beach and check out historic Alameda!
I’m from Sacramento and I have been to San Francisco so many times. I went to 2 Giants home games 15 years ago while I was attending San Francisco State University for one school year. It was then called AT&T Park.
So awesome your showing the Oracle stadium! Just was at a game last week! I’ve never been on a tour there. Its such an awesome ballpark! Not as cool as candlestick😜 bc that was my childhood but oracle is a close second🧡🖤

Wow, Adam, we were also at the game last night (infield view level, way up in the nosebleeds) - so very frustrating as a Giants fan - but I had a good feeling you’d be there. Was looking forward to seeing your awesome team in person. Sad loss for us, but tonight was waaay better! How about our boy Meckler? Nice young man, hope for all the best. So many minor-leaguers getting called up lately, fascinating. Baseball is definitely a bit different these days. Thx SO much for the stadium tour! Honestly never thought of that, great surprise gift for my husband, he’ll love it. Just gotta say, go baseball! I hope the new rules & whatever comes of that helps the game continue on forever. Solidarity ⚾️
I lived in San Leandro when I was growing up! We use to go to SF as teenagers and we had so much fun! Things have changed there now! It was nice to see you there it’s memories for me! Thank you Adam for the video it was fun
I also grew up in San Leandro. Went to SL high school. Used to cut school and take the bus to the city. It cost 25 cents back then. Watched the Giants play at Candlestick and Oracle. Fun times. Thanks for the memories Adam.
Back in 1987 went to a punk rock show at a place called The Farm. It was a old barn as I remember. There in San Francisco, I also went to many Metal and Goth clubs. Lots of memories.
Ha ha! Called it! Daphne there for this series of blogs. For the record, Candlestick was at a different location, south of the city. lol; it’s not downtown, it’s “the city”! Hmm, no mention of the Wander Franco suspension! 🤨 See you both tomorrow.
That fountain reminds me of the old "Brutalist" McKeldin Fountain in Baltimore that was demolished. Miss seeling it and walking through it. Thanks for sharing this unique one Adam.
IMO San Francisco is America's most beautiful city. Thanks for showing the beauty and not what the media and most you tubers dwell on. That huge building at union square is St Francis Hotel. Famous for when Fatty Arbuckle stayed and was falsley accused of sexual misconduct by the muckraker William Randolph Hearst.
Sat here in the UK at 59 ° - looking forward to Fl next month !!. Enjoy yr videos - really interesting - even though i'm 8000 miles away & i've never been so close to the action in a MLB game ! - superb footage.
I went to San Francisco for the 1st time less than a month ago and did more than half the stuff you did in this video. Feels like you’re retracing my steps lol
Not gonna lie, that tunafish sandwich on sourdough french bread looked delicious. I've had their cheeseburgers before and fries, but ill have to try that sandwich next time!!!!!! 👍
Great video! My husband and I are going to San Francisco next week for our anniversary and will be going to a game. Now that I know about the stadium tours we will try to catch one.
