The little animated characters were great. I really enjoyed them. This was really nice. I haven't been outside since Oct. Mobility issues and snow are a bummer. I started watching videos from other countries to "travel" using the net. The old goth in me loves the bag.

After finding your channel like a month ago I have watched every video and have been waiting for a new upload! Thank you Emma for all the work you put in and thank you for being just yourself :) Your videos fill me with this kind of content feeling you get on rainy days while you sit at home with a book and a warm cup of tea. It's funny how life is. I remember being here quite some years back, seeing as you went in your life, getting your first apartment then the 2nd and 3rd, cherishing for you to succeed. Then I got an opportunity to interact with you via twitch, I felt good being able to share ideas and memes! I also loved your kitchen chats. Wow, what a cool experience seeing Kyoto like that. I was there in 2019 and it was so crowded. Also wish I had seen that bag when I was there. My wife would have loved that clutch!

Thanks, Emma, for sharing your views of Kyoto. Just 11 months ago I strolled through the same back streets of Gion and passed Hard Rock Café. On ca. 20 trips to Kyoto I had not been to this beautiful part of town before. Loved it ! Without tourists from China, streets were already as empty then as they are still until now.

LOVED THIS!! Always wanted to see Kyoto and the Gion district since being obsessed with “Memoirs of a Geisha”. It’s more beautiful that I thought. I would love to see it during cherry blossom season. Love the glasses too Emma. They completely change how you look!

Tip, bring walking shoes and a reasonably good amount of stamina. Kyoto is not flat. But it's a delight if you like old stuff, new stuff and oases of silence in the middle of a big city

lovely visuals! (obviously unfortunate circumstances) but it's cool that you got to chill in a less congested kyoto! so beautiful. kyoto has a special place in my heart 'cause I got to celebrate my 21st birthday there with my study-abroad group! a bunch of schoolgirls (like 10) saw us lighting a cake by a stream and they joined in to sing and take way too many group photos, haha!

I've recently decided where I will visit when I finally get to Japan, and Kyoto in one of those places. Which, on the face of it, quite a vague idea. Watching your video (and a few from the past) has given me more specific ideas making me think "Yep, I want to go there...there too...there as well....". Now it seems I need to add like another 2 weeks to my planned trip.

great stuff. I love Kyoto, even when it was crazy busy with tourists, you could find quiet spaces. the big busses of kids and tourists only go to certain places.

Gasshadokuro came to visit Sydney in 2019. I saw him at the Art Gallery of Sydney. They had a display of yokai based ukiyo-e and other yokai art called Japan Supernatural. My faves were all the Kitsune art. I got myself a case for my glasses of the ukiyo-e "The Moon over Musashi plain" from the One Hundred Aspects Of The Moon collection by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi.
