The object with holes at 16:40 looks like a water pipe rose - it would be fitted on the intake end of a water pipe (from a stream to a water tank for instance) to stop grass and stones etc gong into the pipe.

Hey Sgt. Chigger! Good to hear your a Vet! Me too. Just began a few months ago. I have a huge interest in digging bullets & Civil War relics. My question is; I know Jeb Stewart’s cavalry camped near my neighborhood near Dillsburg, PA. I just can’t seem to find the location. Found bunch of pits, a bean pot, melted lead, musket bayonet just in my back yard. I let Jocelyn dig my yard a couple years ago but, I found much of what she missed w/ a cheap detector. Any clues in locating the rebel camp?

The $1 coin is everywhere in my city they give it out as change for parking meters and bus passes, I also work at one of the big name banks and can tell you the coins with liberty on the back are still being minted today.

Dad would have said that ground was harder than a hickory d-bleep on a hobby horse. Man had a way with words that, I apologize, weren’t family friendly, but he was loved by all as Uncle Buck.

You guys should use a hand spade to cut the frost. Or hold your shovel strait up and kick the whole kick plate! Both sides of the handle at the same time. That's how we dig frost up here in Michigan!

Watching you struggle with frozen ground, reminds me of watching old videos of ground crews back in the day pushing big flame throwers on wheels to thaw a football field when it was frozen before the game.

Mr. Chigg... At 12:10 , yes that is a musket cap. A little different than a rifle cap. A musket cap looks like a little top hat with the little brim, where a rifle cap looks like a tiny cup and has no ''brim''. Another great adventure. Thanks.

I once in 1982 detected for a week and dug nothing and then dug for three days and detected nothing due to frozen ground.marked the ground with paint and golf tees . Now that was a adventure .wish i had the carrot back then. Had a maplin or toy cardboad plastic metal detector kit in plastic bag . We made do lol

Hey Chigg! That piece at 16:30 looks like a water pump hose fitting. It’s got a name, but I don’t remember what it is. It goes into the water and filters out the big stuff from going into the pump.

That's a recent dollar coin. Not the Sacajawea coin, but the 2007+ coin which I think first had James Madison on it and I don't remember who's currently on it. Don't quote me on that, but it's definitely a recent dollar coin.

I've only been detecting for about 10 years but I've NEVER found any keepers in an old camp fire pit lol. Never ever. Old burned down house........yes. Old town dump site....yes. Old camp fire........never. People don't toss good stuff into camp fires. You may get a bottle but it will usually be melted or broken.
