EXPLORING NEW LOCATIONS: Upper Stony Creek Reservoir

My good mate Jason Lane from On The Edge Lures was in town this week and we both decided that a good exploratory trip was on the cards to find a new spot that we have never fished before. We check out Upper Stony Creek Reservoir and find that there are some bloody nice Redfin there! Enjoy :)

The big munrows paddle tails are killer on the mulloway People had me convinced they were a winter fish, we have been getting way more now and the fight heaps harder with the warmer weather Decent afternoon with a few reddies there 👍 Really thought old mate Jas had a trout as well Nice one to end the vid mate

Cheers Mick! Yeah I got my 1.05m Mulloway on the 3.75' paddle tail from Munroes, Allan sure does make some bloody good soft plastics! Can't rate them highly enough.

@@jordythebassist hahaha there ya go Yeah seen plenty of big ones on the munrows You have to give the Daiwa kicker curlys a go for the bass year, nothing more fun than skip casting them up into structure and hearing that boof, been getting all the bigger fish on frogs and way back in structure Fishing 12 and 12 to pull them out of there Lost a giant today he boofed it twice, second time he was on but he swam straight passed me and unhooked... Good fun wading in the shallows, amazing how little of water they will sit in.

What time of day did youse go? And do you let the lure sink to the bottom or retrieve from the surface? Been struggling to catch many fish there

Hey mate, we arrived around 5.30pm. Apparently the fish bite best just on dark there. We let the plastic sink to the bottom and then hop it back in. We tried slow rolling it that day too as apparently they like that retrieve too but the hop technique was getting them that day.
