We've been on holiday! But not just any holiday, it was a bit of an adventure - off the beaten path in northern Vietnam. Join us for an epic trip on motorbikes, night trains, buses and boats. We hiked into the mountains to take part in some volunteer projects, did some building work, ate a lot of delicious food and enjoyed some absolutely stunning scenery. What an amazing gift you gave from the heart! I ,my daughter and her teenaged grandson raised money in Canada and built 11 houses for needy families in the mountain area of Guatemala ! Cement pads were done ahead of time and we did the rest right to painting inside and out! It changed our lives!Thanks for taking us along ,bless you both for generous hearts!

Life is so short! Looking back now, I wish I had done things like this in my life. Please don’t stop as you will regret later. As my husband and I have had a beautiful 50 years together, done a lot of amazing things in our lives, nothing as great as what you two have done. Life is short as I help my husband through cancer treatments. Hold on tight! Thanks for sharing

The food is lovely! Also for any future trips to Asia, charcoal tablets do wonders for the occasional stomach bug. Usually it'll be uncooked vegetables carrying some bacteria from the water. Innocent but frustrating. Looking forward to the rest of the episodes and the return to Portugal!

We are warned not to eat raw food ( herbs also) and never drink the water, (or use ice in a drink )except for bottles,and not to eat icecream .

I love the format of showing the whole holiday and then later doing a few specials. Most RU-vidrs just break it up in chronological episodes but this is much more satisfying. Thanks!

I went to Sapa over twenty years ago when I was working with the World Bank on capacity building. Amazing transformation. So different to my visit. I lived in VN for 25 years and never cease to be amazed at how the country and its people have changed. My husband, who is Vietnamese, never got to Sapa, which we always regretted. You did look quiet gaunt and ill when you stepped off the motorbike after loop trip. You had to be exhausted both of you. What a varied trip you had. Marvellous work done to assist people who needed help. Ye did it without the hoopla others seem to need..ye did it kindly and really gently. Well done...Good genuine people giving back to countries ye visit...more of us should do that. Too many of tourists the world over ruin places and take take take...not ye. Be proud ye all made a difference. An Irish person here.
