I’ve and it’s the usual NONSENSE from Tovia Singer. 🤣🤣🤣 There are other Jews (those who believe in Jesus Christ as the Messiah) who explained this perfectly as a prophecy about Jesus. @@savtamarlene It has been very difficult. First upon realizing rabbi singer is correct I was very sad and I’m not quite myself for a week or two. After much consideration thought and prayer I am no longer upset and I’m trying to learn the truth but yes as far as family goes I am raised in a loosely Catholic home, so as you can imagine my whole family except my oldest brother thinks I’m nuts. However my oldest sibling seems to be on the same path as me. I feel a strong calling towards the Jewish people and to understand the Jewish perspective.

Ah, the translation you are using and the KJV are both english translations of the original hebrew then. The translation you are using seems more clear (although the english grammar is a bit off) and the KJV, the only version i am familiar with, seems more ambiguous. Has a great and accurate English translation with commentaries. A good Tenach which is the Torah + Nevi’im/Prophets + Ketuvim/writings including Psalms, etc is by Artscroll. Also great and accurate English translations from the Hebrew with excellent commentaries. Hatzlachah/ much success!

The servant of Isaiah 53 is indeed called "Israel" in Isaiah 49:3. However , this "Israel" is given an assignment by Yahweh in Isaiah 49:5-6 to bring him "the tribes of Jacob"! Let's see the passage below. Isaiah 49:5-6 5 And now, saith Yahweh that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of Yahweh, and my God shall be my strength. 6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. I saw recently on Prager U, “an atheist embraced God”. I thought “I’m so happy”. Then I watched it. Apparently, the atheist was a Jewish girl, and she “found Jesus”. I was like: “well, that’s not a success story at all”. I’m Jewish and I have to say that becoming a Christian has been a great temptation for the Jews throughout the centuries and still remains that way now. It takes no effort to join the largest and richest religious group in the world. What not to like? When I hear that a Jew joined Christianity, I always think that he just wanted an easy way out. Unfortunately, it is very bad for a Jew to abandon God. Worst Jewish individuals in history came from such background. Examples are Soros and Marx. I’m sure there are plenty good Jewish Christians and atheists, but it’s a slippery slope, you never know how it turns out.
